I think they should trade him so we can find out. It's like how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop. The world needs to know.

It is not hard to imagine a Steelers team with no Roethlisberger, Brown, and Bell.

Don't worry. It'll take 2 drafts for the Steelers to replace them knowing our luck.

either that team will thrive on the drama or implode

They do seem to draft very well....

o Brown - WR - Steelers

Antonio Brown's agent insists his client does not want a trade and says his Monday absence was related to a "personal matter."

"I talked to the team about it," rep Drew Rosenhaus said. "His issue was unrelated to the tweet or his relationship with the team." We actually take Rosenhaus at face value that Brown does not want to be traded. His tweet was clearly just a frustrated player blowing off steam to a Twitter troll. As for Brown's Monday absence, the team has yet to say it was excused. We are not expecting any long-term consequences, but the sides' relationship is certainly looking a bit frosty right now.

Sounds like Rosenhaus is reeling his client in and is going to be telling him to get over himself.

I had a thread about him, that was removed for some reason.

He tweeted the other day - "trade me then and well see" or something like that, when someone suggested he was a benefit of Ben and wouldn't have the numbers he has without him.

The local radio station this morning had a lip reader watch them on the sidelines last sunday - they said Ben called him a "big baby" and then AB was yelling at the OC to trade him then.

I love the bad news out of Pittsburgh.

Well, if it is Adam Schefter . . . . AND Twitter. . . . That is like HolySpeak.

Does he get a pass on this? AB making headlines.

They should rust themselves.

Isn't it ironic, that the Steelers offense falls apart after the much maligned and disliked Todd Haley got kicked out?

Everybody in Pittsburgh whined (off the record of course) how abrasive Todd Haley was. Ben couldn't stand him. Tomlin didn't like him. Just a bunch of whining haters. So they scapegoated Haley and blew him out of town.

Problem is, none of their problems went away with the sacrifice of the scapegoat. Too many divas and self-entitled brats running around. And now that they don't have Haley to kick around and blame, they turn their bile on each other.

Isn't it lovely to watch? smile

If Roethlisberger was any kind of a real team leader, he would gather everybody around and remind them of the pre-eminent importance of Team First. But the only kind of leadership Pig Pen knows about is how to lead drunken college girls into a toilet stall.

Wow. This keeps getting better and better.

Antonio Brown's issues with Steelers coaching staff began in camp and have festered - CBSSports.com
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/anton...-have-festered/

Steelers Pro Bowl receiver Antonio Brown lashed out at the coaching staff on the sidelines in Sunday's defeat and failed to show up for meetings on Monday, extending a turbulent period with the team that dates back months, according to team and league sources.

Brown became irked with head coach Mike Tomlin back in training camp when he was no longer able to have an individual trainer and personal social media manager on the field, sources said, and the trainer was eventually booted from campus at Saint Vincent College after clashing with the team's strength staff. In the early days of camp, Brown had seemingly constant access to those individuals – men who team officials knew little about and who had no formal ties to the organization – including directly during practice sessions.

Brown was displeased when informed they could no longer have the sort of access they had become accustomed to. Shortly thereafter he returned to Pittsburgh for an "evaluation" for an "undisclosed injury," but some in the organization – at the time and to this day – believe Brown's absence for a few days may have had more to do with his emotions over his associates being kicked off the field than any minor quad injury that kept him from practice for a few days.

"Maybe it's a coincidence, but the timing of that seems a lot like what just happened on Monday," one source said.

Brown was also among a very small group of Steelers who spoke out in at least relative support of star running back Le'Veon Bell's decision to stay away for the regular season and not sign his franchise tag – at a time when several offensive linemen ripped the running back publicly – and there has been tension between him and the team brewing throughout the summer. Furthermore, offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner is calling plays for the first time – he has a very close relationship with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers have been the most pass-heavy team in the NFL – and the lack of balance and consistency in the offense has not gone unnoticed by Brown and others.

Ultimately, the coaches and front office believe Brown wants nothing more than to win, I'm told, and are confident that much of this tension will dissipate if/when the team gets back to its winning ways. Should it fester, however, there certainly could be more fireworks to come from Brown and others in what has been a fairly turbulent locker room in recent years.

Brown sure sounds like an unreal diva.

Once they lose Ben, with all the drama he's probably already mind set on this year being it - that team will be in shambles.

Looks to be the beginning of the end for the Steelers and quite frankly its not easy to pick up the pieces.
But you never know they might luck into a good QB prospect next year. But good to see Steeler and quite frankly the Ravens look really old, playing down to everyone's expectations.

I know both are not big but both play Big, I would love to see Landry and Antonio Brown play together...better than Gordon for sure!

I think a poor season this year puts Tomlin on the hot seat, mainly because he has let the team divas like Bell and Brown get out of control and start disrupting the team. Ben is trying to hold everything together but he can't because they have been given free reign to run wild and now it's biting them. Hell, Tomlin allowed James Harrison to sleep in team meetings all season last year. Bell and Brown have been notorious for being late/missing meetings. No punishments.

As a Steeler fan I love Brown. He's the hardest worker on the team in practice and in games. But he's also entitled and if he doesn't get as many touches as he feels he should, he sulks and becomes a distraction. As far as Bell goes, I can't wait until he's somebody else's problem.

But I think Tomlin wanting to be "one of the guys" for so long has caught up to him. He's not going to suddenly switch to the disciplinarian. If the losing continues this season they may bring in someone else to try and get control of the diva factor in the locker room.

Would you turn Bell loose? How long can his nonsense go on? He is piling up fines now, at least i would think so.

Are they needing him to be inactive each week or carry him or what?

What is his status in NFL-ese?

He is unsigned, under the franchise tag. He does not count towards their roster.

Le'Veon Bell - RB - Steelers

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Steelers are now listening to trade offers for holdout RB Le'Veon Bell.

They're satisfied with what James Conner has given the offense through two games and are looking to move on from the Bell situation, which has caused major off-field distractions. Bell has shown no intention of wanting to play anytime soon, seemingly more concerned with his musical career than football during the prolonged holdout. Any team interested in trading for Le'Veon would almost certainly want to work out a long-term deal before the move is made, and that creates several different obstacles to work around, including Bell's suspension and injury histories in addition to what's left of his commitment to playing football.

Which teams would be desperate to win right now ... and have the cap money?

IMO, after this stunt, I doubt he ever gets the contract he wants. With Conner's play, it could lead to the speculation that some of his success was due to the Steeler's scheme. Over the years there has been many RBs who leave Pittsburgh and never reach the status they had there.

Before today I would have said maybe San Francisco. I wouldn't say they are desperate to win now either...

I'd like to see what he could do with the Lions.

How interesting, Versatile.

You call out the Hue Haters for highjacking non-Hue threads to spread their off-topic Hue Hate.

And yet here you are highjacking a Steelers dysfunction thread to spread your Hue Love.

Huh.

I didn't hijack it. I mentioned it earlier. People ignored it.

However, it's true. Keeping a team together when things aren't going well is extremely hard.

And considering this is a Brown's message board and not a Steeler's message board, I don't see why a comparison of how the two coaches are handling the situation is unwarranted.

Oh wait...........actually I can see why it is. Some of you guys won't admit that Hue is doing a great job. You ignore comments from guys like Joe Thomas. You ignore how great Hue was in Hard Knocks. You ignore how he handled the qb situation this year. You ignore how he never once lost this team. You ignore how well he has this team playing.

You think Tomlin could have pulled that off?

Now, all you "Brown's fans" start your crap about how terrible a member of the Browns is.
