NPR report discussed the same thing ... this isn't something Cohen came up with to save his skin, it was something the investigators had some evidence of and Cohen confirmed ....

Let the facts come out. They will speak for themselves. This rush to judgement on one article which is incomplete and does not lay all the facts out (nor should it) ... is silly.

Cohen's office and house was raided by the FBI. Every document and tape in both locations was taken into evidence by the FBI. Before the raids, one tape was even released, so we know there are tapes.

One thing that can't really be questioned is that Trump is a very shady character. Does that mean he's a criminal? That could go either way. But one thing I do know is this. The FBI has a boat load of evidence. And in the end, my money is on the actual answer to that will be found in the evidence they garnered when they raided Cohen's office and home.

It leads me to believe that Cohen is telling the truth at this point because I don't think he has a choice since the FBI already knows the truth.

I still haven't seen a single place verify the report - someone posted saying something was from drudge... I looked at drudge and its just a link to buzz feeds article.

looks like we are going to have to wait for more information to be verified, I certainly am not taking a single report as gospel at this point.

Hmmm... Let's wait and see. Mueller didn't say the premise was wrong, the statement said "specific"... Meaning the essence might be accurate but the exact quote or statement might bff be off.

Buzzfeed standing by their reporting. I think the issue is in some specific. Rare response from special counsel's office makes me think this report hit a nerve. There has been a ton of false reports (Fox News) and never a peep from team Mueller. So I think this needs a thorough investigation in the house.

My question is how many times have the media went bonkers and reported fake news as facts? At what point should their media credentials get revoked for getting stories wrong and reporting incorrect information?

This is at least 4 or 5 times since Trump became President. In the past reporting like this ended careers like Dan Rather. It is time these bad reporters either lose their credentials or the media outlets that spew these fake news reports as facts no longer should have rights as a free press.

Everyone is free to make their own decision. My bet,and I'm happy to put money on this, when the factors finally come out, I'm 100% convinced the story is more right than wrong .... Trump asked and agreed on white pie Cohen would tell.while.he was under oath... The SPECIFICS of how exactly it was stated in the masterstroke might vary slightly which enabled Mueller to issue a technically correct statement ...

I will admit this Fake News story is a good start for year 3 of your "Get Trump" crap.

Buzzfeed is not a reliable news source and never will be. Anyone who uses anonymous sources and does not disclose them is not reliable. The anonymous source could be me, their mom, their brother or sister, a raccoon they saw in the street. Its scared and quick buck artist reporting. Not up to journalistic standards. TO ABC's credit, they at least said it hasn't been confirmed by them when they reported it.

If it says "anonymous source" this means there may not even be a real person. Until there's a real name on the record its highly suspect. When will people learn?

I can agree with you part way. But no high road in this because you choose to trash Buzzfeed like this to protect Trump like he has some high road. This mornings papers had a number of WH stories with quotes, AP and others other than Buzzed, filled with anonymous quotes and comments not permitted to do so for the reported stories. Much should be questioned for America's sake. But making the other person wrong doesn't make you right.

Buzzfeed stands by its reporting, Mueller's team's statement did not say there was no truth to the story whatsoever, they merely said all of the statement was not 100% accurate. What does that mean? Could mean they cited a wrong source, got something minor wrong or they are wrong all together... Either way, it's very significant and we won't know what it means without further investigation.

It's not just automatically reduced to a GOPer talking point of Fake News.

Not at all. We need more specifics. What exactly Mueller's team did not agree with would be helpful. If Buzzfeed made errors or reported false allegations then have at it, but let's make sure we are not talking about the dotting of Is or crossing of Ts.

Plus Cohen is trying to save his own skin by throwing Trump under the bus.

Why it matters: Former House Speaker Newt Gingrish tweeted it's "Time to rethink" if the Mueller-led investigation will be fair, given their donation history. But Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller, said he sees no problem with the donations.

James Quarles: Donated almost $33,000 to Democrats, including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. He has also donated about $2,750 to Republicans — the only lawyer on Mueller's team to have done so.

Jeannie Rhee: Donated more than $16,000 since 2008 to Democrats, including the maximum donation possible to Clinton in both 2015 and 2016. Rhee has also donated to Obama.

Andrew Weissmann: Donated more than $4,000 to Obama in 2008 and $2,000 to the DNC in 2006.
