Hey Punch.........I listen to music a lot when I'm on here. Always looking for new voices. Here is a sweet voice that isn't well known and it's a song that may apply to you:
Lyrics:
Quote:
On and on, hold on Not broken in two; not you! Like the seed, you grow Under it all Your roots take hold
Smooth out the creases Then you'll see
And when you fall down in between them all Here you are whole, not broken
On and on, hold on! Not broken - just loose at the seams Oh, no no! don't let go! Just listen
Goodness increases You will see
And when you fall down in between them all Here you are whole, not broken Leave it behind - all of the pain inside Here you will be, not broken
Through the crowd patchwork souls move closer, closer And when you fall down in between them all Here you are whole, not broken
Leave it behind - all of the pain inside Here you will be, not broken
You will see You will see
The song:
Hang in there, bro. You may be altered, but you are "not broken." Make the best of what you have. You're extremely intelligent and a good man. Goodness increases, you will see!
Checked in more than a few times today to hear word from you. Now I know how Houston Control felt during re-entry when Apollo 13 took 6 minuted(87 seconds longer than expected).
Now just take it easy for a bit. As someone mentioned, at least wait till tomorrow to chase the nurses.
John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Not dead. Doing well. Walked and ate just now. Thanks everyone. I got strength from your kindness.
Not dead is always a good place to start. lol Glad to hear you're doing well, and I pray that God will bring you rapid healing and a complete recovery.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
It looks a lot better today, plus my ~3 week hair growth is covering it more (which is starting to bother me since I’m a two week shaver). The bruises and marks on my forehead and neck healed up too. I guess they had me in a mini halo during the surgery.
Still off work. Doctor won’t let me go back until the 6th. I feel good though, I want to go snowboarding (I won’t though).

“...Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup! Oh! Blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!”
You can’t scare me with scar. I’ve seen things I can’t unsee. Bring it on.
Glad you’re doing well.
LOL..............I have a long one on my neck from when I had a tumor removed from my carotid. The surgeon did a great job and it isn't gross, but if someone asks about it, I tell them "you should see the other guy." LOL
Man, that scar is so tiny I can barely see it. lol
I am really glad you came through the surgery well. How is your balance? I know that was a concern.

Balance is going well. I guess the tumor had damaged my left side balance nerve a lot over the years. Meaning, my right has been compensating all along and it wasn’t much of a shock to my system. I can get a little dizzy if I sit around too much, but it’s not too bad. If it were warmer, I would have snuck out for a ride on my motorcycle.
I think I have 10-20% of my hearing left on that side. In a restaurant or at the mall, I can’t hear crap if someone is talking to me on my left. In a quiet room, my right can pick it up. I didn’t care about that though. I can deal with being mostly deaf on one side. No big deal.
I need to come up with a good story to explain the scar. Shark attack, knife fight or....

I’m curious if you started chasing the nurses yet?
They booted me out of the hospital early Friday. I was only in for three days. And I had a male nurse most of the time. I don’t remember my female ICU nurse, so maybe I said something bad to her, but I was drugged up a lot that night.

I’m glad you’re doing well. Three days, after brain surgery, not bad. I got out two days after a heart attack, but that’s like riding a tricycle in comparison. Impressive!

You saw a girl being attacked by 3 guys .... so you jumped in to save her, and she got away .... but you took a knife blow .......
I may, or may not, have used that one in a bar, when I was younger, to explain scars on my arm and shoulder .....

Just blame my wife Punch That's what I do. My Stomach and chest looks like it was made by Dr Frankenstein himself now. I tell everybody this is where she shot me, and stabbed me, and stabbed me, and stabbed me, and stabbed me, stabbed me, and stabbed me, and stabbed me, and stabbed me, stabbed me, and stabbed me, and stabbed me, and stabbed me.

A bunch of us have been through the ringer! Keep up the fight! Always in our thoughts and prayers. Though I don't know all our names I've asked a pastor friend of mine and his congregation to keep a truckload of us on prayer lists! Can't hurt...
