Coverage, kicking, etc. Make the center learn how to snap the ball too, that was hard to see the consistent amount of low snaps. After watching that game, victory or not - we got some work to put in.

I just watched part 1 of the Urban Meyer interview with Tim Rinaldi on ESPN. Boy, they kept trying to get him to implicate his wife by paraphrasing and repeating the same questions he already answered. Personally, I think those communications are sacred and should be off limits....this isn't a court of law, it's a lame ass reporter trying to trap somebody in a "gotcha" moment. The rest of the interview, Urban just stuck to his guns and reinforced his apology statment. They also played clips of the accuser, and she didn't come across as very convincing. ESPN's anti-OSU bias was evident in the reporters comments after the video.

Entertaining game last night. Some takeaways:
--Haskins looked good. I was worried that he would fold under pressure, but he stayed w/it and made some big plays. Our passing game is miles ahead of where it was.
--Our two RBs are very good. Both are tough, fast, quick enough, can go the distance, and can make the tough yards.
--Mack had a lot of drops, but I think that is unusual for him. Our WR corps is very talented.
--#89 at TE can't block at all.
--The low snaps were annoying as hell.
--Our linebackers are not very good. They seem slow to me.
--Our secondary is raw and not very good right now.
--Our DL is awesome. Thank God.
--I thought our kick coverage was pretty good overall.
--I hope Bosa doesn't miss more than one game. He's incredible.
--We showed perseverance in overcoming a very good team that has a lot of skill. Great victory for us.

What kills me is that ESPN trashes OSU all the time, but they and their parent company show them on TV every chance they get.

Unbelievable game last night. Why can't the Browns just flip a game like that? LOL
That thing went from not looking good, to complete and total control in a few heartbeats...
They miss a field goal at the end of the half, they back come out, Bosa gets hurt, TCU goes up 8, and then it was like this quick blur of ridiculousness.
Austin Mack had a real tough first half, and then followed it up with a couple pretty big catches in the second half. JK Dobbins is so much fun to watch. Weber is rock solid.
But man I can't say it enough, I am so impressed with Dwayne Haskins. He's the best looking QB to come through that school. Sees the whole field, doesn't get shaken. Won't force too much. He just seems like a 5th year senior who has had years of experience. Would have been real easy, and probably excusable to get rattled in that game when things weren't going their way in that game. Guys dropping passes. TCU making huge unbelievable plays. But he just stuck with it, and didn't try to win the game on one throw.
He has to be an absolute coach's dream. I just haven't seen any throws, even ones that ended up being harmless, where you wince and think that was just not a very smart throw.
Dre'Mont Jones did an unbelievable job stepping up when Bosa went down. You could tell the overall pressure from the DL was not as good when NB was out, but it was still effective.
I am not too worried about OSU's defense at this point. The OSU haters, which there are many, will tell you that it's awful, and blah blah blah, but we've seen this before. This unit will look much different in November.
It is funny to see how many people in the first half, and even the second half were out there tweeting about OSU, but once that game got flipped, they seemed to be unavailable for comment? Man OSU haters, if they all have one thing in common, they simply cannot tip their cap when OSU gets the job done.
As for TCU, they are a hell of a team. Their WR's made plays all game. Fun to watch. Would be nice for OSU's own benefit if they went on to have a great season. It's clearly coming down to them and OU for the Big 12. That'll be a hell of a game.

I'm hearing he has a groin pull and may miss multiple games but the plan is to take it week by week.

BTW ESPNghazi is so outlandish for teasing a long interview and only releasing part 1. When are the other pieces going to be released? Why have I never seen Sherrod Brown, DeWine, Kasich ever spoken to by a reporter in that manner? How long are they going to cover this story? Why didn't they cover it in 2009 when they partnered with University of Florida and the rest of the SEC when they gave them their own TV network?

I hope you meant POS instead of POC I don't watch them, especially since their main goal is to create fighting on most of their shows. Now that they let Jemele Hill go, I really don't care for anyone besides Bomani. Some of them play entertaining characters, but I just don't prefer to be entertained by Kellerman getting into a yelling match with Stephen A. Smith. Kellerman by himself is cool and Stephen A. is extremely enteraining, but again, I'd rather not hear screaming about the most minuscule of topics at noon.

They left so many plays on the field, this should have been a 30 point win. Refs acted like this was a TCU home game.

If i were a buckeye fan ... my biggest concern would be why it took the O so long to get going if they ever did ..
TCU has a great O ... there D STINKS ... at least they have in the past .. maybe this year will be different but i’m Not sure why it would be ...
They play in a track meet conference that plays very little to no d ...
I’d be cons=corned as to why the O struggled ..
But then again i dont really know diddly about you guys so i may just be talking out my butt .. *L* ...

Rinaldi's final part? Does a good job at the interview. Urban responds extremely well, as well.

They seemed hell-bent on persecuting Urban. Those questions certainly had passed judgment already, and he wanted the interrogator's answer regardless. This interview stunk it up. How much anti-Buckeye bias is allowed? Is it a formal policy to be this inadequate and adversarial?

