Most American indigenous tribes have tried to keep their members away from DNA testing and rightfully so

I hear they also stay away from Horse Faced folks.

As one with Native blood in me, my great great grandmother on my fathers side was a Blackhawk woman, I am the last in line to claim native heritage....1/16. I could, my cousin has been inducted in to the Tibe. After us, it doesn't count.

I don't know where everybody came from and how they got here. I do know my GG grandmother was a Blackhawk...a tribe early on in Illinois and Iowa, then moved north and west. My dads family settled in Bryan, Ohio.

Indian tribes often adopted others into the tribe. A mixed race indian, an adopted indian, a south american indian, a great plains indian... prior to the late 1800s or early 1900s would still have been considered an indian, pure indian.

Plantation owners often had black children. They were not considered white then or now because of their black blood. How many generations of caucasian breeding would it take to eliminate a black ancestor? I'll wait for the right to answer that one... waiting.

The Cherokee nations denounced her and her DNA test. There is no record of her family being a part of the Cherokee Nation, or any other recognized tribe.
