I certainly agree with you about Harrison. The skill set and natural ability is certainly there. I even mentioned him before the draft as having those skills and his potential. But he's raw and needs to add some weight and strength. His technique needs improvement as well.
You are certainly correct about changing from one T position to the other. I believe if someone is right handed it's easier to make the transition from LT to RT but still a very hard change to make. Muscle memory is something that once established is a very hard thing to correct.
Harrison is certainly a work in progress but I certainly hope our powers that be can see he is worth the investment in time to develop. His skill set is very rare and our investment in him was next to nothing.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Greg Robinson impresses in emergency start, under consideration to replace Desmond Harrison in lineup BEREA — At best, Greg Robinson won himself the starting left tackle job. At worst, he earned the trust of his teammates. Either way, his emergency start Sunday qualified as a success. “You never want injuries to happen anyway, but I just wanted to be ready,” Robinson said Monday. “Most importantly, I gave the guys in the room a little bit of confidence with me out there. It turned out well. I feel I can continue to work and better my game.” Robinson had been limited to a few snaps as an extra lineman through the first eight games but was pressed into full-time service in the 37-21 loss to the Chiefs when undrafted rookie Desmond Harrison was unavailable with an undisclosed illness. “He played well, didn’t he?” interim coach Gregg Williams said. “It was good to see.” Harrison said Monday he was feeling better and would be back this week. The question for the coaching staff is whether he’ll return to the starting lineup. “Those are the discussions that the offense staff will have, and I’ll be a part of that once they go through it,” Williams said. “Every day is a competition. It’s not game-by-game, it’s day-by-day. So every day we’ve got to continue to be better and what we’ll do as a staff and what we’ll do as a team is play the best guy for the best opportunity.” Browns fall to Chiefs for fourth straight loss. Harrison was a surprise starter Week 1 then held the job through eight games. Williams said he’s improved “light-years” since he arrived from West Georgia, but he had struggled over his last few games and the volume of hits on quarterback Baker Mayfield increased. Harrison (6-foot-6, 295 pounds) has elite athleticism but was having problems anchoring against the bull rush. Harrison was in a hurry to get to a meeting Monday but said “for sure” he was disappointed he wasn’t able to play Sunday. He practiced Wednesday and Thursday before missing Friday and the game with the illness. Robinson (6-5, 330) has the edge in bulk, but not quickness, and held his own Sunday. Mayfield was sacked only twice, after 17 times over the previous four games, and they were the result of miscommunication that allowed a free rusher. Chiefs pass rusher Dee Ford, who entered with eight sacks, registered only a tackle and no quarterback hits, and Robinson received a pair of unsolicited postgame shout-outs from Mayfield. “After watching the film I felt like I played well,” said Robinson, who called just playing a “blessing.” “It felt good to just get out there with the boys, taking it to the game field rather than just practicing. It was encouraging and I’m really happy that he spoke well about me.” Robinson isn’t a run-of-the-mill reserve. He was the No. 2 overall pick of the Rams in 2014 out of Auburn and just turned 26 last month. He’s failed to live up to expectations and is on his third team in three years — he entered the season with 48 starts in 52 games for his career — but believes there’s plenty of time to rewrite the story of his career. “Who knows how it can turn out, you know what I’m saying?” he said. “But I have no excuses whatever, my work ethic is never going to change. All I can do is show up. “I’ve dealt with a few injuries and those type of things, but nothing’s really holding me back except myself.” Robinson was signed in June, after minicamp and after the Browns became concerned Shon Coleman wasn’t the solution following Joe Thomas’ retirement. But before Robinson could enter the battle for the starting job he suffered a concussion on the second day of training camp and fell behind, especially as he struggled to learn a new system. “I would like to think it would have (been different), just because it would have been an even playing field,” he said. “Playing from behind is challenging because there are a lot of great athletes in this business. It’s not easy to win a position. You really have to stay on it and put in a lot of hard work.” Williams was with the Rams in 2014, and Robinson said they have a great relationship and crack jokes. “I’ve seen him develop as a young guy,” Williams said. “I’ve seen him have his battles, ups and downs, and it’s been good.” Robinson said he “would hope” their relationship means Williams is in his corner when choosing a starter. “All I can do is just show up each day and work my butt off,” he said. “If that’s a decision that the coaches will make going forward, I’m really proud of it.”

Some people think wide receiver is our A#1 problem next off-season, I say it's the offensive line. If the QB is good enough he can make average players look great. He needs to not be injured in order to do that.
Luckily we have enough assets to address both.

I think the QB has made the OL look worse than it is. They have not been bad. Stats and grades prove that to be true.

Wonder why i cant see it ... huh ... oh well, it happens ... It's a message board, I don't ignore anyone. Some I just skip over. It was a twitter post by Brian Baldinger on Greg Robinson. He was pretty harsh on him, It looks like he deleted the vid so it disappeared here also.

If the QB is good enough he can make average players look great. Well that works great if you have Tom Brady or Drew Brees at QB. And while Baker surely does have talent he's a very young QB who is developing. I don't think that applies in our current situation.

