Derrick Johnson hasn’t been on the Chiefs all season and is out of the league.

j/c:

I'm looking forward to tonight's game. First place and probably the number one overall seed is on the line. KC beat the Chargers in the first game of the year.

Both teams have prolific offenses w/KC having an advantage. Defensively, it's another story.

Chargers are 7th against the pass. Chiefs are dead last.

Chargers are 11th against the rush. Chiefs are 25th.

Chargers are 7th in points allowed. Chiefs are 28th.

That edge is probably going to be negated due to road teams really struggling on Thursday night games. It's a short turnaround it's been a real factor.

The weather is supposed to be in the mid 30s and the field will be wet. I think the chance of precipitation is down to 35% at kickoff. A bigger factor is that the wind is supposed to around 14 MPH. Wet footballs and wind can be tough on QBs. There could also be some fumbles and picks.

I believe Ware is doubtful for KC. Watkins is out. Looks like Hill would play.

For LA, Ekeler is out and Gordon was a GTD when I checked earlier this morning.

Third string RBs could have a big say in this game. Justin Jackson is pretty good for the Chargers. I don't know much about Williams for KC.

I think Berry might be back for KC. That could be huge. LA has their own good safety in Derwin James. A lot of people on here liked him while we were discussing the draft. I wonder if he will cover Kelce?

Bosa has really helped on the defensive side of the ball since he came back. I think they are a more complete team, but there are tough circumstances for them.

I'm not hearing much about the two OLs, but I think they will both be a key in this game. Quick pressure changes things, especially in a big game like this w/some iffy weather conditions.

Eric Berry, Tyreek Hill will play; Melvin Gordon officially out

The Chargers officially ruled out running back Melvin Gordon. He hoped to play, testing his injured knee before pregame warmups, but Gordon will miss a third consecutive game.

The Chargers already had ruled out Gordon’s backup, Austin Eckler, who has a neck injury and a concussion.

Justin Jackson and Detrez Newsome will share the load tonight.

The Chargers’ other inactives are defensive end Chris Landrum, center Cole Toner, tight end Sean Culkin, receiver Dylan Cantrell and nose tackle Brandon Mebane.

The Chiefs will have safety Eric Berry and receiver Tyreek Hill, both of whom the team listed as questionable Wednesday. Berry will make his 2018 debut after missing the first 13 games with a heel injury. Hill has heel and wrist injuries.

Running back Spencer Ware (foot) won’t play. The Chiefs listed him as doubtful.

The Chiefs’ other inactives are receiver Sammy Watkins (foot), left guard Cam Erving (knee), receiver Gehrig Dieter, offensive guard Kahlil McKenzie, tight end Deon Yelder and linebacker Tanoh Kpassagnon.

Chargers better be passing an awful lot tonight ... that O/U line keeps growing

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Chargers Cheifs, to me it's a no brainer.

I saw the Chargers were 10-1 in their last 11, or maybe 9-1 in their last 10, somethingl like that.

And When the Browns played both the chiefs and chargers, I thought they were more out of the Charger game than vs the chiefs.

So I'm picking the Chargers, in fact I'm picking them all the way up to represent the AFC, (or when they play the Browns again, thumbsup ), vs, probably the saints, eh why not.

(thoughts on an all los Angeles super bowl? Hey maybe the league could move all 32 teams to los Angeles and then play an over the top rope super bowl battle royal, ala WWeeee, It's what they want to do anyway, move every team to los angelas, new York or some foreign country.)

I've enjoyed his podcast with Andrew Hawkins.

They're both smart, funny... and they run their show like a couple of bros in a man cave.

Was that? ... A Travis Benjamin sighting, a Mitchel Schwarts sighting,

in the top matchup record wise of AFC teams.

Son of a GUN the Browns don't know how to keep a team together.

Chargers win 29-28 completeing the touchdown and 2 pt conversion both with 4 seconds on the clock.

Travis Benjamin with 2 impact plays, and a holding for a 1st and goal on the 1 near the end.

Chiefs didn't get jobbed as they kept a whole drive alive for their 28th iirc, by a questionable facemask call where the not called intentional grounding would have made offsets

and 2 questionable defensive holding calls for auto 1st downs.

I hate those things,
I wish there were automatic 4th down penalties an offense could commit, because I'm a football purist.

So. Chargers won, did you see that coming, I did NOT!

I think the Chargers win out 13-3, and the Chiefs will fall to the Seahawks and finish 12-4.

so SD is down by 14 in Pittsburgh ... on prime time ... in the 2nd half ... and comes back to win

and then does the same exact thing against KC

Yeah, Keyshawn Johnson showed the breakdown ... why that outside CB didn't stay out there is so dumb

He isn't going to last long in this league if he keeps running the ball 20+ times a game ... tsktsk

He’s not gonna last long either way ..

He’s in one of a very few if not the only situation he would be a viable starter in ...

U need a GREAT D to make him a viable starter ...

He can’t throw the ball ... literally .. watch his motion ... he throws the ball from his ear hole and is wildly innacurate ...

He make himself 5’8” tall with that release point and then u never know where its gonna end up ... NEVER ...

U can’t get behind with him as your QB ... LITERALLY ... u get down 10 or more in the 3rd Q and u may not have enough time to come back and win cause he CAN’T THROW THE BALL ...

1 - 1 Swish ... 1 - 1 ... wink ....

And your one ... Mr. Watson best brighten up and learn to SLIDE ALL THE TIME and not just 50% of the time or he’s not gonna be long for the league ... i really hope he does ... I LOVE watching him play ...

GOOD CALL on Mr. Watson .... thumbsup
