Browns WR Rod Streater out for season; Derrick Willies undergoes surgery
https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/bro...dergoes-surgery

WR Derrick Willies had surgery this morning to repair his fractured collarbone. Surgery was performed by Dr. James Voos at University Hospital. Willies, who was placed on IR on Saturday, remains a candidate to be designated for return.

WR Rod Streater has been diagnosed with a neck fracture and will miss the remainder of the 2018 season. He is currently doing well and team doctors expect a full recovery. The injury does not require surgery at this time.

I think we mostly brought in Streeter to help w/the Special teams. He's pretty good covering kicks. Kinda like Heyward-Bey in Pittsburgh.

Sorry to hear that he suffered such a terrible injury.

We need an actual reliable receiver to fill Steater’s roster spot. It doesn’t have to be Dez Bryant, but someone who knows what they are doing on every play and can catch the ball reliably. Jeremy Marlin is out there, but I don’t think he’s ever sign with John Dorsey again.

I’ll take the heat...Bring back Coleman and put him on a short-leash. He already knows the playbook and ‘should’ be able to contribute immediately.

I'm quite sure that ship has not only sailed, but sunk.

If I had to bet, I'd say that Willies' season is done, too.
Granted, I know nothing about what was done, but to me "surgically repaired" means a plate was put in. From my own experiences, the absolute earliest I could see him returning to full contact is like 6 weeks.... I just don't see much point in bringing him back at that point unless they just want him to go into the offseason on a positive note.

Tough few weeks for our WRs ... boy

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Agree... with his poor attitude he'll be a hundred times worse if we bring him back...

Glad the injury wasn't worse for streater. I hope he heals well.

Why haven't we signed Dez Bryant or traded for Beckam yet? What is going on?

We haven't traded for Beckham because he's got a gigantic contract and possibly a lousy selfish attitude which could throw off the whole dynamic of the lockerroom, especially if he comes in mid-season.

As for Bryant. I think it might make sense to really look into him. Same thing with Mathis.

It really sucks because it's very difficult to develop chemistry and an understanding of the playbook mid-season. But here we are. Hopefully Higgins is back soon and can take some of hte pressure off Callaway and Landry

Thanks for all the prayers! Pretty scary injury but luckily I was able to walk away from it with just a fractured neck.

we definitely need to bring in some guys off the street. This group has been swimming in the deep end of the injury pool.

Not as bad as a displaced broken neck.
