Why do Ya all fail to understand the GOP started all this tit for tat years ago during the Bill Clinton years.

And Next time? rofl pffft.

It’s about time the dems are playing the GOP game and slinging it back and finally starting to expose the deplorables for who they truly are.

Our politics are plummeting into the 8th and 9th circles of Dante's Inferno ..... Fraud and Treachery. It's a shame, because what good person is going to want to serve? Who is going to want to be dragged into hell like this?

It is a sad time for our Republic. I am for protecting victim's rights, but this is so plainly political, and none of this woman's so called witnesses witnessed anything like she states. There is no evidence, anywhere. She isn't even sure when or where it supposedly happened. However, he's guilty. I fear a country where a man is guilty only based on an accusation.

As an aside, the local police department, who would have jurisdiction over the 1st accusation, has still not had the supposed victim, or her attorney, ask them to investigate.

For every "false accusation that ruined a man's life" you provide, I will provide 100 horrific and absolute cases everyone pretended didn't happen.

This is a game?

Where have we gone where it is OK to destroy a man's life because someone else may have gotten away with some crime? Is that really the kind of country you want to live in? Really?

Should the murder of a good police officer, on the job, be OK, because there are some bad cops out there? Should the murder of a good priest be considered OK because there are some bad priests out there? Should a man accused of rape be fired, thrown in prison, and forgotten, without a single bit of evidence because some men have sexually assaulted women? Wow, I don't want to live in that country.

I honestly cannot believe what I am reading from some people I have disagreed with politically, but had respect for. Accusation is conviction .. and some are just fine with that.

That's even sadder.

I didn't see YTown ask for proof in his post. I saw him ask for revenge.

A post from YTown about accused rapers, who aren't judges, but instead minorites. See if you can spot the difference in tone.

In my case, my best bet is that they would have fallen down laughing at the thought that I was somehow going to kick all their asses.

These kids wanted to feel strong and powerful. That's what rape is about. It's not about sex. It's about a person who feels powerless in some aspect of his life feeling powerful. It's not a sex thing, it's a "I showed her/them" thing.

We need to quit blaming the victim. The daughter was a victim, and so was the father. In many ways, he may even suffer more in the long run that she will. I feel horrible for both of them, and I hope those kids don't see the light of day for a very long time to come.

Obviously, one of the best things about the United States is that our courts assume that the defendant is innocent. However, just because our courts assume that, doesn't mean the private sphere needs to. If your boss as to disappear, and you were the prime suspect, you could safely safe that you wouldn't have your job any longer, despite you not being charged. Government loves to put the ball out of the hands of the public, which is also a good thing. This allows people to come to their own conclusion when crimes occur. My problem is with people who love to remind us that in the US you're innocent until proven guilty, is that very rarely they take their own advice. Instead they give innocence until proven guilty as a privilege for their protected class. Whether it be for the rich, powerful, older or white. Everyone else who falls outside of those protected classes are not offered the privilege of the benefit of the doubt.

That's why it's so heartbreaking to see YTown who has gone to bat for people he thinks are victims of rape and violent crimes, now say that we're all innocent until proven guilty. Just look at the YTown post I quoted. Never in a million years would you assume that the boys who were arrested were only suspects the way YTown talks about them. Actually, they're less than suspects... After a brief investigation, the NYPD found that the boys actually witnessed the Dad having sex with the daughter.

Who gets the privilege of innocent until proven guilty?

He would absolutely vote to overturn it. That's why he was picked.

The GOP is shrewd and effective with their court picks. It's calculated and with purpose. The purpose is pro-corporation, but they court the evangelical and religious vote by pretending they care about abortion. And they would cast the corresponding vote if given the chance.

And the notion that someone who would have or commission an abortion wouldn't work towards and vote for an abortion ban doesn't compute with reality.

I hope Kavanaugh is innocent and Ford made this crap all up. I also hope he gets appointed, and I hope he helps to overturn Roe V Wade

When 40+ women came forward to accuse Bill Cosby of a very specific type of rape, YTown thought that it was a plot concocted to "get" Cosby "because of his conservative views".

Deal.. if you want to revisit and address things that happened years ago? You all can revisit Row V Wade and we'll take mandatory FBI investigations of sexual misconduct, sexual abuse, and attempted rape allegations for all Supreme court nominee's including Kavanaugh.

Working on some hospital projects and got a call yesterday from my lighting rep and he starts-As we talked yesterday, we received another notice on price increases because of tariffs. Originally, increases on some products were to be about 6%. As of Oct. 1st, they are now adding another 10% and this could go as high as 25 % by January.

