My comment on this before I sign back out....if the authorities knew some of these women were sex slaves, some underage, why did they not rescue them immediately?

This is damn good point. I almost hate commenting on threads like this because it's so easy to have your words misconstrued, but again, you raise a great point.

If we look at the order of importance in regards to what law enforcement should prioritize, how would you guys rank them. [Terrible syntax, but I've been up since 2:15 A.M. and cut down 3 trees today. I'm tired.]

Here's my order:

1. Save the sex slaves. Remove them immediately from the premises.

2. Go after the people who forced these females into this trade and are exploiting them.

3. Arrest the dumb schmucks who happen to be on site the day of the sting.

I'd rank them as you did. Most people would, I imagine.

I wonder if they delayed sting is to catch a few big names that will scare others away from using the next one that pops up. And I'm only guessing, but by stopping the sex shop on a random day, they save the victims, but might not get the ringleaders and that star John to parade around for the public.

And Vers, like you, this thread is just too gross to touch. However, I'll comment a bit more...the first thing that came to mind when I heard his name and these charges, how he was parading that 30-something girlfriend less than year after his wife of 30+ years passed. Sure, it was 9-10 months after her passing, but I don't know. I'm not judging him because he's his own man and we don't know what his late wanted him to do after she died, but it just seemed sleazy. With him frequenting establishments like this seems to cement that initial feeling of mine.

On PTI today, Tony said this is the beginning of the end for his ownership of the Pats. I wasn't sure at first, but I think he's right. This will tumble out of control and stain the franchise enough that he'll "step down" to give control to his son. He'll still be around to help run the team behind the scenes, but his name won't be the checks anymore.

More info is coming out in this case. Some things I have read.

--Kraft pleaded not guilty.

--Kraft did not have sex w/any of the girls who were part of the trafficking.

--Kraft had sex w/the manager of the facility and another employee.

--Kraft went back and received a massage while he was face down. He was turned over and two different acts were performed on him. Thus, it's kinda hard to say he "solicitated" it.

--Legal experts are saying the case is weak for several reasons.

--Legal experts are saying the local police mishandled the investigation and were intent on embarrassing men instead of stopping a crime. This sting went on for several months.

So................like I said earlier, it is best to wait before jumping to conclusions.

With all of that said...........if I were advising Mr. Kraft, I would suggest that he express shock and outrage that the facility is part of a sex trafficking ring and that he is starting a foundation and donating bit-time money to fight against sex trafficking. Be a human being and the public perception is likely to change.

Yep, the two women he was filmed having encounters with were 45 and 58 years old. They sure made it sound like the case was stronger than that.

I wish I could post the article I read, but I'm afraid I would get suspended because of some of the language.

I think Kraft will get off because the police were out of line. Folks will complain that he got off because of his money, but I don't think that is true.

However, I still think it would be wise for Kraft to say he is sickened that he visited a place that dealt in human trafficking and that he wants to make a difference by starting a foundation and donating substantial amounts of money to fighting against human trafficking.
