So what we're trying to say is that we should've drafted Saquon and Ward? Damn. Can't we just be happy about how things turned out for once. Some people still gripe that we drafted Joe Thomas instead of one of the many all pros in that draft class. I honestly do not think that running back was a position of need going into the draft, but Chubb was just the best player available. So I do not think we would've chosen Barkley at 4, had he fallen.

Here's how easy it is to say that.

Look at the top 10 contracts for RB's and then look at the top 10 contracts for CB's.

The NFL values CB's much higher than they do RB's.

Follow the money.

Josh Norman salary 15 mil per year

Trumaine Johnson 14.5 mil per year

Xavier Rhodes 14 mil per year

Patrick Peterson 14 mil per year

Kyle Fuller 14 mil per year

Desmond Trufant 13.75 mil per year

A.J. Bouye 13.5 mil per year

Stephon Gilmore 13 mil per year

Janoris Jenkins 12.5 mil per year

Malcolm Butler 12.25 mil per year

Now how do the top 10 NFL Rb's stack up to those figures?

That's what I'm basing my opinion on. Facts.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

LOL....which Browns...

We have played one post-season game, they have been champions twice....

Don't worry about the Giants, they are a great organization, they will bounce back.

It won't be long before QB's start giving him more respect, but like I said before, I think that is when Ward will start baiting them more.

That said, he had a rough game this past weekend.

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Every week I watch play after play of teams targeting him and the ball ending up on the ground and keep wondering .... WILL THEY EVER LEARN ...

They watch the tape ... we can see it .... WHY CAN’T THEY ... i hope they keep doing it ... I really do ... at some point they’ll wise up ....

He covered Allen well, but there were some tackles that he didn't want anything to do with.

I can see Ward getting a pick or two off Winston ...

Bro, his targets are up because he has been covering the other team's best WR more often than not. Teams tend to throw to their best WR more often than others.

I agree .... with that said ... if u were an OC and u know Ward’s covering your best ..... whats your game plan gonna be? ...

I understand what your standing ... and i think most of the time saying a CB is really good and u should shy away from his is crap ... there’s only maybe 2 or 3 CB’s in the league that are truelt shut down conrners ....

So far throwing the ball to the man Ward is covering has been statistically proven to be a bad option .... and he’s had some of the toughest assignments in the league so far ....

He’s all ready played like a top cover in the league ... the respect will come when teams start throwing away from him .. i hope it never happens .... but thats really un realistic .... the longer it takes the better IMO ...

Seriously ... would u game plan to throw away from him or am i giving him to much respect? ... your opinion on that please ...

Bro, the dude has played 6 games. Of course, teams are going to challenge him w/their best WR early in his career. I'm not saying that harshly. I'm just sayin'....

As time goes on and if Ward continues playing as well as he has, the targets will decrease.

Btw------------it's just my opinion and I could be wrong. Maybe they think he stinks? I'm just speculating, bro.

They watch the film ... they know he don’t stink ... i asked that question cause i thought i may be giving him too much respect too soon ... especially considering the differing skill sets of the WR’s he’s faced so far ....

U are speculating .. but it MAKES SENSE and is LOGICAL ....

So i’m going with it ... thumbsup

Thanks bro. I appreciate that. I just wanted to make sure that I was offering an opinion and not stating a fact.

If Ward builds a rep that is so good, other teams will avoid him. Great cover corners shut down their part of the field, which helps everyone else on the defence.

I love ward's play this far, he's been going against good receivers, what a great pick that was. Btw, I made a thread in the draft forum last winter, asking about corners coming out of college.

I knew we needed a good corner.
