Barkley is good, but I bet the Giants are going to regret that they did not draft a qb. This. During the draft season we had posters on here stating that us drafting Barkley would be instant playoffs. How is that working out for the Giants? Not saying he is bad, but when you need a QB and are in position to draft one, you draft one.

I think the Giants were in the same position we were in, in 2016. Either take BPA and guarantee a shot at a top 2 pick, or risk it on a QB.
Just think about how much cap room they'll have with a rookie QB.

It sure would stink to be a gnats fan ... man do they stink ....
Eli’s beyond washed up ... bright side is they’ll be in the race to get the #1 pick so maybe they can get there QB this time around and still have Barkley ... u have to wonder f that wasnt the plan all along ..
There AWFUL ... We gotta hope that was the plan. I hate seeing Eli look this bad.

I don't care how special Barkley is - and he looks like the best RB in the NFL to me based on a small sample size - if you don't have a QB you have nothing. Darnold was a legit prospect to take at 2. Rosen might have been depending on your take - plenty on here liked him enough to take him at 1 .... I wouldn't have touched Allen at 1 or 2 with a barge pole - but plenty of scouts and "experts" did. Shurmur sure doesn't help - but it really doesn't matter with Eli back there.

I wonder though: would they have taken Mayfield if he was there at 2? We know the Jets liked him at 3

Some of Saquon Barkley's runs were incredible. It's a pleasure to watch him play.

Well, IMHO , Moronic was not taking Saquan... Regarding the QB position, we have a large number of bad teams with good QB's, and SB MVP was Nick Foles, remember... This year there were a lot of options for the QB position, if the Giants wanted or want to replace ELi they can do it.

Yep - there have been a TON - an absolute TON of options at QB for the Browns over the last 19 seasons. Every year just an smorgasbord of choices. Funny thing is - none of them ever ended up playing for the Browns. Giants would be a better team with Darnold and an average RB - than Eli and Barkley. They better hope like hell they get a solution next year. Look at the Cowboys with a stud RB - a Stud OL and a more than serviceable QB (in their scheme). A good QB is more valuable than a top 5 or top 3 RB in 2018.

Well, it is pretty obvious that the Giants will drafting a QB this year... or signing one as a FA.
Eli is done....

So which one is hurting them more, Shurmy or Eli? Manning needs to quit IMO. The run hasn't done him enough good to win IMO. This situation will not improve.

Eli was done two or three years ago ... he’s been a shadow of his old self and getting worse every year since then ...
This was an organizational failure .... whoever bought into giving Eli one last run is responsible for this and i’m guessing thats a group of more than one ...
They’ll be fine ... they’ll get there QB in this draft ... it’ll work out in the end for them ...

Yeah the plan in my mind was for the Giants to go with Darnold then Jets take Rosen with us taking Barkley at #4 that combo would have been great...Mayfield and Barkley.
But I'm tickled pink at what we got Mayfield and Ward...great alternate plan

I think everyone knew Eli was done about 2 years ago ... but the FO didn't have a replacement or the stones to stick by their decision to move on from him
They will be drafting a QB at 1, 2, or 3 no doubt

We NEEDED Ward a heck of a lot more than we needed Bark ... I had questions about Bark coming out .. he’s answered them all with flying colors and is going to be a great back in this league ... seems like a GREAT KID too ... gonna be rooting for him ... But Ward plays a much more important position and isn’t too shabby himself ...

#Bills Josh Allen just asked Kelvin Benjamin if he wanted to work on routes pregame during warm ups. Kelvin’s answer: No
