...not that anybody really gives a rats ___ but I was offered a new job today (as the title suggests). I interviewed for a particular job about two and a half months ago and had a second interview about six weeks ago.....I did not get the job I interviewed for so I thought I was done....well this morning I get a call from the director of human resources and they offered me a different job (a better one.) I was totally shocked, seeing that I didn't even express interest in the position. Well I accepted the offer and now I just have to "pass" a background check and a drug test (which has to be taken within 32 hours of the offer...I scheduled it for tomorrow at noon) If all works out I will become one of "them"...thats right I will be a certified card carrying state worker!!! I will be working for the Secretary of State in the Elections Department. Well I just thought I would share my good news with my fellow Dawgs.

Hey, Congrats! Nothing like getting a good job! We'll keep our fingers crossed for that drug test!

Congratulations! I just did the whole new job thing recently, had the background check and the drug test too. It was hell going without crack for a week.

You couldn't have had a background check.. nobody called me to ask for a reference.

It went pretty well for it being the second interview. I met with the Vice President. I don't think I ever had a job where I interviewed with someone so high up before. I found it odd.
But hey, smaller companies I guess do these kinds of things. They are going to make me an offer next week. Hope it was worth my while!
