How can America survive with scumbags like this in the Govt. You must have just started tuning in. I've been seeing scummy behavior for 40+ years now. All over CapHill. II also stayed awake in History class. Things were scummy before I was born, My Daddy was born, my Great-granddaddy was born. I didn't bother quoting your next sentence because it it excluded half of the political population. Red scum/blue scum: flip sides of the same mis-minted coin. And both have been around since the ink on the Declaration of Independence was still wet. Grow up, individual.

I love how you can come in here everyday and just say the most outlandish things about libs and dems with little to no backlash. Yet you call out a traitor in the white house, a sexual predator or two on the SCOTUS, a corrupt senate majority leader (the evil tortoise), or any other number of deplorable beings and you get ridiculed. Having a guy like Arch say he feels sorry for me over my politics is just priceless irony. Having a guy like Dawg Duty question how America will survive the left, priceless irony. Having 40 and Vambo put their '45' fanboy cheerleader acts on daily... well that's the humor I come back for Hey Arch, you ever hear about anybody trolling the opposition? You know people who say over the top things to get a reaction out of you? I bet you know people like that. And Duty, it's really sad that you hate liberals so much. Did a lib touch you as a child or something? Your hate is irrational at the very least... it's like being afraid of puppies. I know I act like I hate Trumpians, but I really don't. I don't agree with anything they stand for but hating them would be like being afraid of clowns... I love this country. I don't like the current trajectory of American politics. I think liberals (for the most part) have better ideas and policies. I like to fight for my side and counter the ridiculous things said by the right side wingnuts... There is nothing irrational, sad, sorry, fearful, scary, or even troubling about that. I also like to give people crap just to see how they react. I can almost count on who will and won't respond to things I post. Watching you guys on the right lose your crap and lash out or overreact about a post cracks me up. The fact that you take 100% of everything I post so literally and seriously makes my day. Getting a rise out of you guys is like shooting fish in a barrel. As for Kavanaugh, I like the things Collins said today even if I disagree with her vote. I didn't want him confirmed but it is what it is, elections have consequences and Trump got his man. None of this means I won't show up for the next fight or back the dems when I agree with them. However this one is over, so congrats to the right.

At least you admit to being a troll. I give you that. It's also why no one really takes you seriously anymore and just glances over to move on to something worth the time to read. I will say this though. You inspire me to read my Bible more often so thank you for that. Proverbs 29:9 If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet.
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.

One caveat here. It was a bunch of Republican senators that approved Kavanagh, not the voters.
I don't believe either side should be jumping to conclusions about the upcoming election. Well.............that IS kinda how the system works. Right? Kind of like the presidential election - which goes by the electoral college. A scotus goes by the senate. I mean, it's the system. Hate it? Change it. Oh you're right. I was just pointing out that it wasn't the American people who made this decision. And to your point? This is why the representation of 14,310 voters in N. Dakota is the same as 931,349 people in California. Murica! lmao

You are one of those people who helped elect Trump our president. What are you talking about? For decades the government has been scumbags mostly. Congress especially is a joke. I would take Trump over Obama any day of the week though and will vote for him again in 2020 easily.

The way that the democrats behaved during these past few weeks have made my urge that much strong to vote straight republican across the board. First time ever doing that.
Whether its the ding bat from Hawaii who tells men to just shut up or that child Booker who is an embarrassment to congress and proper proceedings.
Members of congress do act like children, sick of it.

Members of congress do act like children, sick of it. I know Brownie, me too. Its a shame how they tried to ruin a man for no reason. They never protested when Slick Willie was assaulting women. They even tried to get people to change their testimony and lie about what happened 37 years ago. I think a lot of these protesters are permenent protesters. They do what the sleasy Dems tell them to do. One week its Climate, then snail darters, then tree huggers, then Trump then BLM. Same faces different things to whine about.

