I can see someone saying "leave no stone unturned" ... and that it can't hurt ... and all sorts of platitudes. But, no, it's a dumb idea. And I don't think Adam Schefter reports on untrue rumors for click bate. I don't pay a ton of attention to the talking heads - but he seems to be more insider than not when it comes to news and scoops.

I think she'd be a good interview, actually. There are things you can learn from people with a wide array of experience in leadership roles. You can probably get some fascinating insight in that regard.
Obviously we aren't going to hire somebody without any football experience to be the next head coach. It's just not going to happen, so don't worry about that.
Though to be fair, I can honestly say that I'd rather have Condoleeza Rice as head coach than Hue Jackson. Intelligence without experience is usually more valuable than the inverse.

Make no mistake this is the biggest decision that Dorsey will make.
Each and everyday he will dwell upon this decision. He will be thorough to the point of exhaustion.
In listening to him discuss this mission you just know how serious this is to him.
He is going to select a guy who fits with him philosophically. A guy who he can work with and has the same vision. He is going to select a guy who can command a locker room. And has a strong vision of what type of playing personality he wants to implement.
In addition with his knowledge of people in the league and his connections he already knows the guys that will be considered.

Change it to interested in interviewing Condoleezza Rice as a consultant on the business side or something like that, and it wouldn't be anything too out of the ordinary, I don't think. It's the part about the head coaching thing that made it totally unbelievable.
