Granted .. losing Kendricks and only having Josh for one game takes some of it away ... but ... THERES STILL PLENTY!!!
Were 0 - 1 -1 and we’ve played two teams that most thought would destroy us .. STUPID FIELD GOAL KICKERS!!!!!!
MANNNNNNnnnnnnn ... OK ... the themes Optimism not frustration ...
Not only do we have the talent ... Dorsey is by far the best GM we’ve had ... and i don’t necessarily mean in evaluating and aquiring talent .. thats to be seen ... talk to me in 3 or 4 years about that ...
He knows how the game works and he knows what his job is ... I agree 100% with Vers that he works well with Hue and the other coaches and gets them the type of players THEY WANT ... were FUNCTIONAL now at the bare minimum ...
Our coaching staff is damm good ... other than possibly the ST’s dude ... STUPID KICKER ..
Haley and Williams are respected coordinators and we also have some fine assistants below them ... Zampase as our QB coach .. are u kidding me .. tak about being over qualified for a job ...
Were gonna learn about Hue this year ... i’d Rather this didnt turn into a Hue thread so I’ll eave it at that ... thanks for not ruining the other thread ... appreciate it .. its nice to have one place to go to escape all that negative stuff ... at least i thought so ..
I actually want to go to a GAME .. that hasn’t happenend in 15 years ...
Tabber ... i apologize for taking over your Isle ... please accept my apologies ... hopefully its not just U and I after this week ..
REGARDLESS of what happens tomorrow night or for the rest of the season ... i’m NOT GOING ANYWHERE ...
I have read posters decrying Dorsey's draft because Corbett isn't starting. What I foresee is, in 2 years, Mayfield (1-1) established as our starting QB, Ward (1-4) recognized as a shutdown CB, Corbett (2-1) starting C, Chubb (2-2) our #1 RB, Callaway (4) the WR other teams plan around, Avery (5) starting OLB, and Harrison (UDFA) starting LT.
That's 7 starters from 1 draft class, and not just place holders, but righteous NFL starters. In 2 years, the fact that Corbett isn't starting in year 1 will matter not at all. This will be the best draft class in the history of the Browns.
That's optimism.

Diam, if anything you are consistent with this. I commend you.
Checking back with you after the game tomorrow
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
I agree about Landry and Randall ... we don't have them and our team looks extremely different!
I hope I'm eating crow and joining your beach

I'm worried about tonight. It's a game we should win... and we have historically underperformed in these types of games. Combined with guys out or dinged up... I don't like it.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
Kendricks will be missed...Gordon, amazing TALENT but we will not miss him. He already was setting himself up as a ELITIST WITH PRIVILEGE. Just like HS and college we all know what will follow.
But Dorsey is an excellent GM you can see him in Hard Knocks with regards to Gordon he was not as excited as Hue was in his return. This had Dorsey written all over it. The guy was not coming on time to meetings and was doing me me stuff but couldn't attend camp. Done but as far as the team goes.
Our WR room is so much better than a year ago. where Cory Coleman and Ricardo Louis were our main guys.
Now its Landry, Calloway, Higgins the last and only remaining WR draft pick from the 2016 draft. I still say Duke is going to become a GREAT WR for us.
OL is shaping up from when you started this thread. Harrison is looking like the real deal...and that does not mean he will have us forgetting Joe Thomas real deal. That is him being a functional LT and one that will get better and better, all must remember the kid is a ROOKIE.
Dorsey, talent. He seems to have the knack on taking the risk on certain TALENT that get overlooked because of red flags. He did it with the Chiefs and now with us.
Calloway and Harrison a 1st and 2nd round talent that we got with a 4th round pick and then signed Harrison as a UDFA.
Low risk all high reward.
He does work well with Hue and in the end he protects Hue from himself at times. Like Gordon, Hue was in love with him almost to a fault. He was taking advantage of Hue's good nature and Dorsey didn't like it at all. Nipped it as soon as he could show Hue the true light regarding Gordon. After all that Hue did for Gordon, So Dorsey seems like the big brother of Hue and is protecting him. I like that.
His pick ups and use of the Cap has been good, Landry and Kendricks were two good pickups. Then he made excellent moves like Randell at FS a position we were hurting with...and the kid is so much better than my expectations.
Continuity is now so so important...why we HAVE TO START WINNING. We have talent and actually great Coordinators in place where in Everyone playing for us will have the system running like a machine in no time.
Its a winning combination and once we start WINNING it will have a Momentum like a Boulder rolling down a Steep Mountain side!!!!
You taught me about TALENT being the most important element of an NFL TEAM...Coaching and System is meaningless without the talent.
We have taken position groups and went from weak to strength in a short time. DBs amazing job of getting us talent there. WRs, again amazing transformation. Why its a shame with Kendricks cause that was such a good addition football wise.
But we will not stop here, why this year is so important for us to start winning, get the monkey off our back and keep CONTINUITY here for the PROGRESS at our footsteps. All will be better within the SYSTEM and more attention to details will be at hand.
Optimism, why is it different? Cause it is HERE the talent, we have a plan. All we are is winning a game or two in a row away from breaking this open and securing our path to a Dynasty!
Some are overly concerned if Hue is the guy? They don't get it. Hue has now place his Coordinators that are THE GUYS!!! Continuity is only good if the Plan is good. Players believe in the system and once we have our Franchise QB in place whether its this year or next. The results will be amazing.
Love my Browns and now my years of Optimism and yeah I know I grasped for straws to keep all with a glimmer of hope...do you all think I didn't know our short comings. But one thing I did was I never LIED to you all. The positives that I presented were POSSIBILITIES. I wasn't drinking the juice, I was trying to prevent you all from drinking the juice. I didn't care if I was found Right or Wrong. It sickened me to lose and still does. But I know we are on the edge of great things. For all I know Tonight will start it all for us!
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!
Diam... I think the ferry to the island is sinking in the harbor. The Tiki bar’s kitchen is on fire. The toilets at the resort are backing up and the septic tank is leaking into the pool.
I never took the ride over to the island. To those trapped there...thoughts and prayers.
