It was all considered partying and 'hooking up'(to borrow a more modern phrase) but by today's standards it was out and out rape culture.

I was a partier. In the bars at 15 getting served when drinking age was 18. Went to a lot of young adult parties. Biker parties (was not a biker), Drugie parties (was a stoner, there was always weed, acid, coke, speed, and ludes at these kind of parties), and high school parties... the high school parties were pretty safe compared to the other I went to. Partied on campus at OSU a few times to... those got a little crazy. I was a wild child.
I remember one time me and a bunch of friends went to a roller rink in Washington Courthouse because it was always full of girls... we partied on the way and all had a buzz going... met a girl that was pretty hot there... me and another guy (friend) were competing for her attention... at some point she got her hands of two ludes and ate them... she was trashed... the guys that gave them to her were stalking her... we took her out of there with one of her friends and drove her home... She was passed out cold when we got there... her friend had us help get her to the front porch... she rang the doorbell until she could see her parents coming then dashed... we were all in the car sitting in the car like wtf just happened? Kids did crazy crap back then, me included.

This is my biggest point of contention with all this. When I was being vetted for my TS/SCI for the military, they contacted and interviewed people all they way back to my kindergarten teacher and principal. I find it hard to believe they didn't ask about this point in time in his life and not be able to find atleast something

I went to a ton of wild parties in the 70's and 80's, drugs, everybody falling down drunk, not once did I ever see woman being drugged and gang raped. People would not have stood by and watched this happening, and not a single woman I know would have kept their mouth shut if they saw it happening and they sure as hell wouldn't keep going back to those parties time, and time again if they saw it happening.
Not sure if the GOP's hired prosecutor is going to make any points during this, but right now the Dems seem to be making the better case. Grassley just scoldingly called a break.

That's a good question, and I think that's what all the timeline stuff was about. She said she didn't report it early but dealt with the trauma throughout her life. Then only got involved in this when kavanaugh made the short list because she thought it was important that people knew. They're talking more about it all now.