And they will not hold any price already given to me-everything has to be requoted

You might be right, but he had the goods on Cohen. I think he has them here, but we will have to wait and see. I'm not sure why you call him a joke other than using this to create his TV presence and considering a run.

Cohen was the simpleton fixer for a senile trust fund con man, who was one of his 3 clients.

Having "the goods on him" is hardly impressive.

C'mon- you already know the answer.
He's the only one on that Federalist Society's list of 21 who is on the record for saying a standing POTUS should not be prosecuted.

Don't overthink this, bro- it's Dolt45. He'll never be guilty of overthinking anything. McConnell even advised him to choose ANYONE ELSE on that list. Now, they are tasked with trying to ram this d00d through no matter how much stink clings to him.

Do these assholes ever think about what they are gonna say before they say it?

When their party elects a man like Trump while they claim to be the party of family values, the moral majority and the Christian right, why should they think they have to think about what they say anymore?

The forgotten man... apparently we forgot the pervs. We forgot to keep a closer eye on them. We get called baby killers for supporting a woman's choice. They get called good and honorable men for being accused of sexual assault. This is the credo of the forgotten man...?

First, alleged. And "accusations". From women that don't remember for sure. "anonymous" accusation, and "doesn't want to be known".

Second lady didn't remember much, until she spent 6 days I believe it was, talking to an attorney? How did the attorney convince her her muddled memory was right? What proof is there?

Feinstein sat on the letter for a couple of months, only using it when the dem's determined Kav would be appointed. I find that very odd.

The other lady apparently isn't even sure what she remembers, if anything.

Second: There is NO person that would/could be a nominee that would 'breeze through' anything.

Third, this reeks of "let's delay delay delay, until after mid term election when the dem's might gain control"

Okay, so let's investigate. The investigations should take a matter of days - why? Because it's a matter of 'he said/she said'.

I highly doubt there won't be another lady with accusations coming soon. Doesn't matter who the nominee, either.

And this Avennati guy? Other than a publicity seeking money hound - who is he, and what has he done, other than screw people over?

thats why you dont see me defending kavanaugh, just highlighting the dems sitting on this letter and the overall process.

reading all the reports and quotes from people who knew the guy......how in god's name did this dude make it past the vetting process?

i know why, but even if trump was looking for somebody to run interference, i think that one lady who was the early frontrunner would've pulled the same thing for Trump that he was expecting kavanaugh to.

i mean damn, i dont understand how anybody with kids, daughters for that matter, can look at this situation right now and go "yea, i trust this guy to make the right decision, especially with cases involving women".

maybe i'm a minority in that thinking, but thats how i feel.

the guy should've never been appointed to begin with based on why Trump wanted him to be SC judge.

the GOP rushed the process knowing exactly why.

the dems played games sitting on the letter.

but most of all? this guy is increasingly looking like a scumbag.

the party of family values strikes again.

If it's a matter of "he said/she said", why was Kavanaugh's handlers doing opposition research on Ford before she went public?

And why is every talking point Kavanaugh trotting out increasingly bizarre and creepy stuff like "I have a calendar from 1982, and there's no mention of me attending an underage party in it"?

Smoke and fire.

Also, for the record, "he said/she said" implies exactly that. Wen you have the woman's therapist saying "yes, I can confirm that in 2012 she told me Kavanaugh assaulted her, and I have notes to back it up", it's tough to write it off as "he said/she said".

You think you guys would have learned your lesson with Roy Moore.

no lie detector test, no FBI investigation, no witnesses called to testify, GOP leaders have come out as believing him, Trump attacks the women... Seems like the right is being completely reasonable and fair in jamming a potential rapist onto the SCOTUS.

It IS a matter of he said/she said.

Question for you: Why'd she send the letter, but wanted to remain anonymous? Oh, but then she came out. Kudos to her for that.

Why is she demanding an investigation over things even SHE can't remember?

Why is the accuser asking that Kav. testify first? That's not how investigations work here, in this country.

Why is she STILL not certain she will testify? (last I heard, anyway)

And then this:

1982 - Something may or may not have happened with another 2 (or 4) teenagers at a party, she cannot remember who threw the party, where the party was held, who she was with or how she got home. She was drinking and said nothing to anyone.

Sorry bud. The timing just seems, uh.........off. Political, to be honest.

Wonder how much money she's gotten.
