I read an article on Dawg Pound Daily suggesting that Benny Logan could make sense for the Browns. He's 29, he can anchor, he has a history with Dorsey and he should be willing to sign a reasonable contract. He wouldn't solve the whole DL problem but he could add some solid depth.

I don't see McCoy happening. A lot of teams will be interested, and if you use 2018 FA as a guide, Dorsey is gonna hit the position multiple times with mid-level guys, then follow up with a draftee. I'm thinking it'll be 2 of the following:
Jay Bromley Clinton McDondald Quinton Jefferson Shamar Stephen David Irving Roy Robertson-Harris Dominique Easley Darius Philon
Browns fans are born with it...

Now we are competitive, its time to bring in guys that are going to put us over the top.

Yet if you look at signings like Perriman and Robinson it seems he can find those players without selling the farm. Sometimes it's more about how a player fits in your scheme than it is about everyone thinking they're great. Signing someone everyone already knows is stud is one thing and it's costly. Finding a stud nobody knew was a stud is what the great one's do. Dorsey is one of the great one's.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Because he is released, we can sign him up now no need to wait. Of course let our DC and DL coach get a little comfortable first then get McCoy on board.
Lets all get Dangerous, not just Baker

pit, I hope we keep the selling of farmland to a minimum. to me you go in with big bucks when you see yourself with a small window of opportunity and want to take advantage of it. then it makes sense to go after the top level free agents. I see us patterning ourselves after New England , having success over the long haul, being consistently successful for years. I do not think you do that by relying on overpaid, highly priced free agents. Let’s keep doing what we have been doing, drafting well , growing as a team with just a small number of moderately priced free agents. we have had two solid and one spectacular draft classes. Let’s keep doing that.

@31 it's doubtful that we will pay big money that he will mostlikely be looking for, but he could help dilute the pool for DTs' in the Draft.

Let’s keep doing that. This is my thought process as well. It wouldn't surprise me to see Dorsey sign maybe one big name player. But when you look at guys like Perriman and Robinson, it seems he has a knack for finding players thrown to the scrap heap that just fit and perform well. That very much reminds me of how BB operates in N. England. Vers has a nice theory about the three year window on a QB's rookie deal. I too have seen some of that being done. But for the most part QB's don't truly come into their own until year three. Baker has played great for a rookie, but he also has his moments where he throws multiple int's. and has a brain fart here and there. That's just part of being a rookie. The good has far outweighed the bad but in all seriousness, I don't think he's ready to take us to a championship..... yet. That's why I think the method we agree on makes the most sense. At least for now.

We gotta get that Pierre Desir guy. I don't know if you guys watched a lot of Colts game, but him and a guy named Jabaal Sheard really tore it up this year. I wonder where they got those guys from. They can play ball.

I think we will sign either Tyrelle Williams or John Brown at WR. Both?
DT:
Grady Jarret or Malcolm Brown (not sure which scheme fit).
Beyond that, I'd be surprised at an outright signing. We may try to trade for a Malcontent or a team that wants out of a deal.

BPG...
Grady Jarret will not be let go, and in fact the word is they are looking to do the same as us, pair a 2nd talent with their stud DT.
Malcolm Brown, i don't know. They've collected some real NT types on their squad, which we don't really want. That said, I haven't watched Pats D, so I don't really know how he was used.

Very possible they re-sign him, they aren't ion bad shape cap wise, but they aren't in great shape either.

That's funny, because I thought that they where moving to a 3-4, thus the lack of need for a 3t is why they might let him go, that coupled with his cap savings.
