That's a bit high for him if you ask me. Glad we didn't bite.

Panic move, I'd rather have Dez and my 1st back.

I thought at best they would get a mid to late 2nd for him...
I'm kinda hoping they release Tavon Austin...Because I would grab him as him as soon as possible...He oculd shore up our return unit and be that quick gadget player that Haley tries to utilize on some of his plays.

I'm really surprised they got a first rounder for him.

I'm really surprised they got a first rounder for him. Me too. Everything i've heard is that he struggles to consistently catch the ball and he's not that good of a route runner.

It's really odd, Amari had really good hands...His hands were pretty good his first couple years (ditto for Crabtree his first year in Oakland where he was amongst the leagues best catchers) Last year both regressed with drops last year...And the same is carrying on to this year...His confidence seems a little broken...Oakland got a great draft pick out of him...Guy is really talented when he is focused though.

I’ve had some time to digest this trade. This is a stupid, panic trade by the Cowboys.
You trade a 1st rounder for a guy who is on the last year of his rookie deal…and mind you, HAS THE FULL ON YIPS. Now, you have a guy with the yips, lost a 1st round pick and you are all but FORCED to re-sign him to a longterm deal. Dumb, it’s just a bad spot to put yourself in.
He was SO bad last year. 680 yards and converting 50% of targets into catches…..Through half a season (7/16) this guy has 280 yards.
A 1st round pick and the contract they are going to have to give this guy……I cannot imagine how Cleveland as an organization would get crushed for this nonsense.

And the Cowboys are not good. This is probably a top fifteen pick.

Cowboys got hosed.
With the Raiders in tank mode, they took advantage of the Cowboys desperation.

That is insanely costly, given the way Cooper has fallen off.
I would have questioned a third, personally.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

As an Alabama fan, I can tell you when Cooper was on he was Great, but he was only on 50% of the time.
Cowboys just got screwed by Chucky.

fleeced. Dez wouldnt' have cost much and they could have used their #1 on a WR next year.
Meh.

The Cowboys are currently 3-4 and would hold the 9th overall pick if the NFL Draft were tomorrow. Amari Cooper has 70 receptions for 960 yards over his last 20 games. The 2019 NFL Draft is absolutely loaded at WR. https://twitter.com/IanKenyonNFL/status/1054451895421538310

If they got him for a 3rd round pick I'd say it's a fair gamble .. not with that price

A lot has to do with his age and upside IMO. They view him as untapped potential, young, and a possible #1 (whether or not that's all true)

they get a first rounder we get a 6th for carlos. It was a 5th, and obviously his market value. If someone was willing to give more, then he would have gone there. The league has changed, RBs do not have the same value they once did. And Dallas way overpaid for Cooper.

Plus, think about the salary on top of it

Strongly disagree that the 19 WR class is any good at all.

they get a first rounder we get a 6th for carlos. and the Steelers are getting nothing for Bell. RB market is not an apt comparison.

Dez Bryant - WR - Free Agent
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Saints and free agent Dez Bryant are "in negotiations" on a contract.
Per Pelissero, "all signs are pointing that way" regarding the two sides reaching an agreement, even though Bryant left New Orleans already. Brandon Marshall and Kamar Aiken also worked out for the Saints, but neither is expected to get the job. Bryant would simply be a member of the supporting cast for Drew Brees. If signed, he would be hard to trust as anything more than a WR3.
