3-35-1 0.090 winning percentage in Cleveland
11-43-1 0.209 winning percentage overall....
We could fire him at any point this year and it's not knee jerk...

Who takes over if he's fired? Worry about that after the season. Right now this guy has got to go.

So, there is no responsibility for the loss on Hue? Interesting theory. That's an oversimplification. If you want to "blame" the loss on someone, sure, you can blame it on him, he's ultimately responsible. But that is myopic at best. What I'm saying is, the team isn't built to win yet, especially against very good, veteran teams. I'm saying, give it time and we will all be rewarded. That's just my take. I've seen it before, many times. I see the making of a very good team here. We're just not there yet, and while it is disappointing, it's not unexpected given where we started at the beginning of this year.

Ok.
Let's look at this from another point of view.
Exactly which top quality coaches are going to be available midseason.
Either from the NFL, or College?
Which one of these top quality coaches are going to ditch their teams to come coach the Cleveland Browns midseason?
None. Zero.
Some couch bum might come coach.

Why are you assuming we'll Hire our next coach mid season... firing hue allows you to start that process but the actual hire doesn't come until after the season... I don't know if firing him is the right choice but I'm tired of losing... I'm tired of our offense looking pathetic.... I personally don't care if we keep him or fire him... but I want to win... Justin not sure hue can win..

The next question you have to ask yourself is, if the couch bum took over would you notice a difference in the play on the field?

Sashi plan was to lose, right? So 31 of the losses is from following "The plan"
Firing a coach midseason just tells the team we're quitting on the season. Has an interim coach ever worked out?
At this point I could care less if Hue stays or goes. I just don't see how a midseason firing will help.
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

How many will be needed next season? This is the rabbit hole of allowing a coach to stay on with no concrete goals given to him by his bosses. If they have given himgoals, has he reached them? If yes, announce it If not, fire him.

Let's be strategic. Let's not be the laughing stock of the NFL. Who exactly do you want to replace him? Hayley as interim HC? Gag me? Williams? He is doing a fine job developing the defense, don't saddle him with that crap. Then who? WHO?

If yes, announce it If not, fire him. I have a better idea, let's get through the season, see how the team grows this year, then let's add an infusion of talent from the draft and free agency. Then let's give the team a second year in the same offense. imagine that, a franchise QB with TWO YEARS in the same system and more talent around him. Give the D more talent and a third year in the system. Then let the season play out. Then let's see where we are. Let's just see. You might be surprised. Or we could blow it all up, limp through the season, scramble to put together a new staff, knowing they will need a few years to get it together after they blow up the schemes, add their own coaches, get rid of talent we all know should stay, add their own players, some of them busts, have two losing seasons, fire the new guys after two years because the fans are unhappy and the media is calling for their heads, declare Dorsey a bust, and fire him too. Then rinse and repeat.

If we are worried about the offense not changing then we could just promote Haley to head coach and keep him for next year? Hue doesn’t need to be around to keep the same offense.

As far as I know, the fans don't fire anyone. The owners do.
And truthfully, as much as I back hue in his 2 1/2 years, it's time to put up, or shut up.
He's been the recipient of excuse after excuse. No talent. Not enough talent. No playmeakers.............
Always excuses for hue.
I will say, we're close. We've been in every game other than the chargers game this year. But, our record is sad.
Tanking Hue might not be the thing to do, but giving him a pass isn't the thing to do either. After all, as he'll tell anyone that listens "I'm the head coach" He seems to be a good person. we're close to being a winning team. Do we stick with him? If so, why? No other team would.

You sure Haley would keep Williams? You think Haley will magically turn around this season? Have you seen the remaining schedule? You think the outrage is bad this week, wait a couple weeks. lol. It's gonna be ugly. Firing Hue ain't going to change that, I promise you.

It's gonna be ugly. Firing Hue ain't going to change that, I promise you. It was a hypothetical. If the offense doesn't need to change we can fire Hue and just keep Haley. Also, Hue turned over the entire defensive staff after his first year and the entire offensive staff his second year.

And I'm saying your hypothetical is overly simple. And what about Hue firing the both the offensive and defensive staffs? There's already rumors about him firing Haley right now. There is a non-zero chance that we wake up in the morning to Ken Zampese being the offensive coordinator with Hue calling plays.

lol, he replaced himself as OC and replaced the DC he was saddled with. I think he has his staff in place and will move forward as is, if allowed. I'm done for tonight. I know the loss was tough. It's going to be tough next week and the week after that and the week after that until this team gets another infusion of talent and some experience. If you can, try to enjoy the process because believe it or not, the Browns are improving. It may not seem that way right now, but they are. You all have a good night.

lol, he replaced himself as OC and replaced the DC he was saddled with. Hue hired Ray Horton. He replaced himself. . . and fired all the position coaches. Also, isn't John Dorsey saddled with Hue? I think he has his staff in place and will move forward as is, if allowed. There were literally rumors of us firing Haley this morning/ If you can, try to enjoy the process because believe it or not, the Browns are improving. It may not seem that way right now, but they are. I am enjoying the process. This is the most excited I've been about the team in awhile.

Hue looked defeated out there when we had the freaking lead. The losses have taken to mu h of a toll on the guy. I don't see a man the players will follow. I see a desperate man not sure if he wants his job.

Mourg, I am very disappointed w/your take. I get that guys like cfrs, will, rasta, etc are going to make unfair comments, but I never thought you would be in a group that is so deplorable.

That's how you really know he's given up.
