The Browns are +5 in takeaways today. Since the Browns returned to the NFL, teams with a turnover margin of +5 or better in a game are 132-4-1. The Browns are responsible for two of those losses and the tie.

The whole ending of that game was crazy! I loved it, at least we didn't lose.

What player was blocking the other player that blocked the field goal? Or was it just a bad kick?

Indeed. Garrett was pressuring the QB constantly from all over the line. Ward played like a veteran, which is crazy considering the team we were going against.

Also, Genard Avery got some good pressure, including the play where Schobert got the INT.

The penalty on Garrett was atrocious. To make matters worse they Steelers scored on the next play. Awful.

David Njoku's hands -- also awful.

I don't know how much was on TT and how much was on the WR not being able to get open. The field was soaked all day, that slows down routes.

A blocked punt and a blocked fg....our special teams are terrible and will cost us many games this season along with our terrible run defense

We need to get it to Josh Gordon more. And giving Duke Johnson draw plays on 3rd and 15 is not how we need to get them involved.

Britton Colquitt had an overlooked All-Pro game.

522 yards punting.

My gut reaction was that he was bad. He held the ball too long and was inaccurate on several throws where guys were open. Gordon was open with a good throw on the INT too.

defense was outstanding today even if they gave up 21 points. Steelers have one of the best offenses if the NFL and we eventually shut them down.

The offensive line is terrible. We better spend some real draft capital on it in the future drafts. I didn't like Hyde or Chubs before the season started and I've seen nothing to change my mind YET.

It's clear to me that Tyrod loses accuracy in the rain ... so apparently does Big Ben. I would take today with a grain of salt and put more blame on our WRs who failed to get open enough. Again not a great day to be a WR but somehow the other team and Landry on ours was able to do just fine.

I miss Phil Dawson =(

Another day another los…… tie to the Steelers.
Defense almost won the game.
FG kicking awful.
TT had a bad day.
Steelers tried to give us a win and we sent it back for a tie.
Can we open the frig half way?

2 good things, we are half a game in the plus column and we took half a game away from the steelers who had it all but wrapped up 21-7 late! thumbsup

If that half game keeps them out of the playoffs, that will be a win!

Once we were down a bit I just felt like this was over. Surprising outcome to say the least...

Few thoughts..
1) Hue can say he is .500. Heh.
2) Losing streak is over, albeit in a strange way.
3) We didn’t lose to the Steelers at home again on opening day.
4) Defense made some plays
5) Offense has some major issues. We did seem to run the ball well at certain times. I feel like maybe the offense will come together more with some more time... The WR group is new this year for the most part. RB are new. QB new. Joe Thomas is gone. Not a lot is intact from last year and we have a new OC and... it shows.
6) It would have been nice to see this game without the rain/weather playing a factor
7) The team kept playing until the end even though there were problems throughout the game. They didn’t quit.
8) Somehow, this is an improvement over last year. It isn’t a loss.

3 or 4 players returned on offense from last year. That takes time to gel.

Both Garrett and Ward look like they want to be All Pro, based on this 1st game.

The game was played in horrendous conditions, which, while not the whole problem on offense, was, at least, a part of the problem.

the defense absolutely gift-wrapped this game to the team, but offense and ST said no.

our defense is gonna be fun to watch this year.

the offense....man i dunno where to start. the offensive line? Tyrod.

both the QB and O line cost us so much today.

I really needed a win to erase that little stat stating that the most wins at home by a Browns QB is 10! Since 1999! Big Ben has 11! That's absolutely unacceptable! That's just sticking with me! Ugly stat!

Defense hung in there and kept us in the game. Great!

Speaking of Defense, THAT is what got the Bills in the playoffs last season.

I was really encouraged by this game. At the end of the day, the Browns overcame a 14 point deficit and the Superbowl-contending Steelers couldn't separate themselves.

Here is four immediate observations.

1. I hate to be that guy, but I feel like so many calls were missed. The Steelers seemed to get away with holding or PI all game. Even at the end, that block in the back on Garrett was weak, and it did look like offsides on the final kick.

2. As Hue Jackson just said in the presser, this football team has grit. It was a hard fight to get in this position, but they did it. The Browns typically find a way to suffocate themselves into an embarrassing loss - this time, they put themselves in winning position multiple times.

3. It was damn nice to see the young players showing out. Garrett, Peppers, Avery, Ogunjobi and Ward really flashed. They all played really well. Higgins had a huge catch. It's a shame Ogbah got hurt early. Njoku had a few near misses for what would have been some excellent production - sometimes he'll get them, sometimes he won't. It's exciting to see the young players really starting to make plays.

4. The game was what we expected. The defence should be pretty damn good, but the offense will be a few steps behind - particularly early. The good thing is we've now got some veteran talent who can pour over the film and really learn from what they're seeing. I trust that corrections can be made, and I think guys like Taylor and Landry will really benefit.

Overall, I don't understand why people are mocking the Browns and some fans are really upset. People predicted a big loss. Instead, the Browns gave the Steelers the fright of their life. This is something to build upon. The best team we'll see this year couldn't get past us. That's a positive.

My lasting thought was, 'My God, Tyrod Taylor can't throw and has no arm strength.'

Defense was pretty good when pressure was dialed in. I hate the 2 safety deep formation that Greg Williams loves to call. Those safeties are just too deep and leaves the middle wide open. Save that for the 3rd and really longs not the 2nd and 6-8.

The OL needs help.

I might consider remedying this sooner rather than later. Coaching and execution seems to be horrible.

OH. MY. GOD.

That was insanity. Absolute insanity.
I was ho hum in the 4th quarter and then everything started to change.
And the whole bar was rooting for us! And going crazy!

We almost won!
Too much adrenaline. I feel exhausted now.

That was so much fun.

Our D is legit. That Ward kid rocks. They all rock.
We took out Big Ben.

Not a fan of Tyrod, but I give him a pass only because of the weather, and our O is all new.

We didnt't loose!!!
