He took this pic on 8-9-07. It was at the Chippewa golf course in Ohio. I was actually driving in Canton that day and saw the same exact thing, exept I was driving into the blackness. This pic is amazing! I think there was a sighting of about 3-5 tornados that night in stark county alone.
It was headed towards the golf course. I was driving home from Mercy medical center that day (2 days after my mom's brain tumor removal) and I saw that exact thing right in front of the football HOF on I77. It scared the crap out of me because I had my 20 month old daughter with me! I had no choice but to drive directly into the blackness. Thank God I was able to make it to my parent's house safely but I do know there were alot of tornados that day.

I didn't see this before. I hope she is doing well.
Thanks. She is doing fantastic and the tumor came back 100% benign. Her birthday is actually today (she turned 57) and she is SO happy to be having another birthday and watching her Browns tomorrow night.
Quote: I would have stayed behind that storm until it was gone....it's huge. The first pic shows up now, btw.
How's your Mom doing?
My mom called me from her hospital room and said "I think you should come back!" LOL! But by that time I was 1/2 way to my parent's house. She's doing great Michelle. Thanks for asking about her! I spoiled her while she was in the hospital and got her a TON of Browns and Buckeyes clothes and gear. Her bday is today and I got her 3 new Browns's sweatshirts and a buckeyes hat.
Quote: Saw that at work about 30 min from where u were. That freaked me the hell out when I saw it. That storm was wicked nasty.
I was so scared since I had my 20 month old daughter with me. I kept thinking "Ok, do I keep driving? pull over and get into a ditch?" so I kept driving but was prepared to pull over and get both of us into a ditch if I saw a tornado.
We had a lady who was supposed to be going home driving straight for it and she came into the station and stayed there until it was over. Was very scary. Glad you and the little bit are ok and made it through that.
Amazing picture. I've only seen clouds like that once before and the storm behind it was amazing.
My friend lives in Chicago and was telling me all about the storm that rolled through there Thursday. At 3 pm in the afternoon there, it looked like it was 10 pm. Funnel clouds over downtown Chicago and all that. The news clips of the lightening from that storm were definitely something to see. Quite a beautiful display, although a dangerous one.
Glad to hear you made it through ok and that your mom is doing well.
Here's a video I found on Youtube, there are a bunch...
