Zane's performance was sub-optimal

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

We should've kept Martin or whoever that other kicker we had was.

I'm tired of losing.

The game plan was executed for the most part ... you want an ugly game vs their offence.

What Zane did today is a microcosm of Hue's coaching record in Cleveland ... tsktsk

Sub-optimal? Absolutely ridiculous and worse than horrible. Cost us two wins now. Next week our kicker better be Aobh. Any one but him.

Too bad Hue can't kick.
Zane has to go, can't be relied upon.

Tyrod missed some open throws today: high to Landry, behind Higgins, had a guy open on the far side in the fourth quarter - around their 20 - but he couldn't get it to him.

Callaway flashed, nice step forward for a rookie WR.
Literally, I'd cut him right now.

Our D gave us a chance, sucks to lose another close one but we are making progress.

How do you guys get to cost us two wins? He didn't miss the block on the guy that blocked the kick!

- Get Zane Gonzalez off the team immediately. Get Dan Bailey signed immediately.

- Browns didn't capitalize on the TOs

- Need to score more TDs

- Tyrod Taylor made 1 big play today. It's not enough. He needs to provide more.

- David Njoku provided very little.

- Another solid effort by the defense wasted.

- The Bud Light Browns coolers stay locked.

- It's been 1008 days since the Browns won on a Sunday.

Zane has failed his test. Callaway steps up in the absents of Gordon ... Although on but a handful of targets.

All the opposing teams need to win against us is a phantom call from the refs and our own kicker.

Gotta say, though. Haley really sucked in the 4th quarter. Did he run Hyde once in the 4th?

It was a really nice overall game against a team that nobody gave us a chance against. In that capacity, I'm again thrilled. We knew these opening two games would be the most difficult of the season - yet both times, this young team had wins in their clutches, only to let it slip away.

I think that's important: Against the Steelers and Saints, the Browns didn't lose so much as cost themselves the game.

That's a transition for any young team. Being able to make the plays when the plays need to be made. Once the flip switches, I'm excited for what can happen.

I said it in the other thread, but I'm heartbroken for Gonzalez. Hard to imagine how that kid feels right now. I was really impressed with the way the team rallied around him, and immediately stepped in to support him. Nice to see the chemistry the team is building in terms of relationships. That'll be important moving forward.

Overall, a crappy, frustrating, gut-wrenching, annoying day - but the signs of life are there. This team isn't far away.

Anybody blaming anybody but Gonzalez is a freaking fool. They held NO to 21 points. Taylor threw the TD to tie it and then threw to put them in position to win. Blaming him is just pure hate.

Fire Gonzalez before he gets on the bus. The guy cost us at least 7 points.

The Jets better be ready for a battle.

I thought he did a really, really nice job today. I love the kid, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't secretly think that Cam Jordan was going to spend the day spankin' that ass.

The kid took a giant leap from an average debut.

That's really exciting. His timeline of play as been so damn incredible. Literally every single week, he's shown improvement over the week before.

Don't want to get over-excited, but if this is the RAW version of Harrison, I can't wait to see the polished version.

I have to say I agree. Harrison’s name wasn’t called at all today. Best thing you can say for a rookie LT

The offense struggled to pass the ball again this week, but the running game looked better.

Browns defense once again gave the offense every opportunity to win and the offense actually did find a way to position the team to win but the kicker had other plans.

Think it is obvious that Zan needs to go. I would not even let him on the team plane ride home.

The defense did struggle with stopping the run again this week.

All in all the Browns have stood up to two top QBs and two of the better teams in the league thus far they just do not know how to win.

Cam Jordan is a heck of a good player ... Jordan did manage to get a sack off of Hubbard on a bull rush.
