Does anyone have a link to Dorsey's presser?
It is not up on the homepage or on YouTube yet.

All I know is nobody had a CLUE about Dorsey's draft for months ... there were rumors and innuendo every single minute ... I have to think the HC hire will be the same sort of thing until a decision is actually made Except there are now people outside the organization involved.

I meant the coaches being interviewed. Coaches (and their agents) want their names to be out there.

If you haven't seen it yet, Dorsey had a presser this morning. Man this guy knows how to keep his cards close to the vest LOL
Anyway, he did say that Williams will be interviewed tomorrow, he also said that Freddie will be interviewed but didn't specify when.
He said they both deserved the interview and that he wants to let things shake out a little. He's got his eye on a few guys... I thought I heard him say 5,,, Could be wrong so don't hold me to that. And if I'm right, I don't know if Williams and Kitchens are part of that 5.
He's meeting with the Coaching staff and Player personnel people to review what targets are needed in terms of players for next season.
He also said he'd tell us that...We'll see about that. Like I said, he doesn't let much out.

Perhaps those contacted for interviews know and surely their agents, but the decision makers are members of the Browns Org only. That's per Dorsey this morning.

I want no part of the Belichek tree. especially any DC, we all know who runs that defense.. Give me someone from the Andy Reid tree or Holmgren tree..i realize Reid is in both..lol In my mind there is no Belichek tree. Off the top of my head I can't think of a coach under Bill who has gone another place and been successful who weren't well known before.

The Belichick stump is alive and well in New England and that's it. Belichick hasn't created a legacy outside of himself.

Hearing former Packers coach Mike McCarthy will be the next head coach of the Browns. This is why we can't have nice things.

Obviously I still have shell shock from Mangini and RAC. But Flores will fulfill the Rooney rule. He'll also eventually get hired by someone, so it'll be interesting to hear his thoughts on our team.

After watching this morning's Dorsey press conference, I got the sense that Gregg is not really being considered as a serious candidate and Kitchens has a better shot than GW.

It felt like he was saying... Freddie deserves a token interview for his efforts I don't think both have as much of a chance than someone from the outside, and I think Kitchens is favored higher than Gregg, primarily because of his innovation offensively and that Baker seems to like him. That said, I think there is some apprehension about whether or not Kitchens is ready. I felt after it was over that Williams has a very little chance of coming back. When Dorsey led with "We'd like to thank William for everything he's done.....", it had a sense of finality to it, I thought. But maybe not.

I did not get a 'warm-n-fuzzy' feeling regarding GW even though Dorsey was very complimentary. I respect the fact that Dorsey wants to turn over every rock in the search for the guy who is best for the organization, but my takeaway is that it very well may not be GW...

Funny how people look at the same thing and come out hearing two different things.
Dorsey made clear what he is looking for. A leader of men to net it out.
He has been very clear all along what kind of man. What we do not know is who fits that?
He wants to hear what Kitchens and Williams have to say and how they say it. He mentioned that "we" need to know him (Kitchens)better. Kitchens was a surprise from the standpoint that nobody knew what he could do.
I have never felt it would be GW.

... there is some apprehension about whether or not Kitchens is ready. I certainly feel that way. FK seems to be a fine tactician but is he a strategist? Does he possess at this (early) point in his career all the necessary qualities to be a HC? I don't know, but expect likely not...

Sounds like he would blame other guys for Tannehills faults.
Always a popular move in the locker room.

Dorsey has a ton of leverage at this point. If Haslam does something that makes him uncomfortable with this search, he should threaten to resign. The problem is Haslam would probably say "see ya".

So far we’ve requested permission to interview Dan Campbell, Brian Flores, and Josh McDaniels. Am I missing anyone?

j/c and I haven't read the last dozen or so posts
We keep posting the opinions of this writer or that about who is or is not the leading candidate. I have to wonder, where are they getting that info? Dorsey runs a tight ship, and as we saw with the Condi Rice rumor, he tests his staff to make sure it's tight. So we have one guy speculating that Depo has more say than we thought, another guy speculating that McDaniels is the front runner, and several saying Williams isn't really in the running.
How do any of them know? To me, it's all speculation and hearsay. This is not the draft. Agents and coaches from outside the organization are involved. They are going to leak stuff. They might leak who was been invited for an interview, but my point is that none of them know who Dorsey favors, because Dorsey keeps that stuff close. These writers keep saying stuff like they have inside information.
