Time to drop the eating crow comments. It serves no purpose.

I love the 'Savage Sundays' mantra. Our team is certainly playing with some attitude.

Sure it does. And don't tell people how to post.

I’ll admit that I was wrong about Hue. I felt he was given a raw deal with the Raiders. I thought he was well liked by players and other coaches around the league for a reason. Then all the infighting came to light. Cracks in his personality were being laid bare by the constant losing. I was ready for a change when it happened. I will say it seems as though he’s getting all the blame of this year’s losses piled on him. Haley owns a bunch of it too. He was the play caller. It’s obvious that the same players being utilized in a better way by a less ‘my way or the highway’ OC are suddenly racking up points. This to me is on Haley as much as anyone.

I’ll also say I’m glad for Hue in some regards. He coached us through epically bad times. With an epically bad roster. This lead to a ton of losses. Which in turn lead to a roster filled with young, talented, high draft pick studs. If Hue had won even 2 or 3 more games over the past two seasons we’d possibly not have Garrett, Baker, Ward, etc.
So thanks Hue for being as bad as you were. And thanks for being gone and taking Haley out with you.

In the smack shack it does...I am not telling you how to post. I am telling you how you should post. LOL

My theory is we are all fans and don't see any purpose in calling out people because they backed the wrong hose. What goes around, comes around.

We all make mistakes in our evaluations. It's done and over, let's move on.

But I must say that I have never, not once in my life, backed a hose tongue

I would rather back a hose than front one.

I once put in a good word for a pair of hoes once, does that count?

But seriously - Vers ran around here for a year or more berating and belittling anyone who questioned Hue's slightest error, shouting from the rooftops how much the players loved Hue, and how the only reason us lesser mortals could not see that was that we did not possess his vast football knowledge. Accused nearly everyone of wanting Hue fired, I would bet he mentioned firing Hue more than any other 3 posters combined.

Well, that was all a load of horse dung. He was just not very good, the players or at least many of them did not like him one bit, his practices were sloppy and lazy, he mishandled multiple QB's, and offenses, even kickers.

If we had started game one this year with GW at HC, likely would have started Mayfield, and Chubb, and have 2-3 more wins and be in the lead for the playoff hunt, right now.

Hue sucked, and Vers's comments were obnoxious and totally unjustifiable. He needs to be eating something less palatable than crow, it is his own product and he leaves a lot of it laying around.

That would be my opinion on the matter.

Horse dung or hose dung?

And we have made him aware of that.
Time to let it go. Better for your blood pressure that way.
Perhaps he'll be a little less abrasive in his posting style - give him a chance.

I was probably the 1st person to advocate for Hue to be hired after Pettine was fired. (a move I hated) It turned out that Hue wasn't the guy to turn this around. I was wrong about him. It happens. I was also wrong about Baker. I'm sure that if I go through the past few seasons, there will be yet other things I was wrong about.

Anyone who thinks that Hue didn't have the rug pulled out from under him, though, is just kidding themselves. Even Haslem has said that Hue came to coach a team with an OL in place, and some decent players in place. Then we let Mack, Schwartz, Benjamin, and Gipson. (who are all in the NFL, and 3 are still contributing at a high level)

Hue went from being a confident coach, who enforced some discipline, to a coach who became lost. It was time to move on, and it sure does appear as though the change to Williams has paid positive dividends. I like the team we are seeing right now. They still lack talent at several positions, but they are playing much better than at any time in the past 3 seasons .... and that's all that matters.

I can't say Hue was the one problem for the lack of success the past 2 years. I think its a multitude of things, especially with who we had sitting at QB. We get a pair of solid QBs, and we all of a sudden show improvement.

I still think most of the players loved Hue, but there were definitely those who disliked him. Him going to Cinci so quickly probably crossed a few players over to the do not like side (ie Peppers).

Hues biggest fault is that he talks too much. He has to tone it down, and stop trying to impress the media.

Still wish him the best.

It's time to move on though. He's no longer a part of this organization.

I think professionals respond well to being involved and knowing they have a say ... Kitchens has tapped into that

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'm glad for the wins but we beat up a pair of bad defences so I reserve judgement for now.

You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.
