I'm not taking my jersey off.

I'm wearing it tomorrow too.

Because even bigger than winning, we have a legit Franchise QB.

Something we haven't had since Bernie.

I'm getting a bottle of champagne tomorrow.

YES I AM.

You don't do that to your veteran QB, the night he has a concussion.

Do you think that Tyrod doesn't know? He does. He's not blind. It's just not right for Hue to say it tonight.

Now if he goes back to Tyrod ..... then all bets are off. :rofl;

He's giving Tyrod respect because he's a veteran and its a very professional\polite thing to say.

Seems like some of you spoke a little early! lmao

It seems as though having a QB who can play the position and some impact players means you can win games. Who'da thunk it!!??

Can some of you quit pulling on Hue's jock strap for a little while now? lmao

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

J/C...

Now got a question to all. What if Hue insists on sticking with his commitment to play TT. Remember his commitment was so blatant that he did not give the kid (#2 QB) one rep with the Ones. I've always been confused by this cause it turned out ok as the kid is that good. But he didn't even know who Landry was and Landry had no clue on the velocity that Baker can throw the ball. I just never got it. Ok go with TT as the guy but you still have to prepare Mayfield outside of running the scout O against our D.

Now if for some insane reason Hue actually wants to continue the Commitment with TT. I love the guy but I would be asking for his head and you know Haslam who was with Dorsey on the sideline before the beginning of the 2nd half. No way but I got a bad feeling that Hue for some reason thinks that TT is the way to go...it like suicide for Hue if he does.

It worried me that going in at the half the sideline reporter asked him about Mayfield, instead of complimenting Mayfield, all Hue talked about was the electricity in the air.

Love Hue but I'm a Browns fan. If he does not now go ALL IN with Mayfield, he does not deserve the job. As long as we don't change our OC or DC it should not matter. I'm thinking how could Hue do that. Its just the fear I have on the Browns fighting success!

jmho, the best display of QB play since we have been back.

Coming from the guy who unsuccessfully insulted 6-8 posters and their "football knowledge" is whining about other people making it difficult to be a Browns fan. If I may steal a gif from you....

Question for you Vers - you know I am behind Hue, you know I wanted BM to sit. I have consistently said BM should not learn on the job, needs to ONLY start if he is the best option for the Browns.

With that said - the difference BM made to the whole O last night - my 'fire Hue' friends - and Michael Irvine said it immediately after the game .... how and why was TT starting? What sort of talent evaluation was being made to give TT the reins when it is so blatantly obvious BM is the better QB already?? That has to have been obvious in training?? That was Hue's decision.... Isn't it fair to raise that point and ask the question?

I don't expect players to play flawlessly. TT played well enough game 2 despite missing a few throws. I don't expect Hue to be perfect either. . . but I expect to be able to have a reasonable discussion about mistakes he makes. I think we might have a better record already if BM starts for one of these games we lost.

I'm not talking about firing a HC or insulting posters on their "football knowledge". I'll leave you and EO to do that.

Eo makes a good point.

Hue has coached two really good games back to back.

What are everyone's thoughts if he starts TT next week?

I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor's concussion keeps him out another week - legit or not!

I think this would be the best thing for the coaching staff really. Let bake start next week, and if he plays well again, its even easier to sit TT.

But I do want an answer that Michael Irving asked. How can you justify not playing Baker the first games or how can you not have seen the talent difference?

Hue has coached two great games - back to back.

Hue has waited 600+ days for a win, just like we have.

Hue hasn't cried, hasn't moaned... he's taken his lumps and stuck with the program.

Make or break, he said/she said, will he or won't he start Baker... I'll kick all that to the curb.

GREAT win coach. Congrats... it's been a long time coming. You're off the "schnide". Let's keep building.

Hue, this Bud's for you!

Dilly Dilly!

If he returns to TT and loses 13 straight he's toast. He ain't gonna do that though because I'll bet the directive has already been emailed saying, "Play that kid".

IMO it's as easy as the Myles Garrett selection first overall. It's just a simple, clear and etc decision to make. Baker time now. He should get all the first team reps.

Bro ... this isn’t even a legite question at this point ...

Hue has eyes .... Hue wants to keep his job ...

this is not even a question ... its a foregone conclusion ...

TT knew in the locker room before the half when he heard the crowd erupting with every completion ....

Hue handled this like a class act ... he did TT right ....

TT regressed with us ... its a shame ... hes a GREAT GUY and. CLASS ACT ... he was a below average - average QB before ... now he’s regressed ... 2 out 3 performances were HORRIBLE TT ...

The site I read all the time started there little blurb like thins.

Bake took TT’s spot just before the end of the first half. Bake appeared to be playing a different sport than TT last night.

The man was correct ...

GOOD LUCK BAKE ... ITS YOUR SHIP NOW DAWG!!!!

Yeah, but he'll have much more slack now.

He better send Baker a very nice Christmas card this year.

Good God
Everyone on the Browns staff could see the talent Mayfield has,it's never been about talent.
It's always been about nurturing, protecting and getting him ready.
I like to think of myself as a disgruntled Browns fan,but I can enjoy a victory without stiring the pot and trying to make a good job of QBing into a negative against the coaches.

Yep, some people might actually think that Baker benefitted by not having a ton of pressure and focus on him during TC w/Hard Knocks there and by getting to watch the start of the regular season from the sidelines.

I can't disagree, but I did think it goofy he didn't get any reps, but then I suppose that would have opened the door for the media to to make the call for Mayfield.

If BM doesn't start, then a lot of Hue's litany of bilge was a lie. We will start whoever gives us the best chance to win. Read that more than once, maybe a few times, maybe more than a few times. I saw no equivalence between TT and BM to speak of. BM if healthy gets the nod or should as he seems to have earned it. Injured? Crap shoot.

Advantage: Mayfield. I was for sitting him until bye if possible. Fresh out of possible. And I expected to see better from TT than I have seen.

Just win, baby!

Alright, perhaps I am misinformed...........but, while watching the pregame show, I saw that the Browns said Baker was starting next Sunday.

Did they later rescind that statement?

Didn't hear that. Last I heard, Hue said he would "watch the tape". Hadn't heard a Browns announcement since and I wasn't really expecting one.

I was hoping for the "We don't know if TT will be out of the concussion protocol and will make a decision once we know." statement followed by the "TT has cleared the protocol but we are unsure if we can get him ready for this week, we'll let you know." statement.

No reason to let the Raiders know which QB to prepare for.

I was asking more than telling. I was watching the pre-game shows while I worked out this morning. I think it was on the ESPN scroll that said that Mayfield was going to start on Sunday.

Later, they scrolled that TT passed the concussion protocol test.

I wonder if the the first report was false? Again, I am "asking?"
