As with any poll I don't like being boxes in, particularly on questions that are polarizing like "Are immigrants bad or good" because there is a nuanced answer that says it can be both. In some areas the below is correct and some are over simplified.


I am a "New Era Enterpriser".

That's where I scored as well, but I do not like how the questions were asked and that there were only two options. But whatever, it's just a poll.

SOLID LIBERALS
Highly educated and politically engaged, Solid Liberals hold consistently liberal values. They back a robust role for government and are strong advocates of the social safety net. Large majorities view the current economic system as unfair and see economic inequality as a major problem. They take broadly positive views of immigrants, and fully 99% think being open to people from around the world is an essential part of the nation’s identity. Most say more needs to be done to address both racial discrimination and obstacles to women’s achievement. They support same-sex marriage and believe homosexuality should be accepted by society. Solid Liberals are the most Democratic of all typology groups: nearly two-thirds (64%) identify as Democrats, another 35% lean toward the Democratic Party.

Why do y'all get the cool names?

I was no fan of the two option answers. Not enough variance or subtly to answer questions on such complex issues. That said this was my result.

Opportunity Democrats... along with 12% of the public.
Democratic-leaning and financially comfortable, Opportunity Democrats have liberal attitudes on most issues including the environment, immigration and homosexuality. They stand out from other Democratic groups in their strong belief that hard work is enough for most people to get ahead and for being somewhat less likely to see structural barriers facing blacks and women. They are supportive of U.S. engagement abroad and involvement in global markets.

.... I didn’t like the phrasing of the ‘structural barriers for race or women’ answers. The questions about US ‘engagement abroad’ didn’t differentiate the difference between our policy of bombing freedom into countries with resources we’re looking to steal, and engagement through diplomacy or trade.
So I take these types of polls but know they’re too small a snapshot to define me. Or anyone else for that matter.

Core Conservative=13% also known as a person who can take care of himself and his family.

CORE CONSERVATIVES
This overwhelmingly Republican group spends all day inventing lurid horror stories about trans people in bathrooms, and watching hours of doughy men with melon heads who frighten them into thinking MS-13 is going to take over their local P.F. Chang’s. Core Conservatives spend an exhausting amount of time trying to pretend that a racist con man in the throes of dementia is actually a competent businessman. They are often tricked by chain e-mails titled “Re: FWD:FWD:FWD: ROBIN WILLIAMS SAYS LIBERALISM IS A DISEASE” into thinking things like Barack Obama is a closet homosexual, or that Hillary Clinton runs a child sex dungeon in the basement of a pizza parlor

Critical of many major institutions and government, Market Skeptic Republicans mostly identify with, or lean toward, the GOP. On the graph, I was towards the left.


I didn't like the wording on many of the questions. I might have answered differently had the wording been different.

The question on Immigrants was one. One question was do they help the country, the other was do they drag down the country.

I had to say drag down , even though I don't feel that way about legals....the question total ignored the problem with illegals.


Another question shouldn't have been on there in the first place, it was about do corporations make too much profit.


First, it's really nobody's concern, and second, that is what corporations are supposed to do, make profit. There is no such thing as too much.

That's like saying the girl is to pretty, the food is to good, or you have to much money in your wallet. None of that exists in my world.
