Antonio Brown - WR - Steelers

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Antonio Brown did not report for meetings and film review on Monday.

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Sep 18 - 11:33 AM

Sunday he had more than one heated exchange on the sidelines with the coaches ...

Followed that up with his “lets find out and trade me” yesterday in response to someone saying Ben is the only reason he is who is ....

And i believe he just got paid .. anyone know?

Reminds me of back in the day before hold outs were a common thing ...

Boggs held out and made the dumb ass statement he couldn’t support his family on what he was making ...

The shy folks of Boston took up a can collection for him and the next day he had bags and bags of cans on his front yard ... *LOL* ..

It may have been pre-deposits and it was newspapers they littered his front yard with ... back in the day paper drives were huge fund raisers ... can’t remember ... all i can remember is I thought it was funny as hell ...

Man did he get roasted everywhere for that comment ...

There's gotta be more behind the scenes than we know

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Tomlin says he is meeting with Brown today.

Wow, Bell and now Brown? Their two top offensive playmakers?

I love this. No one post anymore links/content until I can make some popcorn to eat while I read them. This is entertainment.

Ben is making JuJu a star and the old star is pissed. I think it is funny. Everybody clamors about what a great organization the Steelers are, but they have problems with players and substance abuse, players arguing with coaches, and a coach that lets it go on. IMO, their reign as the "model" organization is coming to an end.

Even the fans are crying. I live with nothing but Steeler fans all around me. They are 0-1-1, and the fans are ready to jump ship. It's hilarious. If they don't make the playoffs this year, or even get beat by the Browns next time, watch how the fans mutiny on them. Their time has come and gone. The fans are spoiled and will never be able to handle a mediocre team.

Ben has made many WRs look fantastic, and many RBs thrive in Pittsburgh because of the threat of Ben going down field. When they lose him, they are cooked.

clearly AB is all about himself.

What's the talk been about? Bell and his value to the team.
Which players have been most productive thus far? Juju and Conner.

AB can't stand it.

o Brown - WR - Steelers

Antonio Brown's agent insists his client does not want a trade and says his Monday absence was related to a "personal matter."

"I talked to the team about it," rep Drew Rosenhaus said. "His issue was unrelated to the tweet or his relationship with the team." We actually take Rosenhaus at face value that Brown does not want to be traded. His tweet was clearly just a frustrated player blowing off steam to a Twitter troll. As for Brown's Monday absence, the team has yet to say it was excused. We are not expecting any long-term consequences, but the sides' relationship is certainly looking a bit frosty right now.

AB is about.....AB.

He has been a cancer every since he walked into their locker room. It is a common joke among local business and reporters - if you want AB at a function he is contractually obligated to be at, tell him to show up 4 hours early, so he is only an hour late.

MULTIPLE times he will have visits to Children's Hospitals or charitable functions and he will show up HOURS LATE, all the while posting on instagram him getting a haircut when he was supposed to be there.

He has the Antonio Brown show on a local station (or used too) and the reporter on the show with him would have to make excuses on air when he wouldn't show up.

AB would rather get 10 catches for 140 and LOSE than get 8 catches for 90 and WIN.

I haven't heard yet, I know his agent came out and said he had a "personal issue" to attend to and that's why he missed meetings.

But I will say, as big a piece of crap he is - when it comes to practice - the dude is a workout machine. so I would be surprised if he missed an actual practice. he is methodical in the way he trains. The dude does toe exercises and wears those foam pedicure things between your toes when he plays - says it gives your feet better grip and makes toe taps and drags easier.

But there is definitely smoke here. . . . I think he is going to eventually rip the locker room apart. He has fans and players that back him 10000% no matter what due to his production. Then others who want him cut for his antics.

the typical WR diva.

but yea, people are gonna put up with it because he produces. you're exactly right. and unless it's injury, you can count on him to be on the field.

same thing with OBJ. i mean just watching him and JuJu.....it really looks like those two are keeping Big Ben from falling off the cliff, performance wise. he hasn't looked good for 2 straight games. i wonder if its the elbow, his age, or a combination of.

Keep an eye on Mark Madden, he is a local radio celebrity (used to work for WCW wrestling as an announcer interesting enough). He is very crude and brash, but he is the only one in the city that doesn't swing from the Steelers pocket if you know what I mean. He tells it like it is with them. Most Stooler fans HATE him because of this, well...because most Stooler fans are so blinded they refuse to see anything bad about the team. He has a few good blogs on his radio stations site.

IDK about that, he was 39-60 for 452 yards 3 passing and a rush td last week against KC with a 104 rating. Given their D is garbage, he can still sling it.

But I agree about OBJ and AB - but I would even go as far and say hes worse than OBJ. As far as I know OBJ does a good deal of charity work and doesn't show up 4 hours late for it. AB is notorious for that stuff. Dude even got busted with an Instagram model while his GF was 8 months pregnant. How did he get busted, he was Intagramming her on instagram! lol

haha, I was waiting for that question......

hard to say. I would have to lean with .....absolutey not.

Lets look at this. They have the best WR in the game, arguably have had the Best RB in the game, and have a HOF QB coming out of his prime, but well within in the last 5-6 years, right?

It is absolutely a disgrace (and it pains me to say this) that they haven't won a SB in the last 6 years, if not two. They really are that gifted of an offense of the past years. The fact they have not, I truly feel has been because of attitudes, the locker room, and Tomlin not caring about a thing his players do (I have stories about Tomlin too - lets just say he promotes this type of locker room).

When the older guard of guys like Casey Hampton, Smith, Troy, etc started to retire right after tomlin took over, it started going south. They are good enough to mask their issues week to week against average teams, when they get in the playoffs against upper tier teams, their issues shine and it tears them apart on the field.

j/c...adversity brings out the character of the team. They are on their heals and its just game 3 but their playoff hopes are swinging in the wind. And they are facing a tough Tampa Bay team hitting on all cylinders....I love it.

Of course Steelers will benefit from having a terrible season a possibly the overall #1 pick at the right time to replace Big Ben with a draft QB that can sit a season and learn. So their timing is right. But I will enjoy the implosion as it comes about. Steeler fans are obnoxious and I'm talking about here in NY, there are many of them and I have had to endure a lot from them!

One thing for certain, Steelers will not trade with us for AB. It becomes a mess a 2nd rounder might do the trick. Hope he goes to GB I would love to see that. wink

This is the opposite side of the phrase "winning cures all".

They've had turmoil, but they can hide it/people don't care because they win and are successful with that offense. Remember the reports when Harrison left town for the Patriots? Dude was a cancer, apparently for the whole season up until he was released... but we never heard a peep until he was out of the locker room and started running his mouth. Also, the story died as quickly as it came up.

Winning cures all.
