I agree, so I'm casting three votes for Chubb for every two times I vote for Mayfield.
Exactly what I did
John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Mayfield, Ward, Chubb, Avery. Four starters all good players.
Think about that. Before we couldn't hit on one in the first round.
The person in charge of evaluating talent is so important.
A team lives or dies by the players selected.
We had been so wrong for so long it is kind of shocking to actually get it right.
Couldn't hit on one?
Garrett, Njoku are doing great and Peppers decent (getting better every week).
Mack and Erving starting in the NFL still (ok Erving just barely). Shelton on the Patriots doing well. They were solid picks, dysfunction made them leave.
Don't get me wrong, Dorsey knocked it out of the park, but to say we never hit another one is weird.
I will admit when we missed we MISSED HARD, Gilbert, Coleman, Mingo, Richardson lol

"Couldn't hit on one" is a mild exaggeration.. but not by much. We had far more misses than hits in the higher rounds of the draft. In fact, we got to the point where if a first rounder looked like they could just contribute, rather than be a stud, we considered it a success...
Well that was pure awesome. Thanks for posting. Hard not to love this guy for his sheer tenacity and humble nature... now we know where it all comes from. Wow.
We saw his speed on display in his other long runs, as well. (and his strength/balance, as well) He's still probably not as fast as he was as a freshman ..... but he still has pretty darn good speed right now.

One of the things I found remarkable in that video was the strong resemblance Nick has with the pictures of his ancestors. It's like looking at his face in old pictures.

Everytime I see an interview with Chubb, I can't help but notice what a humble individual he is. Before I saw this video of his family roots, I sensed something about him that was unique in todays sports world. In camp they referred to him as "old school", I think it was Landry talking about his work ethic, could have been Duke, I don't remember.
Even the video where Wiley is telling him to sit down, as funny as that was, the thing I noticed was his respect for the coach. He doesn't have the big ego many players have today, and comes across as someone who really believes that hard work is how you obtain greatness.
This kid is an inspiration to me. It shows me that in todays "all about me" world, that there still are people with core values and ambition. I hope this kid turns out to be one of the best to ever play, not just because he is a Brown, but because he is a great person, and truly what a role model for young kids should be.
My favorite Browns list has a new member, Nick joins Myles and Larry. When I'm at the stadium, I keep looking for anyone else wearing an Ogunjobi jersey. So far, mine is the only one I've seen.

I like the way Dorsey has sprinkled some High Character guys in with some 2nd chance kids. Just the right amount. Like a great Chef, seasoning is so so important
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

There are a lot of people that have those core values. That just doesn't make good headlines. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Sensation and controversy sells. Just look at the controversy about players kneeling for the anthem. That's a very small minority of players. Yet do you ever hear stories about the vast majority of players standing for the anthem? No, because there's no sensationalism or controversy about that.
It's sad when that's the way things are, but they are. We hear about every crime every player commits. But far and few between are the headlines about all the good that NFL players do and there's plenty of it.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
