(CNN)The New York Times published a 4,536-word opus on President Donald Trump's two-year-long (and running!) attempt to thwart the multiple investigations into his 2016 presidential campaign and its ties to Russia.
Basically Trump been busy obstructing justice and spreading propaganda at every turn. McCabe is trouncing Trump this week, now this? Bad week for the traitorous scumbag in the White House!

Barr had said that if someone tried to obstruct justice, he'd resign... He was referring to Trump. This was during the hearings for his conformation.
So I guess I just don't agree with you, I think he's trying to distract as much as possible, playing to his base, telling them he's innocent.
And, perhaps he is. I mean, I doubt it, but it could be that he's innocent.
If he is, Mueller has been hailed as brilliant and honest and fair by those on both sides of the isle, so, if that's the case, let it play out. Trump should shut up and do his job. If he's innocent, it will come out that way with a guy like Mueller overseeing the case.

I think he's trying to distract as much as possible, playing to his base, telling them he's innocent.
But therein lies his miscalculation. His base is not in control of his immediate fate. Trained professional investigators are... and they don't get distracted.
All his misdirection and histrionics accomplish nothing in his defense against these ongoing investigations. They will continue apace no matter what he says to his base. And the other half of the miscalculation? They are just as powerless as he is. There is nothing for them to do but watch this all go down in slow-motion while they cry "Witch hunt!"
Frankly, I don't know why all of this comes as a surprise to anyone who has known this dude's name for the past 30 years. Feds, DC Circuit, SDNY- ALL of them are on his tail for decades of acting like rules don't apply to him. In the private sector, a skeeve like him can get away with much. But a public official? I wouldn't be embarrassed as a conservative. Many of us understand that there's a huge difference between being a conservative and supporting Trump.
As I've said before, I disagree with some of the conservative platform. I also disagree with some of the liberal platform. Neither extreme really represents me. But I respect true conservatives who are unwilling to promote a man like Trump. I respct a true conservative that sticks up for their beliefs and values. Most of which Trump flies in the face of. I've always been moderate in my political beliefs, but right now, being associated with republicans, because of the nature of the right at this point in time, is frankly embarrassing.
