I guess I am seeing a need a wr and OT about equal. The main issue is that any WR I would have wanted a little later in the draft was not part of the game. And it became a bpa situation. Had I been able to take a pick of Humphrey, Johnson or Butler later in the 3rd or early 4thi would have passed on Metcalf. And I probably don’t take a OT over Zach Allen. Definitely don’t take one over Williams at this point.

I've seen a few sites having us taking a WR in the first, which I would be okay with. But, I don't think Dorsey has ever committed that highly to one. I May be incorrect.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I haven't scouted much this year but it seems to me that the Er class iss a very deep class but light at the top. I don't see any going top 15 unless a team gets desperate and reaches. But I think there is going to be a lot of Wr talent available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds that are not far off that 1st receiver taken.

Sure we need a receiver but we need to keep points OFF the board first. We've scored some points with this WR corps and hopefully a few guys grow this offseason. We MUST improve the run D. D line and speedy, strong LB. Put the rest of the picks wherever.

A lot of interesting stuff about Quinnen Williams. If the strengths and Weaknesses list is remotely accurate I think he would be a great pick for the Browns. http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2019qwilliams.php

IF we can finish out this season giving up as few pressures and hits as we have been these past few games, we can pretty safely knock OT down our priority list.
Heck, with what we have, we can probably scratch it from the list altogether.
I think our biggest needs are LB, DT, WR, CB
Be it this Quinna Williams guy at DT or Devin White at LB, I want one of those two.... then, we should circle back to whichever of the two positions we didn't hit off the bat. After that, start looking at WR & CB to build depth.
The WR's we have are really starting to come on... they're granting us the luxury of not having to panic and press the issue (and there is free agency still, and players are gonna WANT to come here).
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

I think that Perriman and Callaway are quickly playing their ways into our long term plans.

I'm encouraged by Perriman; he's a definite keeper as a #4 WR IMO ... I'd be good with going after a STUD #1 type guy, and then keeping everyone else

Keep in mind that the city of Cleveland will not be a taboo destination for FAs anymore. The coaching decision weighs into that also imagine. We have cap space that might allow us to draft differently.

If the draft was today, I believe we'd be picking at 17. Look ma, we've moved into the fat, meaty, middle of the bell curve ... we're a competitive NFL team!

Very weird when I'm making my draft board, looking at 2nd and 3rd round prospects, to see who I'm going to watch next, and I keep saying "There's no way he'll be available in round 2." Hopefully gone are the days when we have a beacoup of picks in the top 65.

We really shouldn't pick in the top 10 for a long time. If we do, something went very wrong along the way.
The exception being if it was another team's pick. Ward and Chubb were once future picks from the Texans-- sometimes patience pays off.

Question for those who want to draft Devin White ILB LSU:
I won't despite that he is a very smart and talented player. But he is an ILB and Schobert has proven his value as Qb of the defense. What do we do with 2 ILB? Schobert showed that he is not an OLB (He started as an OLB before being moved inside and floundered there). Would the plan be to put White at an OLB position? Do we think he can play OLB at a high level?

IMO, Our biggest need is at DT.
However, we could go BPA and be just fine. Adding a CB, DE, OLB, LT/RT, or WR, would all be beneficial to help 'iron sharpen iron,' and to keep competition at a high level.
This is the first December in a VERY long time that I have not even looked into the upcoming draft class. Normally by this time, I have at least 1 mock draft. I haven't even touched a mock draft site! Times are changing!

I haven't even touched a mock draft site! Times are changing! I think we need a replacement for Ogbah more than we need a DT. He's a solid player, but he lacks bend and is not someone other teams have to account for off of the edge. I like it when we reduce Ogbah inside as he can be disruptive without needing to bend, and he is high effort. I think Coley can hold down the spot opposite Ogunjobi on running downs with Eman coming in in passing situations (and can play end in short yardage situations.) Montez Sweat is a guy that is "supposed" to be there in the mid-first and I'll have my microscope on. I like what I've seen on the field, and I'll be keeping an eye on him at the Senior Bowl. I just hope it doesn't make him rise too much. I'm still sifting through the DBs. I'm somewhat ambivalent to Greedy so far. He has skills, but made quite a few "business decisions." The Memphis LT is an OL I like who might be available a little later.
