Just to add, these guys play against different LT's every week. It's not like playing either of our LT's is going to be some new look they haven't seen before. They will match up against them playing in a method to offset their strengths and take advantage of their weaknesses just like they do every other week of the season depending on who we line up at LT.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Why are they called tackles, when they don’t tackle anyone? Gallagher? Gallagher, " Why do they call them buildlings when they're already built." I also must admit: Corbett's "wasted" year kinda sucks. You draft a guy that high, he should play IMO.
I have to think he's Tretter's replacement long-term If he's not good enough to play/(start), you don't put a player on the field until he earns it. He was only drafted in the early 2nd at the highest if I recall correctly. The Browns need to end the notion that any and all players they draft in April "need" to make the roster and "have" to play immediately, it may be holding the teams success back.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

yeah, in no way am I saying he has to play because of his draft slot ... BUT, I think it's a bad sign he hasnt (and Chad Thomas)

I honestly thought he played well in the preseason, and looked good when paired with Bitonio at the LG. I’m of the opinion that he’s going to be replacing the weak link in the line, after the season. Hubbard would seem to be the leader in the replaceable list. Can Corbett play RT?

I was of the opinion that Corbett was always gonna be Tretter's replacement. I think from the start J.C.s job was at risk as made clear on how they wanted him to change his body and such before the new year started and just the early minicamp offseason vibes.
I think the retirement and injurys through training camp really effected how the team could throw something together on the left side so they had to put Corbett on the back burner in his ability to focus on taking that role and Tretter amped up his game making it even harder for him to get any real game experience especially during this high ankle injury.
I am not sure what Tretter's contract is for next season but I fully expect Corbett to be pounding on his door when TC starts up and wouldn't be suprised if he takes the job and if anything putting Tretter back to becoming that versatile 6th man he played very well for the pack.
Of course just my opinions sifting through the words of coaches and other reports on this throughout the year.

That's the way I see it. It's far more of a motivational tool than some secret geared towards the opposing team. Competition for the two OTs can only be a good thing. To keep their intensity there and its not a skilled position in the sense that by competing there is TOO MUCH PRESSURE that will make them play worse.
Robinson want this badly cause his time has run out and he knows that the $$ is in LTs either here or on the FA market somebody will pay him bigtime.
Our best bet would be to Draft a stud LT and in time convert Harrison to the RT position!
Robinson I think will get a boat load of $$$ and leave us soon.

JMHO, and I know little about O-line play. PFF ranked both Harrison and Robinson as average....Wylie stated Harrison had special athletic ability, but he's raw. I agree with folks who HOPE Harrison hits weights and earns big money as LT. He'd be my pick. Robinson stays maybe, get most out of him. Drafting a "STUD" LT or RT...as well as Dorsey did with top three picks, our Stud LT from Nevada hasn't sniffed the starting O line yet. The draft is a crap shoot, but IF there's a good Wisconsin lineman coming out I'd give him a hard look.....GO Browns!!!

Just guessing, but I think hitt is referring to the fact that Wisconsin seems to send a lot of OL to the NFL. Aside from the recently retired Joe Thomas, current Badger OL in the NFL include;
Kevin Zeitler Ryan Ramczyk Rob Havenstein Travis Frederick Tyler Marz Rick Wagner Ryan Groy

I'll throw in a plug for a kid that I kind of know....Mike Dieter, the current LG for the Badgers. He's an All American and has experience at every position on the line. He used to come over to my neighbor's house a lot when he was a kid. He was a huge, athletic individual even back then.

I think there are certain schools that seem to produce NFL players at specific positions. Penn State is sometimes called Linebacker U, Ohio State seems to send a lot of DBs to the pros. And Wisconsin sends OL. All of these schools send players from other positions, to be sure. But these schools appear to recruit and develop certain positions in greater proportions.

I mean how many great QB's have come from Oklahoma?

Why would he have to be from Wisconsin? I got what he is saying...as there is excellent pedigree from Wisconsin, starting with Joe Thomas.
2017 Ryan Ramczyk, Starting for the Saints. 2015 rob Havenstein, Starting for the RAMS. 2011 Gabe Carimi, Bears/Bucs/Falcons out of football after 2014 season.
These were the First and 2nd round picks of Wisconsin OTs. Not a bad history if a good one is there. Don't know what happened to Carimi...a first round pick, probably injuries hit him hard???
But the last two 2015, 2017...hmmm odd years 2019 is next...lol are starting RTs with two very very good OL and offensive teams. Saints and Rams. David Edwards seems to be a good one coming up this year in the draft. A Junior who is 6'7" 320 lbs and a 5.25 40 guy. He might fit the bill if there with our 2nd round pick and would possibly start at RT as were the other two who start for the Saints and the Rams.
But there are many more out there. Big 10 schools have excellent OL and both Oklahoma and Alabama seem to have good ones also.

Just telling it as it is...actually a coincidence that every 2 years a very very good OT comes out from Wisconsin and is starting on two of the best offensive OL in the NFL. There just so happens to be a good one coming out this year as well.
Wasn't looking to prove anyones point...just understanding the statement about Wisconsin and actually somebody is out there from Wisconsin who just might be the guy...Yes, there are others also.
So If I proved a point it was on both cases...lol

The announcers just said, no sacks of the Browns Qb for 2 consecutive weeks. Guess coaching was a big issue. Not sure how much Robinson for Harrison is contributing but even so, that goes to coaching as well.
I am really impressed with what Kitchens is doing as our OC. I am really hoping that whoever becomes the new HC keeps him around.
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

I hope Huey got an eyeful during today's loss. Just a total domination in some areas. hats off to a backup QB who played above and beyond what we should expect from him. Green would make a difference, I am sure. But even managing splits with AFC opponents is a very big, very positive step. Game balls to coaches and just keep handing them out. Awfully proud of this team now. Watched the game with our club in a bar today. A lone, lonely noxious Cinci-nutty fan really carried on, and the smack was a-flying! She left afterward, and even congratulated us. Great day for us. two is a streak, right? had to ask. . . .

Is Greg Robinson good now or what? Well, from the last two weeks, he’s certainly good enough. And I don’t say that in a joking manner. He seems to have a solid technique against the run, and a good kick back on speed rushers. We forget, that depending on whom he has to face, he just has to be good enough to get the job done. Sometimes that will be an epic battle, sometime it will be a moderate workout. He just has to be good enough that day.

Robinson has been a big upgrade from Harrison IMO

Harrison has been inactive the the last three games. This isn't a competition and the two aren't close. The team would prefer to move someone else over if Robinson got injured mid-game than to play DH.
And Hubbard is still bad.

The past few weeks, with the gameplan and Baker's progression, I haven't noticed Hubbard as much, which is a good thing

Also ... maybe it's coincidence, but our OL penalties seem to be way down since the switches

Baker is getting the ball out very quickly overall, and is also comfortable moving in and out of the pocket. That helps his OL help him.

The offensive line collapsed at times yesterday, but what impressed me most was, after seeing the replays, how Mayfield kept his eyes down field at all times and didn't really need to "reset" his vision after alluding defenders. He has the skill of feeling what is around him and reacting accordingly without needing to look directly at pressure, allowing him to remain focused on receivers down field. Also, I love that he knows how to move UP in the pocket instead of OUT of it, when necessary. His play was remarkable.

He stands strong in the pocket...eyes downfield...arm cocked and ready to rip it. He's a defense's nightmare with that accuracy and arm strength and moxie...he's a threat to put the ball anywhere on the field. Remarkable is the perfect word.

It looks like Kitchens has simplified Baker's reads as well. The o-line doesn't have to hold their blocks as long.