I think both Baker and the OL are playing good. Actually I think 21 points a game average is very good for this team. Unfortunately I think I'm the only one that thinks this... Baker is still stressing the OL play, he has problems out of the pocket, once he irons that, he will be good.

I feel Baker is doing well considering his supporting cast. Yet that doesn't change the fact he is a young, developing QB. He's not at the point you can expect him to make the players around him better. It's a time when you need to support him.

Baker is not an accurate QB outside of the pocket ... yet You don't have to be a genius to guess what are the opponents OC's going to do... pressure the rookie and make him leave the pocket. That puts a lot of pressure on the OL, which is not a great OL, but is far from being bad. At this moment of time, its far better than the QB position, IMHO.

If Harrison is demoted and Robinson starts...I hope that doesn't put him in a dark place and he loses out to his demons.
Best news would be to hear that Harrison is getting reps at RT. That might be better for us down the road. Robinson at LT and Harrison at RT rather than Harrison at LT and Hubbard at RT.

I agree. Why not try Harrison at RT and Robinson at LT

He lacks the strength to plat LT,how would he play RT?
He needs to get stronger. He has the rest of the package to be a solid to above LT. He needs to get stronger, and gain experience.

Seems that Robinson is bigger and stronger, but slower. Harrison is faster and more agile, but lighter and weaker. Seems like Harrison can more easily add bulk and strength, than Robinson can add speed and quickness.
Also, in the Chiefs game, there were two seperate issues of assignment problems. One where the talking heads stated the whole line was intended to shift to the left, according to Baker's call, and apparently Bitonio did not get the memo. The other was a defender between Robinson and Njoku, Robinson was engaged with the defender on his right and Njoku made no effort to get in the other guy's way, after the play he clearly was making a "what the heck" gesture to Robinson. Both of these errors resulted in a defender totally unblocked getting to the QB.
Not sure what the problem was, there, but that has to be cleaned up. Other than these two, Bake had a pretty good pocket most of the game.

The oline has been a disapointment the last couple of years in my opinion. Losing Schwarts hurt and made no sense. I was hoping our oline would be a strength this year. Starting a rookie LT has not helped and Hubbard has been a disapointment so far. Maybe Robinson can live up to his high draft status of a few years ago. Baker needs to get rid of the ball quicker and we need to run more between the tackles.
I just want a winner. We need players who can be part of the solution not part of the problem.

I hope Corbett is headed in the right direction. As the #1 second round pick, I was expecting a little more than depth out of the pick.
It's still early. I thought it was a good pick when we made it, so it can still turn that way.

Agreed on Corbett. He and Chad Thomas are basically redshirting this year. They better be ready to go next.

They have been doing good, and its quite clear that at this moment they are a much better unit than the QB, which would be expected at this point of BM's development. We even have running game... that's a big difference...

I think we did a lot to help the QB and the ol last week. I also think down the road if Corbett learns center we have a cowboys type of interior. Not gonna be easy but if it works damn team should never get stopped on a 3rd n 2.

I do not see that being his problem. YES 100% agree that with a complete OFF SEASON in our Strength and Conditioning program if he works hard at it will be a big difference. It is that way WITH ALL ROOKIES. Harrison also. But do you really, really see Hubbard as Stronger...
I'm not saying he would be perfect but I'm saying he would be BETTER than what we are getting out of Hubbard.

Well, I have watched him get shoved around, which demotes a lack of strength. His lack of strength helps negate his innate abilities, and it sometimes blows up his technique.
He has good feet, punch, agility and quickness required by the job. His technique is still a work in progress, though. It appears that he has hit the rookie wall.
Why you would want to stick him at RT, where he would be playing backwards, and where he lacks the strength to [play the position, is beyond me.

He has NO CLUE what the word LEVERAGE means ... run or pass block ... he’s like a RB that runs upright ....
He has GREAT FEET but gets ZERO BEND at his knees ...
Joe Thomas talked about getting low in his video ... Rodney NEVER gets low ... pass or run blocking ... thats all about knee bend ....

I'll say that Zeitler had a tremendous game from the clips I saw

Kitchens' shemes also help the o-line. Simplify the plan, clarify the assignments, polish until effective.
Brian Baldinger had a few comments on his Twitter account about the schemes and sets Kitchens was using.

PFF's 32 observations (1 for each team): https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-32-nfl-observations-week-10-2Cleveland Browns: The Browns interior offensive line has allowed 26 pressures this season, which is the fewest for any team. This meshes with what I've seen-- most of the pressure has come from the edges. This is true across the league, but especially so with the Browns. There's a good core of players on the offense but the ones generally more responsible for the passing game could use some upgrades. It's what I wrote in a couple threads: tackles, receivers, tight end I think there will be a major investment in left tackle this off-season, whether it be in free agency or the draft. It could even be trade, but trades involving quality left tackles are rare. Harrison or Robinson can be a depth guy, but neither are ideal for protecting your young QB's blind side. Hubbard got over $15 million guaranteed so he figures to be here through at least the end of next season. Maybe bring a developmental guy behind him-- someone who can be a depth swing tackle next year and then possibly take over at RT after? There's also Corbett in the mix on the interior. Not sure what the plan is there but there are definitely some players on the line.
