You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.

I want to crush the Bengals, just because.

I want to ruin Baltimore's season.

I want Pittsburgh to lose to the Bengals so we have the best division record.

Earn league respect.

Stop the Browns jokes.

Feel good again. I remember the late 60s' and early 70's success, The Kardiac Kids years, Bernie. I want that back.

I forgot what it was like to be enthusiastic about this team this late in the year.

I totally agree with all of that thumbsup
I'm 62 and also remember 60s 70s and 80s browns football and teams fearing the browns coz we were gonna stomp a mudhole in their ass or just have Turkey Joe tombstone em and plant em head first in the dirt

I want all of tha for us, to end 2018. Even if we lose the last two games, this has been a lights out year.

Pride, and conference bragging rights. First, you curb-stomp the Bengals. Then you pound a spike in Baltimore's post season hopes. I offer up Tim Couch's finest moment as a Brown, when he waved bye-bye to Ravens' fans after ending their post season aspirations:

I want 2 more wins to build on next April, then I want another excellent FA and Draft to propel us into August, then I want a most excellent injury free preseason to springboard us into a Home Opener massive beatdown of the damned squealers.

This week: We rub it in Hue's face again.

Next week: We end Baltimore's season with a big fat L

Saw some tweets from cleveland sports radio personalities saying people were calling in saying the Browns should rest Mayfield in week 17 since we are likely to be eliminated this weekend.

That's ridiculous and sends a horrible message.

Also, I think it's great experience to get Baltimore in a must-win situation. It could work out where we could eliminate them, and that'd be great experience for a young team. Playing in a critical game like that.

We have a great chance at ending the year 8-7-1 which is remarkable considering we were 2-6-1 at one point.

I don't care about draft position anymore either. We have our QB, we don't need top picks. We can do whatever we want in the draft now. How amazing is that. We can just take the guy who we think will be the best pro, instead of having to work things so we can position ourselves to trade up for a QB.

Not to mention we can use the extra draft picks we've acquired to do like BB and swap up for next year when and as we feel it's best.

I love it. I was expecting at least a couple people to come on here and complain that winning out screws up our draft order.

In years past, there was no momentum to build on, no success to keep going, we knew that the coach was going to be fired or the GM or half the team was going to be cleared out.... and we were talking about drafting 4 or 5... or #1 overall.

Everything is different this year.. we have a solid foundation to build upon, whatever the coach decision is will be walking into a good situation instead of a talent void.... plus, losing both and draft at 9 isn't much better than winning both and drafting at 15...

My boss at the time HATED Tim Couch. I gave him that booblehead. He acted like he hated it...but it remained on his desk til he was re-assigned. smile

I was going to say, of course that is a flag now...then I saw the flag thrown...lol unfortunately those years before the NFL Ticket did see some games at bars with Satellite.

But I had to do all my Fandom stuff by looking at the Box Scores and use my imagination visualizing stuff. Also the two sentences in their NFL review at the local papers.

Of course after ESPN I would get to see highlights and I couldn't wait for Monday Night Football with the 2 minutes provided by Howard Cosell of all the games from Sunday!

So I heard about the Turkey Jones destruction of Bradshaw but never viewed it till the internet and these Boards started to exist! For me it was 2001.

Agreed, every situation is different.

I want to see the Browns win some games. Build something special. Show coaches and free agents we're for real.

Now if a team is 3-11 and needs a quarterback, they might see it differently..

'They can get out'..... how great is that??

We've needed a brash QB who can back up his mouth with his play.

And now we have one.

While getting gas at Kroger's today the guy across the pump from me was wearing a Brown's Game Day Knit Cap.
I had on my Field Cap and we started talking shop.
Went into the store and saw more people in Dawg Gear!
More of us than the people wearing Bungles Gear for sure.

Play to finish the statement you have started.

A divisional record of 4-1-1 announced a sea change in the pecking order.

Might as well start next year's dominance this year.

I was in a mall here a couple of days ago picking up a Christmas gift for my wife, I walked passed a young lady pushing her small child and saw she was wearing a Browns sweatshirt. I gave her a thumbs up and said, Go Browns, she smiled, a real big smile. Browns fans are everywhere.

When 1/2 our coaching staff got sent packing mid-season, I was really at a low point. All I could see was more turmoil, heartache and dysfunction. Same ol' Browns. I had minimal interest because Mayfield had been putting up some pretty average-looking performances (because he was being improperly used), and what can a team do with half its coaching staff gone?

Well.... if these guys win out and Dorsey has another draft like he's had... I may just 'Michael Phelps' my way over there (we don't need no stinkin' boat...) wink

Around here in Springfield, the Browns gear is out year round. Bengals win a few, they have colors everywhere. Right now, the Kroger stores are like the official warehouse for NFL Bengals gear, and it isn't selling, even with Christmas coming. Sad. PS They do not offer Browns gear here where we shop. Love Kroger and the Browns. Just sayin'.

What is there to play for?

This team could go from winless last year, and a 1-31 record over the last 2 seasons ...... to a winning record this year. (8-7-1, if they win out)

That's huge, and a great incentive, I would think.

The continued maturation of Baker Mayfield, Chubb and a few others is plenty to play for. Possibly, IF we had a decent, young back up QB I'd consider him getting some garbage time. Mayfield has shown that he puts his time on the field to good use by learning from every minute of it. Play on Baker!

Has anyone mentioned anything about playing for Baker? Browns QB Baker Mayfield NFL Rookie of the year sounds pretty damn good. Something to play for. Just a thought.

The short comment is strange. We all see what Drew Brees and Russell Wilson have done in their careers. Obviously you don't have to be 6'4" to be a great QB in this league.

All else being equal, I'd rather have the taller guy too. Easier to see over linemen, less batted balls, clearer line of sight for the receivers. Sometimes the taller guys have bigger frames and can hold up better to the NFL game.. not always though.

All else is rarely equal though, and each of these guys have unique skill sets and leadership qualities.

QB evaluation should start with decision-making and accuracy, not height and arm strength.

I like it.. not a bad way to start a career.

When all as said and done, I think this guy will be a Super Bowl MVP.
