It's because your version of what this country should be and what it really should be is so different someone has to spell it out.

Tax the wealthy more and we pay more at stores, restaurants, any other thing they sell. The wealthy gets their tax money back anyway. The middle class is left paying twice. When the wealthy pay less we pay less for what we buy.
And what is it you buy that businesses lowered the price on after getting tax cuts? I'll tell you. Nothing! The price of goods didn't go down because businesses received tax cuts. In case you missed it, the consumer gained nothing from those cuts. The fact that you think this is what tax cuts do is mind boggling. You're a moron pertaining to economics.

Well he didn't know about until he did know about it which was before he said he didn't know about. So another lie. I mean when people keep believing someone that lies several times a day on average they can't be helped.

Yep - this is some really serious schtick. And there are now facts documented and it leads right to Trump Sr .... with the kids thrown in too for good measure since they are involved in his various businesses. As Swish posted - one entity has immunity (Owner of National Inquirer) and Alan Weiselberg. This spells serious trouble for Trump. Be interesting to see how he and the stooges spin it. But honestly it does not matter - the facts are coming out and they are damning.

And there is a tape of the conversation between Trump and Cohen discussing the payment and Trump is still calling Cohen a liar. And I wonder if that is how the pres would answer if he were under oath

We've got Cohen on record. Alan W has immunity and will no doubt corroborate and now AMI\David Pecker with immunity and again going to verify what Cohen says. I dont know about tapes but the paperwork will all support.... There are criminal actions in pain sight now.
Next it will be claimed that campaign finance violations are no big deal and anyone would do the same thing!! Just wait.

This can't be good for Trump or his adult kidsTabloid Company’s Admission Shows New Peril for Trump’s Circle David Voreacos, Chris Dolmetsch and Gerry Smith link (Bloomberg) -- The tabloid publishing company that killed damaging stories about Donald Trump is telling U.S. prosecutors about the plans hatched with members of Trump’s team in the earliest days of the campaign. At least one unidentified campaign member joined Trump lawyer Michael Cohen in an August 2015 meeting with David Pecker, the publisher of the National Enquirer, to discuss suppressing negative news stories during the election, the U.S. said. Prosecutors’ reference to unidentified campaign staff suggests that the number of Trump associates in legal trouble is still expanding. The deeper involvement of Trump’s campaign staff was revealed on Wednesday by federal prosecutors in New York, who disclosed they had reached a non-prosecution agreement with American Media Inc., the National Enquirer’s publisher. Under the deal, AMI admitted it worked with the campaign to kill stories “about the presidential candidate’s relationships with women” and agreed to cooperate. As early as August 2015, Pecker agreed to identify any damaging information about Trump that came his way and suppress it by buying the stories and not publishing them -- a practice known as “catch and kill.” Read the non-prosecution agreement here The deal with prosecutors was announced shortly after Cohen, Trump’s longtime lawyer and fixer, was sentenced to three years in prison. That was in part for his role in a $150,000 payment by AMI to silence former Playboy model Karen McDougal about her alleged extramarital affair with Trump. According to documents filed in the AMI matter, Cohen promised that AMI would be reimbursed for buying her story. While Trump has focused his wrath on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russian interference, the New York probe of campaign finance violations is a significant threat to the president since prosecutors have used court filings about Cohen to tie Trump to the scheme. “You now have AMI admitting that the payments were made for the purpose of influencing the election,” said Robert Mintz, a former federal prosecutor who is now in private practice in New Jersey and isn’t involved in the case. “It’s a critical admission because, if true, it transforms the payment into a criminal violation as opposed to simply a private transaction.” More: Cohen Gets Prison, Vows to Keep Helping Mueller’s Probe Under the Sept. 20 agreement, AMI won’t be prosecuted and must cooperate for three years. The deal marks a change of allegiances for one of Trump’s biggest supporters, AMI Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Pecker. Potentially a key witness for the government, Pecker has been a close friend of Trump and gave positive coverage to his campaign in the National Enquirer. A spokesman for the company declined to comment. The White House was also silent about the Cohen and AMI developments. On Twitter on Monday, Trump referred to a hush payment as a “simple private transaction, wrongly called a campaign contribution” and suggested that “even if it was, it is only a CIVIL CASE.” The government said in its agreement that AMI had “provided substantial and important assistance” to the prosecutors in New York. “AMI has made various personnel from AMI available for numerous interviews; engaged outside counsel to ensure the integrity of its compliance with and responses to subpoenas; and responded to numerous requests from prosecutors for various specific items of information.” In August 2015, Pecker met with Cohen and “at least one other member” of the Trump campaign, according to the agreement. “Pecker offered to help deal with negative stories about that presidential candidate’s relationships with women by, among other things, assisting the campaign in identifying such stories so they could be purchased and their publication avoided.” One deal was struck on Aug. 5, 2016, when AMI agreed to acquire the “limited life rights” of McDougal -- identified in the agreement as a “model and actress” -- including her story of her relationships with “any then-married man” in exchange for $150,000. That amount was substantially more than the company would otherwise pay because of Cohen’s assurances to Pecker that AMI would be “substantially reimbursed.” AMI admitted that its purpose was “to suppress the model’s story so as to prevent it from influencing the election,” according to the agreement. At no time did AMI intend to publish the story, and the company failed to report the $150,000 payment to McDougal to the Federal Election Commission, the company admitted. In late August 2016 and into September, Cohen told Pecker he wanted to pay $125,000 for the rights to McDougal’s story about her relationship with Trump, the company said. (Adds Trump tweet on Monday.)