Having 3 or so drops in the first half was drive killing. Those passes were on the money. A catch in those situations keeps the chains moving or the down and distances in our favor. The O was executing well enough to have a much bigger lead at half time than they did.

Not sure where you get that TCU's defense usually stinks...they usually have a very good defense. Gary Patterson is one of the best defensive coaches in the nation. Main reason they've done so well since joining the Big 12.
They might get into high scoring games, but that is just the nature of the Big 12 and the offenses they run...lots of passing and no huddle leads to high scores, even if you defense is good.

Patterson is a great defensive mind. Completely revolutionized how teams play the spread in both college and the NFL. However, he still coaches at TCU and doesn't get the bevy of talent that prestige schools do. So he can bring as many exotic blitzes as he wants, but his players just can't compete with those premier schools over 4 quarters.

But then again i dont really know diddly about you guys so i may just be talking out my butt .. *L* ... I wouldn't call it a concern. There was quite a few drops in the first half. Also some questionable play calling. Again, just the reason why they did struggle to pile on points. Overall, Haskins threw for 344, and Dobbins ran for 121. While there was some questionable play calling early in that game, the offensive playcalling in the second half was an absolute gem of a game. They stuck with Dobbins, and everything else fell into place. I'm not even all that mad about the points they gave up, TCU's receivers made some unbelievable plays. It was a great game. Without those drops, Dwayne Haskins was probably looking at a 30/38 night with nearly 400 yards. Ridiculous. I feel bad for Mike Weber as he's a really good back, but Dobbins is just too damn good to not make your primary ball carrier. I love the way that the schedule sets up for Ohio State. Tough game at a neutral site against TCU. Tune up game against Tulane, who isn't good enough to be any kind of trap for OSU. Which all leads into their trip to Happy Valley, and should make for one hell of a showdown.

Yeah bro, Patterson is a very good defensive coach. TCU has had the best D in the Big 12 for awhile. LOL...I know that ain't saying much. But, the dude does know the defensive side of the ball and he has some really good schemes.
We just had more talent than they did. I like Gary Patterson. I never liked the swine Art Broyles.

Haskins is going to be one hell of a pro prospect. Sees the field well. Good strong arm. I think we'll find out about his leadership skills as this season progresses.
I think coming in for Barrett in the Michigan game says a lot about him as well. Tough spot in an end of the year rivalry game.
I think the only real downside is that he's not really that athletic. He's not going to run too much with the ball.
I believe he can declare this year, I don't really know if he will. I'd imagine if things go well for the Buckeyes this year, he could.
Obviously a long way to go, Ohio State doesn't see too many great passing QB's come through there. He's definitely go potential to be a hell of a passer.

Too early to tell. Here is what I have seen thus far:
Positives:
--Quick release
--Nice throwing motion
--Accurate
--Plus arm
Negatives:
--One pick came when pressured.
To Be Determined:
--Accuracy under pressure.
--Responding to negative plays.
--Consistency.
--Toughness if he is getting drilled a lot.
Summary:
He is worth watching.

NICK BOSA UNDERGOES SURGERY FOR CORE MUSCLE INJURY, TIMETABLE FOR RETURN UNCERTAIN By Dan Hope on September 20, 2018 at 12:22 pm https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-stat...eturn-uncertainOhio State defensive end Nick Bosa underwent surgery this week for a core muscle injury he suffered in last Saturday's 40-28 win over TCU, Urban Meyer said Thursday on his radio show on 97.1 The Fan. Meyer did not provide a projected timetable for his recovery, though Bosa already has been ruled out for this week's game against Tulane. "I just talked to his father maybe 20 minutes ago, and we hope to get him back as soon as possible," Meyer said. "We're not sure when that will be. A lot of it's obviously the recovery, and obviously one of the best players in football, but even a better person, and a better family." With Thursday's news, Ohio State faces the possibility of playing one of its biggest games of the year – at Penn State next Saturday (Sept. 29) – without one of its best players. The Buckeyes are also set to play Indiana and Minnesota at home and Purdue on the road in the first three weeks of October before their bye week. Jonathon Cooper and Chase Young will be the Buckeyes' starting defensive ends with Bosa sidelined. Jashon Cornell, Tyreke Smith and Tyler Friday are among the other defensive ends who could see increased playing time in the rotation as a result of Bosa's injury.

Best pass rusher easily in Big Ten, maybe all of college football from what I hear from the "college savy" folks being missed right there. Hope for a speedy, I mean greasy fast speed, in your recovery Nick. We need ya.

Bosa is expected to be out 4 to 6 weeks due to the surgery. That's tough. I mean the defensive line is deep and everything, but man that sucks. They'll still be favored in every game they'll play, including the Penn State game. I think they could really play it safe and hold him out until after their bye week.

I love our next man up mentality. Our edge rushers have always been the most deep position group as well. Save Bosa and have one of our other dogs ball out.
