I know ultimate homer statement but how can you not argue the phenomenal job he has done IF we win on Sunday?
Only coach that I can see who has a bigger turnaround is the Bears coach.
Thoughts?

I don't think an interim HC is a candidate..None have one won yet.
Matt Nagy has done one heck of a job in Chicago...
Sean McVay has done a great job ...
Sean Payton has done a great job....
Andy Reid has done a great job...
Anthony Lynn has done a great job...
Frank Reich...Bill O'Brian..
Lots of coaches are taking their team to the play-offs...Those coaches will get the most looks...
Maybe if GW started off the season as HC and took the Browns to the Play offs then yes I could see it..
GW did a great job helping the Browns win...I don't see a coach of the year candidate vote for him though.

He has to look great when following the worst head coach in the history of football.

I'd say we just didn't have him enough

He has to look great when following the worst head coach in the history of football. Haha. My guess is from a list of Pete Carroll, Andy Reid, Frank Reich, and Sean McVey.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

I don't think Gregg has done quite enough. Usually, a coach of a playoff team gets coach of the year.
I think he's done plenty to warrant being our HC moving forward, though.

If Gregg Williams won Coach of the Year, Hue Jackson would take credit for it. I'll say Frank Reich.

Didn't Bruce Arians win Coach of the Year when serving as an Interim Head Coach in Indianapolis ?

I dunno if there has ever been circumstances as odd as this year when looking at COY candidates.
0-16 last year
The Team fired an incompetent liar of a HC and whacko OC in mid-season
Took over wildly dysfunctional team filled with youth and inexperience
Rookie QB that many proclaimed to be a too-short, no-armed jerk who can't make pre or post snap reads and can't throw into tight windows and now looks like a top 10 QB already
Team now looks like a bottom tier PLAYOFF team rather than a bottom-tier-of-the-NFL team.
What coach dealt with anything like that and not only kept the ship afloat...but significantly turned the tide?

That would really be something, and he certainly deserves at least consideration for the job he's done. But I doubt it.
