Republicans have stuck with the Process as it is intended. Your Hooks and Crooks are on the other side of the isle. Where does it say you have the right to ignore a SCOTUS nominee in the last year of a presidency? Here's a clue for you. It doesn't. It was a long established precedent set by the Head of the Senate in 1992. You just don't like it.

You know, it's odd how Christians feel it's such a wonderful thing for the GOP to stall even having hearings on an Obama nominee for almost a year, but look forward to swinging the SCOTUS by hook or by crook.
Christian values? I don't have a problem with stall tactics. The Republicans were in charge, so they set the agenda. They stalled, within the rules of the Senate. There is nothing un-Christ like about doing that. Now trying to turn a good man into a drunken, child molesting rapist? That's not at all Christ like. Not one bit. As far as Gorsuch, I actually thought that the Republicans were foolish, because if Clinton had won, which seemed likely, then she probably would have put forth a more liberal judge for the Court. Also, in this case, this isn't a stall, it is a well orchestrated hit on a man who has been seen as an outstanding jurist, father, and man throughout his entire life. His life has been turned upside down because he would be the swing vote on the Supreme Court, and the Democrats cannot allow him to get there. This is politics, and nothing less. As far as Coney-Barrett, maybe the pro-abortion Senators might not vote for her, but guys like Manchin in WV, would almost have to, or he'd face huge voter backlash. Can you imagine Trump going to WV and campaigning, saying that he put forth 2 very qualified nominees, and Manchin acted against both? There are some other Democrat Senators in areas Trump won by huge margins who will face similar pressures. If they manage to derail Cavanaugh, then they will be seen (and painted) as nothing but obstructionists if they try to do so to another qualified nominee. Yep, I can see this whole situation blowing up on the Democrats. It may be a case of "Be careful what you wish for, because you might get it".
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

So you think it's just fine that the GOP stalled Obama yet isn't that exactly what the Republicans are whining about now?
We did it and it's okay. Now that we want to claim it's being done against is, we're going to fake some false sense of moral outrage?
Come on Ytown, give me a break here.

Why would the FBI discuss an investigation with the LA Times or MSNBC? I was hoping they moved on from the practices of Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe and Jim Comey. Look at this dude who has no idea how the FBI works. Please enlighten me how the FBI works in these situations without the snarky remarks! 1991... “The last thing I will point out, the next person who refers to an FBI report as being worth anything, obviously doesn’t understand anything. FBI explicitly does not, in this or any other case, reach a conclusion, period. Period,” Biden said. “The reason why we cannot rely on the FBI report [is] you would not like it if we did because it is inconclusive. They say, ‘He said, she said, and they said. Period.” “So when people wave an FBI report before you, understand they do not, they do not reach conclusions,” Biden said.

One day maybe the GOP and Trump will stop crapping the bed and you guys won't have to lay in it. Until then you make excuses and play the blame game. This is a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land. One that will have a 30 year impact on our ENTIRE society, not just the republican side. So why shouldn't dems fight, especially when they are right and facts are on their side? I'm happy the FBI is investigating this; hopefully one of our deep state patriots will step up and stop Kavanaugh.

Another thing at work here is there are a lot of Democrats and Republicans who don't want this vote to take place at all.
They are scared to death to go on record, when they are from States that voted heavily for Trump, as opposing his SC pick.

Evidence, such as an eye witness to a sexual attack, or that Kavanaugh drinks a lot of beer? It appears you have no clue what circumstantial evidence means or the fact that guilt or innocence isn't the objective here. A SCOTUS appointee has to be above reproach. What if it's determined that he has lied during his senate testimony? You do realize that's a crime, right? Or since you helped elected a habitual liar as president doesn't that mean anything to you anymore?

No one is above reproach in today's society, including SCOTUS appointees. But to "convict" someone based on no credible evidence, I do not consider he said/she said as credible evidence, then our society might as well be blown up and we can start all over.

Convict? Where are you coming up with this nonsense? Let me ask you a question..... If you're interviewing for a job and the people in charge of doing the hiring think you have a questionable character or may not be a good candidate for the job, were you convicted of anything? I don't know how in the hell you guys can make up some of this BS. And BTW- You do understand the difference between someone telling a lie and someone being a habitual liar, right?

Kind of hyprocritical isnt it ? Youre for political moves when it benefits your side, but then get upset when you think the other side is making political moves

I hope this week DOES answer all the questions. It's only going to get worse between the tribes until Kavanaugh is either confirmed, replaced, or charged. If he's clean, the GOP has all the votes they need without a single Dem... And that's the way the vote should go because Kavanaugh obviously hates everything about Dems and liberals.
Personally I don't think he's fit to sit on the highest court in the land for the rest of his life; but I don't think Trump is fit to be president either. You don't think ANY conservative judge should be there anyways. Your obviously happy that Dems will lie, slander, and commit perjury just to stop one conservative judge appointment. I hope the next FBI investigation is on Dr. Ford for her acts of slander, libel, and defamation of character. She is a fraud. She has already earned over half a million dollars in profit for this act she has put on. Not bad considering she just lost all her property to foreclosure. I guess crime pays if your a liberal.

I know that due process is a foreign concept to the left but it is the law. Having someone testify in front of Congress during the confirmation hearings IS due process. This is not an attempt to get a guilty or not guilty conviction. This is a process of deciding if this guy is suitable to serve on the Supreme Court.

Complaining that Kavanaugh is not getting due process makes no sense. This is a job interview. The goal should be answering the question "is he fit for the supreme court." Nothing more. If a person applies for a job of mine and I find out information that concerns me about their character, what do you think happens ? Do you think every job interview requires a criminal investigation if you have character doubts on a candidate? No. Most of the time you trash the resume and move to the next. Better safe than sorry. I don't hire for lifetime appointments either. But the judiciary committee was evaluating that last week.

I know that due process is a foreign concept to the left but it is the law.
Due process isn't done until the FBI is done now. The trouble is, every left wing individual in the country has this guy convicted since the letter was leaked. Without proof.
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...

You would be correct. You just don't like it. At least you admit your close mindedness and bias. I will grant you that. Your right also in that I don't like people who shut down their brain for political bias. I just don't like it. Your right. It's one of many reasons I hate both parties.
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.

The FBI investigation is part of the 'due process' in this case. Just because he doesn't get an automatic rubber stamp confirmation for being a silver spoon frat boy turned GOP Federal Judge. There is nothing automatic about this process, that's why they do it. You have to look into these guys harder the higher their seat. SCOTUS should not have a hint of impropriety.

Have you ever read a Con talk about HRC on the forum? You'd swear she was a mob boss.

You said: I don't have a problem with stall tactics. The Republicans were in charge, so they set the agenda. They stalled, within the rules of the Senate.
but then you said :
he would be the swing vote on the Supreme Court, and the Democrats cannot allow him to get there. This is politics, and nothing less.
Kind of hyprocritical isnt it ? Youre for political moves when it benefits your side, but then get upset when you think the other side is making political moves I'm sorry if you can't see the difference between not bringing a nominee to the Senate, when you are in control of the Senate ...... and accusing a man of rape, being a drink, and even implying child abuse. To me, there's a huge difference. I am sorry if there isn't to you. The Democrats reaper the whirlwind by stuffing federal judges through on a simple majority when they had power. The Republicans took the next step with the Supreme Court. I have to wonder what will happen the next time a Democrat President puts forth a Supreme Court nomination. I have a feeling it's going to be just as ugly, because, why wouldn't it be ... especially if the Democrat tactics work against Cavanaugh. We are now in an era of personal destruction in the name of political expediency.
