Yeah, you're probably right. In any event, I am going to attempt to make reference to "the Iraq" and the lack of maps in the U.S. to at least 4 people at a wedding I'm going to this Friday night.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

well, not wanting to be ridiculed or be part of the problem, since we don't have any large maps in our house and I do have 2 kids who will need to know where the United States is located.... it's on my list of things to do this weekend to purchase and hang a 3'x4' map of the world in the office and regularly point out to my kids where the United States is...

Hopefully her parents get her a map too. I really feel bad for her in the future though. If she has kids, man they are going to beat her down with "such us" "and like" "the Iraq".
