Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

It's about loving the game rather than one side of the ball. When you try to focus on the glitz you lose sight of the team as a whole.

Incredible accomplishment by the Patriots.

Belichick is a master of defensive game planning.

It is easy to hate the Pat's but I respect their excellence.

I enjoyed the game, too. Each possession meant something. The game could have swung so easily on just one big play by either team. That sounds dramatic to me. I don't need 100 points to enjoy a football game.

Pretty decent game last night. I get that people are going overboard with ripping the game, because it wasnt high scoring, but I thought the defense was top notch on both sides. I'm a little disappointed in the Rams offense overall, because they looked unprepared to start the game, and then again looked like they made no adjustments after halftime.

I do think that phantom holding call on the Rams as they had found a bit of rhythm really set them back, but they had so many opportunities to do something and did almost nothing with it.

Brady made the plays near the end of the game that he always makes. I don't think we will see a huge decline in his game, going into retirement, I just think one day he won't be able to do it anymore. He's definitely not the same QB he was 10 years ago, but he can still be good for next year. Eventually Father Time gets everyone, but not quite yet with Tom. I do really wonder how that thing in New England is going to end. Do Tom and Bill go at the same time? Is there a bit of a stalemate between who blinks first? I kinda think Bill wants to stick around after Brady has retired just to show everyone that he can still win.

Julian Edelman is becoming the Robert Horry of the NFL. That guy is a nightmare when the postseason arrives.

The halftime show was complete garbage. Maroon 5 is a horrible selection. I get that they aren't trying to cater to football fans with the Super Bowl halftime show, and they want to play it safe with who they select, but that band is straight garbage.

The music I mostly listen to would never even be considered, and I truthfully don't care, but the reactions last night were pretty hilarious. Musical performances mixed in with sports are mostly garbage anyways. Prince killed it in 2007, but otherwise I don't think any of these recent performances have been noteworthy.

I don't really hate the Patriots like everyone else. I am kinda sick of seeing them, and if it can't be the Browns, I'd like to see teams up there that have not been there, or haven't won it, etc..

I just can't stand Boston fans. The Patriots and what they have done for 17 years fell into the hands of the worst possible fan base. So obnoxious.

Gladys Knight did an amazing job on the national anthem, still has an unbelievable voice, and she looked amazing.

I dunno, I just think it will be a lot more exciting for all of us next year when it's the Browns taking on some weak NFC opponent brownie

I never thought I would say this. But really one boring game. Defense played well but really nearly fell asleep but that is just me. Just am sick and tired of seeing the Pats in there.

I liked the game.

It was tied in the fourth quarter, every possession was huge, there was some great defensive play. I actually thought it was a really good game.

Better than a blowout SB that's over early.

I liked the game also. It was pretty undecided well into the 4th quarter.

This game again showed me the NFL is still the same game. All the talk about how it is now a passing league. But once again, the team that could run the ball and played the best defense won.

It seemed to me that while everyone is on the "passing" league kick, it was still very evident, all season, that the top teams in the league all featured a very good running game. RBs still make a difference in this league while many try to discount their worth.

Interesting. I did not come away w/the same impression. I didn't think the running game dominated. I thought the defenses dominated.

My impression was that when everyone is going ga-ga over McVay and trying to hire his assistants and guys that are similar to him and also saying that offense is ruling the league and that it is a fallacy that defense wins championships..............well, defense prevailed in this game and both offenses were inept.

Thus, my biggest take-aways were that defense is still very important and that experience still matters.

If either team's run game had been dominating, it wouldn't have been 3-3 in the fourth.
Great planning and execution on the part of both Ds.

I agree with you. The defenses were what made the game. Still Michel had some crucial runs near the end that helped. I'm not saying that the running game in this instance was the difference, but if NE wouldn't have stopped the Rams from running the game would have been different. The Rams for all the scoring they do, Gurley has been the key to their success IMO.

Defense still wins championships. The only point I was trying to make is how many feel you don't need a strong run game in the NFL anymore. I say, look what happened to the Rams when their running game, one of the best in the league, was stopped.

It's just that guys like Kamara, Zeke, Bell, and Gurley are still difference makers. RBs are not as irrelevant as many make them out to be nowadays.

But I will say it again defense STILL wins championships.

I agree w/all of that. You're right............while it has become more of a passing league, the run game is still very, very important.

It's a one play at a time league. I know they say it about corners, but it's true for every position: You have to forget what happened the last play. Goff and Brady both got rattled. Goff stayed rattled. Brady refocused, adjusted, and moved on.

I think Baker's ability to never seem to blink will serve him, and us, well. A studly D to go with him wouldn't hurt, either.

That's the difference between a vet QB and a 3rd year QB; experience and it showed on Sunday. Also, as far as the running game is concerned, I still feel you need one even if it's become a passing league. You can use the run to set up your passing game and at some point you will need to run to kill the clock or if the weather is bad especially in January in the playoff's. JMO

It is, I agree. The biggest difference seems to be that coaches used to pound the ball and pound the ball to try to establish a run to set up the pass.. this is no longer necessary. With the short passing game, many teams now use the pass to open up the run... but any team who can't do both with at least some level of success, is going to have a very hard time winning consistently.

But it was over early, it was over before it ever started because the Bible foretold the winner in Daniel 8:7 - The goat charged furiously at the ram and struck him, breaking off both his horns. Now the ram was helpless, and the goat knocked him down and trampled him. No one could rescue the ram from the goat's power.
