I've noticed that the search tool is having a bit of a problem. If you search for one keyword it seems fine. If you search for two keywords, it will pull up a list of posts that match, but when you click on the link to read the post, it gives a 404 error. You can even click the "preview" for the post and it shows the posts that matched the criteria. It's just the link that seems to be broken.

Often it seems that the older posts are shown, but not accessible, if they are older than the forum view you have set in each particular forum.

Fr example, in the Everything Else forum, I have my forum view set for posts active in the last 6 months. ()at the bottom) If I search, and pull up a post older than that in the search results, it won't display.

It's weird, but try changing your forum view to include older posts, and then search again.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Just tried that, and it still didn't work. I was able to pull up older posts, but I could only search on one word.

Do you mean it works if you put in "Baker", but not if you put in "Baker Mayfield"?

Just tested it... that's exactly the case.

Wow. That is something.... I gotta see if I can find a fix for this.
Thanks for the heads up, folks!!

Did you already fix it? I noticed that I could see the posts if I took out parts of the URL, I just went to see which part, so I had an example, and I could see posts from 2012 without getting an error screen when I clicked the link.

Any news on this? I looked at what CHS was saying about the URL. If you chop off a bunch of it, and just leave the thread number, you can get to the "page" where the post was made, but you have to search it for the actual post. I'm wondering if something is funky with the URL, or the cgi that is parsing the rest of that url string.

I've found some information suggesting that the URL contruction uses invalid or just improper characters... notably, I believe the '+' sign for search term concatenation.

I'm looking at both some suggested fixes, but I'm also giving thought to a full board upgrade which would have the added benefit of allowing the site to better function on mobile devices and smaller screens.

In short, I'm still trying to figure out the best approach, but it is being worked on.

You and I don't always get along, but I think it's a great thing that you spend so much time giving us a place to talk about our team. And your concern for making the board more user friendly is impressive.

Thank you.