Kavanaugh confirmed to Supreme Court after bitter fight, securing rightward shifthttps://www.foxnews.com/politics/kavanau...rightward-shiftThe Senate voted Saturday to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, marking the end to one of the most rancorous confirmation fights in modern times and securing a rightward shift on the nation’s highest court. The chamber voted 50-48 to confirm Kavanaugh, mostly along party lines, after a weeklong FBI probe helped settle concerns among most wavering senators about the sexual assault allegations that nearly derailed his nomination and led to a dramatic second hearing. Saturday’s roll call marked the tightest successful Supreme Court confirmation vote in over 100 years, closer than even that of Clarence Thomas who similarly faced sexual misconduct allegations. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va. was the sole Democrat to vote “yes.” Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, was a “no,” but voted “present” as a courtesy to Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., who was attending his daughter’s wedding in Montana. The result was all but secured Friday night when undecided Sens. Manchin and Susan Collins, R-Maine, announced they would vote to confirm Kavanaugh, along with Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., who threw a curveball into the process when he requested the supplemental background probe last week as a virtual condition for support. Collins, on the Senate floor Friday, dismissed claims that Kavanaugh would be an extremist judge, and said the sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh failed to meet the “more likely than not” standard. The explosive battle over his seating as the ninth justice extended Saturday into the vote itself, with protesters shouting from the gallery and packing the Capitol and Supreme Court grounds – vowing to inflict payback against Republicans in November, and indicating Kavanaugh will be a lightning rod for years to come. “A vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh today is a vote to end this brief, dark chapter in the Senate’s history and turn the page toward a brighter tomorrow,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said ahead of the vote, over which Vice President Pence presided. While largely emerging from his formal confirmation hearing unscathed, Kavanaugh faced a late burst of sexual assault allegations from multiple women from when he was in high school and college. At the hastily convened second hearing that also featured accuser Christine Blasey Ford, he furiously and at-times emotionally denied the claims and attacked Democrats and left-wing activists for their handling of the allegations. Ford, though, maintained she was “100 percent” sure he groped her and tried to force himself on her at a high school party. Democrats said the claims were credible and called for further investigation, or even for Kavanaugh to withdraw. Ford’s account represented just one battleground. After she first came forward, prodded into the public eye by press leaks, another woman, Deborah Ramirez, said Kavanaugh exposed himself to her when they were at Yale. Another still, Julie Swetnick, claimed he and his friend Mark Judge (also accused of being in the room during the Ford incident) were involved in or present at “gang” rapes. Kavanaugh and Judge adamantly denied it all. While Kavanaugh’s confirmation sometimes looked in doubt, particularly after the testimony of Ford, Republicans and the White House rallied to Kavanaugh’s side -- pointing to alleged inconsistencies and also a lack of corroborating evidence on the part of the accusers. They also slammed Democrats, accusing them of politicizing the accusations and trying to destroy Kavanaugh. “Boy y’all want power, God I hope you never get it, I hope the American people can see through this sham,” a visibly angry Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Democrats at last week’s hearing. Republicans conceded to the demand for a limited FBI investigation by Sen. Flake last Friday. Democrats had been demanding such an investigation into the assault claims, but criticized this one as not being thorough enough even before it had finished earlier this week. On the Senate floor Saturday, Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, said the investigation was not comprehensive, and was "a sham, a fig leaf for the Republicans to hide behind." Democrats expressed concern not only about the sexual assault allegations, but also his judicial record, arguing that he would overturn Roe v Wade and rule from the extreme right. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Friday that Kavanaugh’s views are “deeply at odds with the progress America has made in the last century of jurisprudence and at odds with what most Americans believe.” They also said they were troubled by his fiery attack on Democrats. “This behavior revealed a hostility and belligerence unbecoming of someone seeking to be elevated to the Supreme Court,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif, said Friday. Protesters and activists had been a ubiquitous presence on Capitol Hill in recent days. On Saturday approximately 1,000 protesters marched to the Capitol steps, chanting “November is coming.” But Republicans said that the fight had motivated the conservative base ahead of the November midterms. McConnell meanwhile, told The Washington Post that the Democratic and left-wing opposition was a "great political gift for us." “I want to thank the mob, because they’ve done the one thing we were having trouble doing, which was energizing our base,” he said.

Most Republicans were proud as could be at the time.

I am sure if the shoe were on the other foot and it was a Republican President on his way out the door, the Democrats would have passed his pick lickity split. Joe Biden, Leader of the Senate in 1992 had already stated that ain't gonna happen.

And while you are finding Republicans to be incredibly hypocritical, you might want to ask yourself why they only needed 50 votes instead of the usual 60 to confirm...
WELL
Because Leader of the Senate, Harry Reed and Senate Democrats pushed through a controversial rules change known as the "nuclear option" in 2013, changing Senate rules that will make it easier to approve President Obama's nominees.
His Republican counterpart said Democrats would regret the move.

Both sides can be hypocritical. IN this case though, at least the Republicans were straight u about what they were doing waiting for the election to decide it. Yes I realize it was not proper form but to me better than the stage show we just witnessed. At least it was honest .

wonder what women will think come mid terms This train of thought kills me. There was no proof of anything. Her witnesses said it didn't happen, not his. The media has convicted this guy and the lemmings on the left have fell in line. There is no record of this dude doing anything bad towards women, on the contrary, he has helped many women. The left was trying to used the metoo movement to stop him, it failed. It is a sad day when people will convict a guy with unproven accusations. Imagine if this would happen to you. This was never about Ford, it is about Trump and Roe v. Wade

you gotta ask the women marching and ticked off, seeing as they are rarely ever believed in the first place.
but again, i noticed the same people who are defending kavanaugh to the teeth were also the same ones defending cosby we he first got accused.
and we all know how that turned out.

were also the same ones defending cosby we he first got accused. Yeah, when he first got accused. Think about it, this guy had a decades long reputation of being a clean entertainer. I used to make myself listen to his routines when they came up on Pandora even though I was sick of them because I wanted to support such a 'stand up guy'. Then the girl he paid to be quiet spoke up, AND HE WANTED A REFUND! Can't tell ya how disappointed I was. Heartbroken actually.

its a damn shame how we continue to treat women in this country.
