All smack aside, are they doing it for charity? I know of a hockey team that wore pink jerseys for one game and sold them to raise money (and awareness) for breast cancer.

I haven't seen those here yet BUT, I heard that there was going to be a "promotional thing" for the Susan B. Komen cancer run/walk.. ...I have to make sure before about this info prior to saying anything else so for all of the smack involved (seriously) the entire league maybe doing this for other cancer-related charities You might want to hold back on the banter before we see the Browns, Bengals and even Steelers ALL IN PINK.......

You are correct. In their lack of ammunition for smack, the Clown fan will use anything they can find without doing a little research first.
Speaking of helmets, how about the Cleveland Pumpkinheads for a new name?

Speaking of smack, how about you try something with at least 2% humor and maybe 0.5% originality?

LOL, this from a guy that proclaimed what a great history the Steelers have and when shown that the Browns have a comparable history, says that history doesn't matter.

one small difference, elleT94...
the Browns are selling caps for the lady Browns fans...those helmets were requested after Kyle Boller was seen wearing it in practice...
Browns fans are born with it...

That might be one of the funniest things I've read since 1996.

Ya know, seeing all that PINK in reference to FOOTBALL makes me want to I am a Lady Dawg and I wouldn't be caught dead in a pink jersey. I realize it's for breast cancer awareness and all that good stuff but let's be real. There are OTHER ways of promoting it than turning entire teams PINK. jmo also, an FYI, I HAVE lost a family member to breast cancer(my mother).

Ummmm... yeah, they are actually. It would make a great welcome home gift after their girlfriends get out of the joint.

I understand your sentiment about "selling pink jerseys" and I am sorry to hear about your Mom's passing from this terrible illness (Breast Cancer) however I think the point that is trying to be made (still trying to find out) is that this is a serious issue and if you wanted my opinion on this posting, it shouldn't have been placed here due to the "attacks and jokes" that would be tossed at it. I think that the "ever-increasing" sensitivity on this "forum" is pretty hypocritical considering that accidents are joked about, mental illness is mentioned than the hypocrisy comes out and now Breast Cancer awareness seems to take on a "different approach" and all I am seeing is the usual jokes etc.....I hope and pray that all of US are secure in the knowledge that our individual health is fine and that NONE of us are suffering at ALL both mentally and physically....

Are you able to distinguish between a disease, or someone suffering from a disease, and a stupid pink helmut fund raising gimmick?
"If" fund raising is even the case. (Please spare yourself the research, it won't make things better.)
It's a freakin' pink helmut. How many of these pink helmuts are you going to buy, er, do you own?
If I were you I would claim this photo is obviously a Photoshop hoax planted by Steamy McB.M. to divert attention.

Well Divot, I did do some research on this and the Komen Foundation and the NFL DO have a partnership !!! However, this is probably a hoax (you are probably right) ....Its' pretty sad when coloring HELMETS (spelling smack for YOU) is about as low as anyone can go on this forum for a laugh and than to have it "possibly confused" with a charitable organization...Maybe I am a little tired this evening and my "sense of humor" is a little short but I bet if I made some "off the wall" remark about steroids or created a sign that deals with mental illness, you all would have a different take on me on this board! I am not that type of person ( the many who know me here) yet it happens on this forum.....JMHO....

Far be it from me to use spelling smack, but it's a "helmet" not a "helmut."

A quick internet search shows me that it is in fact a fund raiser for the fight against cancer, which is a legitimate problem worldwide. This disease effects people from each family and each "NFL team regardless of fan affiliation" without any bias or segregation of any kind.

That's irrelevant. The fact is that they sell them (along with loads of other pink NFL gear, by all teams) to raise awareness of the fight against this disease that afflicts and kills so many of our own loved ones.

But it's not.
Let's not make fun of people afflicted with cancer, or make fun of those that have lost family members to this disease that our medical experts cannot seem to make up any ground on in the fight against it.
This goes well beyond the parameters of NFL smack, and this thread is therefore closed. Please PM me if anyone wants to argue this decision.
Thanks.
