Thank goodness the Browns coaching staff was not stuck with a GM who had less than "two years" experience playing and managing in the NFL.

Dorsey helped to support Gregg Williams and the his coaching staff with 34+ yrs experience playing and managing at the NFL level.

I would really love for them to hire Hue Jackson and then have us crush them.

Except with our luck, he’ll go back to doing the play calling that had them in the playoffs back to back seasons.

All y’all wishing Hue goes back to the bengals forgot one thing: he was actually good there.

It would be perfect if they gave him playcalling back. Their offense isn't the problem, everyone is hurt.

Dang ... never thought of that ....

There’s more talent there than before he left ....

Mixon is a dang good RB ... huge upgrade over Hill .... and they’ve always had OK #2’s ... well this Boyd dude is special ... hes really really good ... better than Marvin and LaFell and Sanu and all of them ... this cat can play .... hes not just a complimentary reciever ... hes a very good reciever in his own right but not a #1 ....

Oh well ... as long and Marv’s there we’ll be fine no matter whose calling plays .. thumbsup

Just a couple more guys to beat. As for Mixon, Hue won't run a good back; Chubb is proof.

I am looking forward to that game. Those games.

If it involves whipping Huey, so be it.

I'd LOVE for Hue to end up in Cincy. I think our players would be ravenous for two more games

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I don't care if the Bengals hire Hue. He's not a member of MY team. I like the guys who help my team win. Anyone else is of no concern to me.

Does Hue Jackson know he doesn't need to leak stuff to Mike Silver anymore? Just go on the crappy morning sports talk shows and let everyone know.

I love all this revisionist history.
I guess it was Hue who totally gutted the team?
And of course it was Hue who was calling the plays.. Todd called none of the plays NOR who would play. I guess Hue never said anything about playing Duke and Chubb, only to have Haley play Carlos Hyde. So the Browns front office HAD TO trade Hyde to get chubb and duke more playing time.

Again, Hue had his faults but it was Haley calling the sorry plays. Also folks, one win does not make a playoff contender.
Oaklands only win was against the Browns! Also, who was calling the plays when the Browns could mot move the ball in overtime??..humm..

We were supposed to "trust him" on Cody Kessler too. Guy is a con artist.

About 8 games less gullible than the owner apparently.

Best case scenario, Marvin Lewis retires and the Bengals go from not being able to win a playoff game, to not being able to win any game.

I'm wondering how many draft choices Hue gives up for AJ McCarron?

I don’t know. Seems like a shot to get a leg up on 2 division games by bringing in a guy who knows the opponent’s playbook on both sides of the ball. Especially after seeing them execute well just before the bye.

I came here to say it's time to move on, after today this thread should be loocked, look to the future, not to the past.

But after hearing Hue is going to join the Bengals just in time to play the Browns, ...

I only wish they could make him head coach for the day.

This game just got a little more interesting.

Great, they bring in a guy who knows our playbook. Hopefully Freddie can make some tweaks to disguise our plays during the bye, otherwise these games won't go well for us

I'm not sure hue knew the play book that well when he was here... I'm sure he won't recognize all the positive plays we had yesterday...

I don’t think Hue knew our playbook, even during his first two years, when he was calling the plays. At least the product on the field didn’t indicate that he did.

Wow, what a class-less move by Hue. We paid him millions to lose a ton of games and throw other coaches under the bus. The least he could do is wait til after the season.

I wish I was more shocked he'd do something like this.

Curious to how tightly the NFL or teams control the playbook. What stops a Head Coach from having an extra playbook at the house or an electronic version?

Books are all electronic these days. I am sure they can't be copied and am sure that each individual device can be wiped clean with the touch of a button.

I am not worried about that. Where Hue could help is with the verbage used on the field. At least we now have 2 weeks to change that.

I wish Hue well. For me, it was never about the man.

Hue was, and still is, much liked here in Cincy and was in line for Lewis's job as HC.
I pretty much expected Hue would land back w/ the Bengrrs.
Apparently he will start today in some capacity.

W/ their DC being fired this week they are hurting, and to hear local newscasters reports in total disarray.
Lewis took over the D and will need help on the field during games.
I'd guess Hue will go back to working/assisting him on the O side taking over some of the game time load.

I can see some SERIOUS head butting in the works w/ their current OC.

IMO, Hue Jackson will do more to help this team win, two weeks from now, that he has done for the last 2.5 years.

With any luck, he will get to do it twice.
