DL is stacked in this draft. If I were a betting man, I would bet we take one. This is what I keep thinking. I don't understand the need for first round OL pick at this point. We kept Baker clean against Clowney & Watt, and run the ball fairly well. I also don't see us taking a WR in the first round. Maybe LB, but a pass rushing DT or a run stuffer would be high on my list in a draft that's loaded.

Greedy Williams just declared, I'd like him in the 1st then get Collins replacement in the 2nd.

If we go defense in the 1st rd. I would look very hard at Quinn Williams DT Alabama this kid not only stops the run but is one of the best pass rush DT's I have ever seen, if you watch Alabama this kid will catch your eye quickly and often ...

I feel like they go draft heavy on Defense and go free agent heavy on Offense.
This is truly the year to bulk defense IMO... Maybe a bit more help on the Oline but the first and second round players are gonna be defensive players.
Just give Baker some time and he'll find the open guy.

I agree on Williams but he may be gone by the time we pick. If he is still there, that would be a great pick.

Just give Baker some time and he'll find the open guy. I'm not high on many free agent offensive players as of right now. Defensively, there's much more high end talent available. Though many of them are getting up there in years too. I'd love to sign Demarcus Lawrence to be opposite of Myles (if Dallas lets him walk). KJ Wright would be great too, if we were to get rid of Collins, then draft a young guy. I'd say Clowney, but I can't see Houston not re-signing him. At this point, my draft would be either Devin White (at OLB) or a 1T/3T DT in round 1, same positions or CB in round 2 - Parris Campbell would be another option (though he's rated lower right now, I think he'll be a late first to mid second guy come draft time).

Very curious to see what Terry McClauren runs at the combine. I love that guy. It was reported that Dorsey was at the Buckeye v *ichigan game. I was thinking about who he’d be scouting. My first thoughts were Dixon and McClauren. Dorsey likes speed receivers. The other player I’d think he’d be looking at could have been *ichigan’s LB, Devin Bush. He got injured during the game. Couldn’t walk off the field. I’m unable to find an update on his condition.

I don't believe we should ever "look to draft" anyone from any school. It should always be the player we need and want no matter their school. I don't care where a kid goes to school as long as he performs for the Browns.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Dixon has too much of an injury history. McClaurin is always healthy, plays excellent special teams and improved each season.
Hopefully he doesn't "outrun his draft position" because he will be a Brian Hartline type steal later in the draft.

This post is primarily to EO but of course, I'm making it in a public forum so... A few months ago, probably in a Pure Football post, you stated how much you liked Raekwon Davis, the DT/DE from Bama. At the time I was thinking that looking to take a first round DL wasn't where the Browns should go. I've changed my thinking and given our projected draft position at #11, getting Davis at that slot would be an absolute steal. With all of the DL studs out there he could fall to us and I'm on board with snatching up a 6'6", 308 Lbs, a terror to play inside along with Larry.

UDub OT Adams confirms return to school in 2019 … The story got kind of underreported last week, but star Washington LT Trey Adams made his first start in more than 13 months in the Huskies win over Utah in the Pac-12 championship game. In fact, Adams played all 73 snaps in the win over Utah which earned the Huskies a spot in next month’s Rose Bowl. Adams had been considered to be a potential top 10-15 prospect for the 2019 draft even though he was coming back from a torn ACL suffered in October 2017, but he then also missed the first 10 games of this season while recovering from back surgery in August. Adams is also expected to start in the Rose Bowl, but will still be eligible next fall as he will only have appeared in four games to date. https://gbnreport.com

I am starting to like Quinnen Williams DT Alabama. Question though to anyone.
A QB that plays at a smaller school often gets knocked for playing lesser competition. This fact can be balanced with the notion that his supporting cast i.e. OL, Wrs etc. are lesser talented guys as well. But as far as comparing Ed Oliver to Quinnen Williams it would seem that DT is straight up man on man. Meaning, Quinnen Williams putting up similar numbers as Ed Oliver would favor Williams since he is playing heads up against stiffer competition. Does that even make sense?

That does make sense to me. But my thought processes are weird to begin with.
I hear good things about Williams but haven't seen him play with my own eyes. I have seen him going as high as #2 overall in some mock drafts.
I have had the chance to watch Oliver. He is a phenomenal talent. But I don't want to draft him. He seems to get injured quite a bit. If he can't physically hold up in the American Athletic Conference, how is he going to stay healthy in the NFL?

DTs can still face double and in some instances triple teams. In a DTs case, it's usually two OL instead of an OL and a TE/RB that the edge guys see. It's easier to focus on the "star" player of a team that only really has one. Alabama is an All star team, so you can't really focus on one. Numbers are nice, but how they came to be also has to be taken into account on a play by play basis. I still need to dig into both of them more. Both are on my like what I've seen list, but need to see more of both to really rank them.

I was watching Quinnen Williams taking on double teams and till getting the stop in the backfield or a sack. Seemed like he was just pushing guys out of the way on the way to the ball. Oliver does the same things but Williams was doing it against LSU.

This feels like a Dorsey 4th/5th round pick to me Wide receiver Andy Isabella, UMass It's easy to assume Isabella is the next "Wes Welker" slot receiver prospect, and coming from a small school made it even more of a breeze to overlook him. But this is not your "quicker than fast" slot-only wideout who'll average like eight yards per catch in the NFL. Isabella was a somewhat well-known name in the scouting community after a 65-catch, 1,020-yard, 10-score 2017, but how good was he really? Ummm ... ask the Georgia secondary. Yeah, Georgia ... as in the University of Georgia. Isabella went nutty on the Bulldogs with 15 catches for 219 yards and two long touchdowns. He also had 13 grabs for 191 yards and a touchdown against South Florida and nine receptions for -- wait for it -- 303 yards with two scores in a triple-overtime win over Liberty. And then there's this on Isabella from Jim Nagy, the new executive director of the Reese's Senior Bowl: Jim Nagy ‏ Verified account @JimNagy_SB Follow Follow @JimNagy_SB More Congrats, Andy! Don’t you dare stereotype him as a “quicker-than-fast” slot guy because he can flat-out fly. Ohio state 100-meter dash champ with a time of 10.51 seconds. 3rd place in same race was @Browns No. 4 overall pick @denzelward at 10.62. Ward ran 4.32 at the Combine. The widespread talent of the 2019 receiver class could push Isabella down in the draft, but this is a top 100 pick all the way. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news...st-this-season/

Ok, I gave it a try. There are alot of players missing from this draft game. For example both Texas WRs Humphrey and Johnson as well as Hakeem Butler from Iowa State.

We need at least one tackle way moe than a WR ...
I wouldn’t force a tackle over a WR but if theres equal value there ... the tackles gonna do way more for this team than a WR ...
Problem is .. we need a STUD WR ...
Them and good tackles dont grow on trees ... although we dont need a STUD tackle so more of them will meet our need there ...
The QUANTITY of tackles to fill that need will be more numerous than the number of WR’s that can fill that need ...
And its a much bigger need when u look at our WR core right now ..
IF Callaway makes a 2nd year jump (although with wr’s sometimes in year 3 before the big leap comes) ... Willies could be better than we think ...
I’m all in on a tackle or tackles unless the WR is a stud AND we have the WR quite a bit higher than the tackle ...
