Yeah, he has been a sponsor of hers. I dont know about now but she was fighting out of Strong Style in Independence. I dont know the weight classes but she had a fight to get a title shot and got destroyed . I think she may have dropped some weight and is now at a lower weight class.
Jessica Eye's been in the UFC for awhile. I don't remember her fighting for a title there at least. She's been in the 135 pound division but dropped to 125 pounds.
I guess she's on a winning streak.
Word has it, she'll be fighting Valentina Shevchenko. Valentina is one of my favorites. She's unbelievable. A true professional in how she trains and performs.
Nothing against Jessica Eye, but Valentina is a really tall order. Sort of a Rocky vs Apollo Creed situation. But the thing in MMA is, one shot/mistake can end a fight. So anything can happen. But, Valentina "Bullet" Shevchenko doesn't really make mistakes. Everyone she's fought lately is top tier. The one she lost to (Amanda Nunes) is very good, bigger than her (135 pound champion), and was controversial. The time they fought before that, most folks think Valentina would have won had it been a 5 round fight instead of 3 (cause Shevchenko was putting it on her in the third round).
Either way, I wish the best for Jessica Eye. But she's in for a tall task to beat Valentina. Of course any female that gets down to 125 pounds would be. Even if Ronda Rousey came back, and that would be Ronda's ideal weight class.
