im posting this because This version of tucker is wildly different from the video you just posted, as well as his usual rhetoric on fox news.
its why im hesitant on taking him seriously. everything from his stances, to his behavior, to his "energy" isn't consistent. thats a sign of a guy who is either dancing around the issue depending on who he's talking to and/or the audience, or a guy who isn't really sure he believes in the things he's saying.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Rubin was on TYTs payroll arguing for typical left talking points like holding big business accountable, single payer health care, accountability on guns, etc. Now all of a sudden he's a big time libertarian? Hmm.
lol Cenk is destroying him (at 40 min mark). Tucker saying tacos are American culture, but that multiculturalism is a crazy idea to build a nation on is absolutely insane. Does he not realize that America is multicultural from the start. I get that you all think that white people are the same, but there are vast differences in culture between the French, British, Germans and Italians, especially back then.
In a month or so, we're going to be celebrating our longest national holiday, based on the benefits of multiculturalism. America grew westward by expanding our national culture to include the colonized areas to the West of the Mississippi.
And Dave Rubin is an opportunist who is willing to significantly alter his views (in fundamental ways) to make a buck.
Any of his views aside, Rubin has to be one of the absolute dumbest people in media.
Joe Rogan - the guy who spends most of his time asking people if they’ve ever done DMT - sounds like an intellectual titan any time the two talk.
I’ve never seen a real-life Rubin fan, and I’m not exactly surprised that it turned out to be a guy who does the “I’m not mad, I’m actually laughing” routine when everyone points out how absolutely vapid Dave Rubin is.
He’s little more than a failed stand-up who turned to rubes and easy marks to pay the bills. And he can’t even do that competently.
What's wrong with wearing a bow-tie?Didn't you get on OCD for making a broad generalization about flat-billed hats?
One of those things traffics heavily in racial stereotypes. The other is making fun of nebbish dorks.
To each their own, but bowties are for formal events, not every night while you tell CNN viewers our predictions about how easy and beneficial the Iraq War is going to be.

Anyways, when I have time I'll go find the video since you don't want to.
It was exactly what anyone would assume by looking at the picture - basically a version of "rappers use that word, where's the outrage then?", except for blackface.

This is patently false. Bow-ties are not just for formal events. In fact, they are very common in the general business climate. I will say they may be more regionally accepted in places like the South & Midwest and not so much on the West Coast but that could be said for so many things. The issue is when someone wears a bow-tie that certain people naturally assume a some 19th century plantation, slavery, Colonel Sanders bias and follows that up white supremacy...kinda like what you do.
I can't wait to see your reaction the next time you see him wear a seersucker and buck shoes.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.
Tucker doesn't ONLY wear bow-ties. A quick google search will indicate that. And if he likes to wear them more than "regular" ties as part of his style or brand (in your agrument) so be it. The issue is attributing someone wearing certain things and equating that to white supremacy or any stereotype for that matter. I would hope we can all agree that isn't a good thing. Or at least most of us can hopefully.
That said, if people want to have conversation about style preferences of themselves or others, start one up and I'll chime in because mine is superb.

Using an adjective to describe what a specific race baiter in question wears does not mean that all race baiters are being described using the same adjective. Do you have a specific sentence in mind that led you to this conclusion?
I guess one would have to actually take an open minded look at what he says before they can determine what he is. You do understand a person can have some racist views without being a white supremacist, right? You do realize those two aren't the same thing, right?
Maybe not....
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

You're clearly not following the back and forth. That's cool though, you had a rough 24 hours with the Hue Jax firing. It'll pass.

I could care less if you buy it. You're just trying to bring football in the political forum as a bait and switch con game and nobody cares. Pound salt. lmao

You’re pretty desperate to discuss anything but the fact that Tucker Carlson ran a “why is it OK for a black person to do it, but not a white person?” segment last night, which further punctures your laughable claim that an obvious racist isn’t racist.
Multiple posters in this thread keep bringing up Tucker Carlson's dog whistling, race baiting segments, white fear mongering, immigrant bashing, flat out racist website, and other questionable acts over and over again.
If Tucker Carlson is not a racist by virtue of peddling racist behavior, you should be able to easily refute it. The fact that you are using selective attention fallacy to mislead the discussion indicates that you have no good defense for what Tucker Carlson is doing.
“why is it OK for a black person to do it, but not a white person?”
That was the name of the segment?
The segment was Carlson being upset because Megyn Kelly got fired for decrying blackface not being OK anymore, and his evidence of this unfairness is that Lester Holt once did "whiteface".
That's a very apt and precise description of what the segment was about.
I don't understand why you felt the need to post a link to an interview with Carlson, an obvious racist, and then seemingly take glee when it was pointed out to you that he's an obvious racist, and then dance around the point that the guy you claimed wasn't racist did a "whiteface/reverse racism" segment like two nights later.
Really not sure why you're so eager to mount an argument that's clear to anyone and everyone you're on the wrong side of. Carlson isn't even really hiding it anymore.
