Yea it's probably an incompetence problem by the officials but it does make you wonder. I bet the NFL loves that a team from the second biggest market in the country is in the SB.

You know the NFL would love to see the Pats in the SB also. we will see how many calls go the Pats way.

They ought to make any call, or non call, reviewable, and whistles on clear recovery turnovers should be disregarded.

Makes me nervous to think if the Browns are playing a team from a bigger market in the AFC Championship game, like the Jets for instance, how many calls would go against them?

what a game!

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

In that kind of match up, you have to make sure you beat the living schnikees out of them. If its not close they can't cheat.

Third down or not should have been a first down and the clock could have been run off. I had no horse in this race so I eally don't care, but watching a call cost a team the game is unacceptable.

This is the question I keep asking. Is it incompetence or corruption? These flagrant, easy to see, game/season changing calls and non-calls are so prevalent, happening so often, at such critical junctures, across such a wide spectrum, that it seems to defy the odds of mere incompetence. Over the years it seems to have become more targeted and more influential in the outcomes. We are seeing such an unprecedented number of occurrences with critical influence, they appear to be strategic. If it's not corruption, they're hiring functional morons. Bottom line, it's disgusting, whatever the reason.

What is interference?

How can a ref witness that play and not throw a flag?

Mind boggling.

Never seen a more obvious penalty.

What can be said about that? How is that justifiable?

Teams should get review flags that can be thrown at anytime on any type of play call or no call.

Brady's only pass threats are RBs, Edelman, and Gronk. No deep threat. Gordon really screwed them over too.

He screwed himself over too. He could be in this game, one game away from a Superbowl.

Is it a case of being bad at their job, or is it blatant bias? Sometimes I wonder.

I'll never root for a carpetbagging team, with a greedy owner, that screwed its fans over repeatedly.

I'm no Patriots fan, but it's tough to root for the Rams IMO

I was wondering something.

The Partiots are good, don't get me wrong, but the regular season and the post season are different animals. First you have to get to the post season.

The AFC-E is weak, and has been for almost all of New England's reign. It's almost like they have 17 weeks to hone their game, because they pretty much were a shoe in to win the division every year. Good for 4-6 wins every year.

It's not like they encountered many times where they were in a fight for the division title in December.

Like I said, they ARE a good team, but would they be as apparently dominant if they were facing teams like Green Bay, New Orleans, Carolina 6 times a season?

I don't think this is about ratings or market size. I think it is more about proving the NFL right for allowing LA to get football again AND solidifying that base.

N.O. was the feel-good story a few years ago and now the NFL has deemed it to be LA.

What a shame the refs watching in NY can't review calls like this!!!!

Terrible officiating.. How the hell did that ref miss that call.. HOW?

Recognizing that things on the field happen in a blink of an Eye, But to have it so there is no recourse for something like this freaks me out..

I can't imagine what I'd be like if it were the Browns that got robbed like that.
