Clay deserved to be in over at least 5 guys on that list, IMO

I think he deserved to be over almost every single guy on that list.

I wont argue against that. I said at least 5, but I would make the case for more.

I mean the fact that the guy played every LB spot, and excelled at every LB spot.

When he played outside he would lead team in sacks, when he would play inside he would lead the team in INT and tackles. lol He was insane to be that good, no matter what they asked him to do.

couple that with doing it for what 20 years? And he wasn't just an old guy hanging on his last years either, he was still very productive in his last year. And we are talking about playing 20 years in a different type of NFL, where hitting was allowed, and thinking about your body was secondary. To stay healthy and play that long, in itself is miracle.

Reply to Ms Matthews: you should get your brother and uncle Bruce to start pushing more also get on Tony Grossi to be more vocal.We also need the surviving members of our elected HOF members to start making more noise. These voters to me are mouth pieces for the over hyped poster boys. Your dad played and excelled at all LB positions and all the different schemes asked to play whereas the majority of the finalist (players) played one position,one scheme. It's a travesty your dad,Dick Schafreth,Gary Collins and Jim Ray Smith have not been elected.
