Vox had a nice little video on the issue of the irish peace agreements and what impact that could have with Brexit. The way I see it, imagine if one day there was a checkpoint between Ohio and PA?.How would that impact people who work in one and live in the other? How does that impact families?

Thanks for the knowledge, Swish, 888, and gage. I don't know enough about it to speak intelligently. I'll just digest what you guys are saying and probably do some more reading.

I'm not sure we have anyone who would be considered a SME or pundit on these topics

At best what I can say is I do try to learn as much as I can and usually that puts me on the right path to success.

It's about time he spoke up. His comments came across as "okay."

Man, France has a long history of class wars.

I support the common folks who want things to be more fair both politically and economically, but I will never support the looting of stores and similar acts that seemingly are more about taking advantage of a situation rather than trying to make a real change. I do support taking some drastic measures to create attention, but things like looting stores is a bad look.

That’s Europe though. They have a monopoly on real riots. It’s like a bunch of Vikings rolling through to rape and pillage.

They’re turn up gods, man.

They riot over soccer matches. Anything is free game.

In my experiences in France. Northern France, many people seem arrogant, often rude. Whereas Southern France, the people were very polite and welcoming.

Poor versus rich is essentially what you're describing. The "Rich" Northerners come down to the south to vacation. That's what I've been told during my visits from the locals.

Go ahead and call me a few names. I will reciprocate and the thread will take off again.

France’s 'yellow vest' protesters rage on for fifth weekend

The Metropolitan Elites with their worldly views are out of touch with the rest of their citizenry.

Parts of Paris look like a war zone now.

Not surprised. Like the difference between Boston, Ma and Key West, Fl

In general yes, although I think it's a bit interesting that the French seem to only be protesting one day a week. poke
