I don't want an old HC retread. I'd prefer someone who is youner, innovative, understands the numbers/percentages of certain plays at certain yardages, at certain times of the game, stc. Oh, and someone who doesn't thrown others under the bus and hates Mike Silver.
Tackles are tackles.

Lincoln Riley?
Matt Campbell? Meh. Not thrilled at either one.
How does a league celebrating its 100th season only recognize the 53 most recent championships?

It's Al Saunders for the time being.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Either DeFlippo or Riley for me.

DeFlippo or Riley. Dorsey is rumored to like the Chiefs STs coach as well.

So, this means the end of Haley and Williams I suppose? A new HC coming in and all. Wanting his own guys.

Hey, I've got a great idea....
If we get a bump in performance from guys on the field following the firing, and then regress back to the mean after 3 games, we can then fire Al Saunders, and make Amos Jones the interim interim HC.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Just watch, we're going to switch back to a 3-4, cut 2/3 of Ogunjobi, Coley, and Ogbah... and try Garrett OLB for enough games as it takes to errode his trade value, where we'll let him go for peanuts.

Would like to see Williams stay. When he gets the defense rolling it hits on all cylinders. We're too banged up and some are overplayed right now IMHO.

We can't even talk to any NFL OC, DC or HC until their teams season is over without permission from their team. That's tampering.
It's the reason most teams wait until the end of their regular season to fire coaches. When it comes to talking to current NFL coaches, there's zero advantages in firing a HC mid season.
The only legit. reason to fire a HC mid season is internal strife that's hurting your team.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Who you got? I like either of those. I imagine Dave Toub will be a name that comes up due to his connection with Dorsey. Zac Taylor?

That's tampering. Yes, it is but we are only speculating here.

Mike Tomlin, if the Stillers don't make the playoffs this year and their ownership loses its collective mind.

This will be GM John Dorsey's first head-coaching search. And it's going to be absolutely fascinating. This is a job a lot of people will want. https://twitter.com/Eric_Edholm/status/1056949665869037568

So, this means the end of Haley and Williams I suppose? A new HC coming in and all. Wanting his own guys. Bank on it. Which means next year will be new offensive and defensive schemes, which means new players. The stars will remain, the underlying cast will experience a TON of turnover, again. I'm calling it now: The new DC will flip us back to a 3-4 which means more than half our DL will be useless and we'll begin to experiment with flipping Myles Garrett into a 3-4 OLB for a year before trading him away for a 3rd round pick to a team that will put him back at 4-3 DE where he will resume Pro Bowl seasons.
Browns is the Browns

McCarthy will probably be fired in Green Bay and Dorsey will hire him due to their previous ties.
The Browns are a freaking joke. As soon as things start looking positive, they go out of their way to make the dumbest moves possible.
Can't wait to hear "It just feels different this time." And "We gotta give these guys a chance." And "These guys finally get it."
Then, one and half years later and they'll all be calling for the head of a coach or coaches.
It never ends.

It never ends. I agree. If Hue had a short leash this year, they should have fired him last season. We actually win a couple of games, have some close ones, which if special teams didn't botch their jobs, we would have even more W's.... We were progressing. I'll be glad to see in 2 years where fans and media are calling for another HC, saying whoever we get just doesn't have what it takes. Fans and media need to understand that coaching, and winning in the NFL, is not easy.
