Don't know. Maybe he said he was fine?

When I saw it in real time, my concern was it was his knee. I figured some ligament.....acl, mcl, something.

Ankles are important also, I know.

I am sure of this. Watching Baker play, anything short of having his foot hanging to his leg by one ligament, he will say he can go back in.

No reason for him to know that. He'd already left. rofl

Seriously though, he was probably getting ready for his own presser, none of the players would've run to him squealing on players left early.

Not every critical or loosely-critical thing said about the Browns is a call for Hue's head...just saying.

This is how bad it's gotten. I made a joke w/a huge hyperbole and WSU comes out and says something about not every critical statement about Hue is calling for him to be fired. And people liked that post.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Didn't think you were joking and thought you were directing at my comment, but now I see the sarcasm. I guess the tension and the judgmental bickering has made us all a little testy. My apologies. We need more wins.

Was anyone proved wrong but you?

Clearly Hue's teams are very well capable of producing big turds on the field independent of the level of the talent and who is the GM...

Yes,Hue is, IMHO, a very bad coach.. his record speaks for himself, I don't hate him, nor did I ever did, Just don't like his character nor his ability has a coach.

One week doesn't make a season, but I don't think we played hard last week. Maybe they were just a tired football team, but they weren't playing hard.

I like that my post has gone ignored by the pro-Hue's.

Like I said, it doesn't seem like they are interested in having an honest discussion. Any criticism of Hue is met with the interpretation of hate and laughed off.

I commented about how it's important to see how we respond this game and I hope we come out firing and play hard. Another blowout loss for Hue could spell disaster. There's no reason we can't win this game, or any game. It's time for Hue to step up and be the HC I keep hearing people say he is...

Eight NFL coaches who could quickly land on the hot seat in 2018

3. Hue Jackson, Browns: Welp, notch a victory, and he can officially claim a turnaround. But in reality, expectations are far weightier for an organization that's gone 1-31 under Jackson. Playoffs-or-bust may be too high a bar, but a team with this much talent should at least remain relevant through Thanksgiving. The only analytics that matter now are in the win column.

Which NFL Head Coaches Should Be on the Hot Seat?

Hue Jackson, Cleveland Browns

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2801082-which-nfl-head-coaches-should-be-on-the-hot-seat#slide0

We already know about head coach Hue Jackson's 1-31 record between the 2016-17 terms. What's transpired over the last several weeks that may lead to his exit?

It's obvious the Cleveland Browns have a competitive roster. They've lost by three points in two of their three defeats and head into Week 7 with a 2-3-1 record. It's a small step up following a 0-16 season, but the franchise must aim higher.

In Week 6, the Los Angeles Chargers blew the Browns off their home field 38-14. Cleveland looked similar to the team of years past, turning over the ball twice, giving up points and struggling to generate offensive continuity.

Jackson has a pair of experienced coordinators on staff. Gregg Williams (defense) and Todd Haley (offense) have a combined 49 years in various NFL coaching roles. The Browns acquired two immediate-impact rookie first-rounders in quarterback Baker Mayfield and cornerback Denzel Ward.

If Mayfield doesn't progress steadily throughout the year and the Browns have more duds similar to Sunday, general manager John Dorsey may consider another head coach to expedite the roster's development.

Remember, Dorsey didn't bring Jackson with him to Cleveland, so any sentiments of underachievement may signal change.

I think that some of the credit for the team's improvement MUST be given to Hue. If he gets a beating when the team under-performs, he gets praise when they develop. However, both the beatings and the praise are fleeting in the business of the NFL. To keep the praise coming, the team must continue to succeed/develop.

That said, I don't think any differently about Hue today than I did at the start of the year - which is very different than I felt about Hue at the end of last year (which is now irrelevant). He's the HC and I want him to succeed. I don't think last Sunday is indicative of anything good or bad about Hue's performance. They just laid an egg. It happens to young teams...shoot...it happens to established teams. HOWEVER, Hue cannot afford many laid eggs...his fault or not won't matter. If the ST continue to stink, it will reflect on him. If the defense continues to get gashed, it will reflect on him...fairly or not. It is what it is.

Also, the lack of discipline on this team is ridiculous - and again fair or not that is reflecting on Hue. He better get that cleaned up because sloppy play coupled with losses will be his demise here.

In the end, I think you - and others - are spot on about this Sunday. I'm not saying they must win, but they cannot lay another egg and look as disinterested as they did last week. Fair or not.

Except that Dorsey isn't Hue's boss. They are parallel peers, not boss/subordinate. They each report to Haslem.

Just curious ... whats there to discuss with u ... your mind is made up ... u can’t have a discussion with a closed mind ..

The team has been competitive in 5 of 6 games this year ... been alot of positives and some negatives ...

The blowout came in a week after some crushing injuries at a position that had all ready lost Gordon ... we lost Higgins who was Bake’s security blanket and Willies ... i think losing Calloway would have been a lot less harmful than losing who we did ...

The team has been well coached ... last week was a total failure ... every phase of the entire team coaching staff included ... special teams wasn’t a culprit ... they took a step back penalty wise from the previous week but they still played OK ..

And now you’ve put Hue on the hot seat just IGNORING the first 5 weeks ...

This team is YOUNG and INEXPERIENCED and is going to have games like last week when were playing an opponent that is hitting on all cylinders and is just better and more experienced than us ...

I’m not making excuses for hue or anyone on the staff .. it was a STINKER ... but like Willie said .. u can’t fry him for that yet not give him credit for the first 5 games ...

Like i said ... theres nothing to discus with u .. u want to pretend to be open minded ... but your not ... Willie is open minded for one reason only .. HES LOOKING AT THE ENTIRE PICTURE ..

If this happens to us 3 or 4 more times this year ... Hue will be in trouble depending on INJURIES .... that will be a different discussion and one u won’t be involved in as far as i’m concerned .. thumbsup

I don’t know why Lincoln Riley would be considered, he’s only been a head coach at OU for 1 year plus a few games. Hardly a resume that warrants an HC job in the NFL.

I am good with small steps, but small steps should lead to a no0n 10 loss season. We should have won 3-4 games last .

Guys like Vers can't use zero wins as the benchmark. We should have won some games last year.

I like Dorsey, but lets be real here....claiming we didn't have real players buys him time. That wasn't a comment in support of Hue.

Dorsey gave Hue a better roster. We need to not lose 10 games. The tie was a good friend to Hubert.

Think about it

I don't see why we need a new coach.

We have acquired some talent, but no depth.

It's gonna take more than one season for Dorsey to fix this.

It feels like we have the leaders in place, we just need some more time to get the depth. And some more key pieces.
