It's hard to have serious conversations in here.

No matter a persons views on the appointment, harassing people isn't good. It's a bad look ...a stain on our country.

In the 9th grade that is called bullying...nobody thinks that is OK.

Walking up to people yelling and screaming, throwing stuff. That has to end. They need to be fined and detained, and not for just a few hours. 30 days in the workhouse might sway a few minds.

If you want to voice your opinion, you write a respectful letter or schedule an appointment and conduct yourself like an adult during the conversation.

There are a lot of things I don't like, but I would never just run up to some elected official and badger them because they didn't vote to my convictions.

Hillary Clinton, in a television interview Tuesday, rejected the idea that Democrats should be “civil” with Republicans in the age of Donald Trump, embracing a more confrontational and aggressive political approach.

“You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about,” Clinton said.

Speaking to CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee said, “That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and/or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”

But those differences and ideas are what made us strong, they are what lead us forward, to strive to improve, by listening to each other and finding common ground.

Honestly, I think the country has been this divided since Bill Clinton was elected, and ironically he moved center after the mid terms and worked across the aisle.

I was raised liberal by Roosevelt Democrats who had little nice to say about "rich people" & expected the government to take from them and give to "us". I voted for Mondale & Dukakis.I moved dramatically conservative in my early 30s.

I did not vote for President Obama but I did not throw a tantrum because my guy lost, & the media certainly did not spend so much time worrying about how "our side " felt. I was excited about 2 assumed aspects when he was elected. First, I was proud that our country could elect an African American and second was I thought it cool that 2 young kids would be in the white house. I really had high hopes that he would improve race relations in this country.

Conservatives and liberals both create conditions of gridlock by sending senators & congressman on the right and left and urge to pursue right or left policies and if they budge we don't like it.

It is a shame what has happened. The anger & animosity is really sad & it amazes me the # of times the word Nazi comes out of peoples mouths. I don't think people today realize what life under a true Nazi regime was like.

Plus, do we really change anyone's mind by swearing, name calling or screaming at the top of our lungs?

To be fair, as an antifa member, it's very common for us to mistake old people for literal Nazis.

This I can relate to as it is common for we the people to mistake you for Americans.