https://www.foxnews.com/usOut of interest I went to see what State Run Fox News was saying about the Cohen conviction and all the breaking news that was revealed yesterday .... Can someone help me out? I have been unable to find ANY reference to Cohen's sentencing. I have found no reference to the new revelation that AMI/Inquirer have a deal in place that verifies the Trump campaign bought the story of Trump's mistresses to suppress the story so that it didn't negatively affect the election. We finally have proof of The Criminals actions and intents. They are corroborated by 3 different sources (not to mention any paperwork) .... and Fox and friends doesn't cover the story, not even to try to put some spin on it! Maybe this is the biggest indication yet that the goose is cooked and Trump is in serious jeopardy. And this has nothing to do with Russia ... yet.

https://video.foxnews.com/v/5978713906001/?#sp=show-clipsI did manage to find a link to this - which really only talks about the sentence. It does mention Cohen saying he covered up the POTUS dirty laundry - but doesn't discuss that just goes on to assassinate Cohen's character which isn't too hard considering.

Judge in Flynn case orders Mueller to turn over interview docs after bombshell claim of FBI pressureOne day after former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn's legal team made the bombshell allegation that the FBI had pushed him not to bring a lawyer to his fateful Jan. 24, 2017 interview with agents at the White House, the federal judge overseeing Flynn's criminal case is demanding answers from Special Counsel Robert Mueller. U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan ordered Mueller late Wednesday to turn over all of the government's documents and "memoranda" related to Flynn's questioning. The extraordinary demand puts Mueller under the microscope, and sets a 3:00 p.m. EST Friday deadline for the special counsel's office to produce the sensitive FBI documents. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/flynn-j...sured-by-agentsThey should make everything public on Mueller's operations so the American people can see how many times these people and their families were threatened. We would like to decide for ourselves if locking people in Solitary Confinement was justified. We the people would like to see how many stories witnesses told until they got it right and pleased Mueller. Transparency Please! Justice Demanded!

Why is this on a Cohen thread. Deep state and claims of gestapo tactics from Mueller because .... well because the 'Trumpers' don't like the way things are looking. The bad news is that it looks like Trump is going to get convicted without any Mueller investigation input.

No deflection, truth.
"I never directed Michael Cohen to break the law. He was a lawyer and he is supposed to know the law. It is called “advice of counsel,” and a lawyer has great liability if a mistake is made. That is why they get paid. Despite that many campaign finance lawyers have strongly stated that I did nothing wrong with respect to campaign finance laws, if they even apply, because this was not campaign finance. Cohen was guilty on many charges unrelated to me, but he plead to two campaign charges which were not criminal and of which he probably was not guilty even on a civil basis. Those charges were just agreed to by him in order to embarrass the president and get a much reduced prison sentence, which he did-including the fact that his family was temporarily let off the hook. As a lawyer, Michael has great liability to me!

1. What has your lost post got to do with the Mueller / Flynn post you inserted here as a deflection? 2. We talked recently about Trump not listening to legal counsel. 3. If it comes down to Trump's word versus the word of 3 others, paperwork and possibly audio .... Yeah I know you will still take Trump's word ! Enough already !

Ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen says Trump knew it was wrong to make hush-money payments during campaign By GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, ERIC AVRAM, ELIANA LARRAMENDIA JAMES HILL Dec 14, 2018, 7:41 AM ET PHOTO: Michael Cohen sits down for an interview with ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning America," Friday, Dec. 14, 2018.ABC News COMING UPTrump knew payments were wrong, Cohen says Email Donald Trump directed Michael Cohen to arrange hush-money payments with two women because then-candidate Trump “was very concerned about how this would affect the election” if their allegations of affairs became public, the president’s former personal attorney said in an exclusive interview with ABC News.
Cohen’s comments are his first since being sentenced earlier this week to three years in federal prison for financial crimes, lying to Congress and two campaign finance violations in connection with the deals with the women, Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels, who claim past affairs with Trump.
“I knew what I was doing was wrong,” Cohen told ABC News’ Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos. “I stood up before the world [Wednesday] and I accepted the responsibility for my actions.”

Cohen said he is “angry at himself” for his role in the deals, but that he did it out of “blind loyalty” to Trump.
(MORE: Cohen said Trump made him 'follow a path of darkness rather than light') “I gave loyalty to someone who, truthfully, does not deserve loyalty,” he said.
VIDEO: Cohen on Trump as president: Hes a very different individualPlay Cohen on Trump as president: 'He's a very different individual' Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York have implicated, but not charged, the president in the deals reached in the closing weeks of the 2016 election. They allege that Cohen acted “in coordination with and at the direction of” Trump, according to court filings. Prosecutors also reached a non-prosecution agreement with AMI, the publishers of the National Inquirer, in which the tabloid admitted to making a $150,000 payment to McDougal “in concert” with the Trump campaign.
The president has denied allegations of the affairs -- but has had shifting explanations about when he learned about the payments to the women. He has also contended that the deals were private and unrelated to the campaign and that if anything illegal occurred, it was Cohen’s responsibility.

“It is absolutely not true,” Cohen said. “Under no circumstances do I want to embarrass the president. He knows the truth. I know the truth.”
(MORE: Tabloid involved in Trump hush money payment reaches deal with federal prosecutors) Cohen was particularly distressed by another Trump tweet on Thursday, in which the president implied that prosecutors investigating Cohen had let his wife and father-in-law off the hook.
“Instead of him taking responsibility for his actions, what does he do?” Cohen said. “He attacks my family.”
And Cohen refuted the president’s contention that he never directed Cohen to do anything wrong.

He directed me to make the payments, he directed me to become involved in these matters.
“He knows the truth. I know the truth. Others know the truth,” Cohen continued. “And here is the truth: People of the United States of America, people of the world, don't believe what he is saying. The man doesn't tell the truth. And it is sad that I should take responsibility for his dirty deeds.”
(MORE: Trump denies he 'directed' Michael Cohen to break the law as prosecutors contend) When confronted about his convictions for lying to Congress and for tax evasion and banking crimes, Cohen said he was “done with the lying. I am done being loyal to President Trump and my first loyalty belongs to my wife, my daughter, my son and this country.”
“Why should we believe you now?” Stephanopoulos asked.
“Because the special counsel stated emphatically that the information that I gave to them is credible and helpful,” Cohen replied. “There’s a substantial amount of information that they possessed that corroborates the fact that I am telling the truth.”

He declined in the interview to answer specific questions about the Mueller investigation “out of respect for process.”
“I don’t want to jeopardize any of their investigations,” he said.
(MORE: Federal judge orders Stormy Daniels to pay Trump nearly $300K in legal fees) But when asked if he thinks the president is telling the truth about the Russia probe, Cohen replied simply, “No.”
Cohen once said he would “take a bullet” for the president, but now he finds himself opposing the president and facing the prospect of becoming a witness against him.
“It’s never good to be on the wrong side of the president of the United States of America, but somehow or another this task has now fallen onto my shoulders and as I also stated ... I will spend the rest of my life in order to fix the mistake that I made.”

“He’s a very different individual,” Cohen said. “I think the pressure of the job is much more than what he thought it was going to be. It’s not like the Trump organization where he would bark out orders and people would blindly follow what he wanted done. There’s a system here; he doesn’t understand the system and it’s sad because the country has never been more divisive and one of the hopes that I have out of the punishment that I’ve received as well as the cooperation that I have given I will be remembered in history as helping to bring this country back together.
“I will not be the villain of his story,” he said.

good god.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

feds gave flynn multiple opportunities to revise his statement, still decided to lie.
in a nutshell, when sanctions were placed on Russia under obama for interfering with the election, flynn got on the phone with russia to try and do damage control.
he lied to the feds about his conversation with sanctions with russia. the feds told him in advance that they were gonna ask him about that after the report dropped from the washington post.
he repeatedly the same lie.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
